I used them once never again the second part of the flight was delayed by 17 hours. PS there was a bar when I was there but in the 17 hours it never opened.

EVA for non stop. Mostly no you cant leave the airport. Always check the stopover time as you don't want to be stuck in an Airport for more than a few hours.

Some points are valid you just have to look around every day on the net. I used southhall travel once over priced but I did book last minute so i paid it. If the fare hikes to £1000 it will keeps the Benidom Brigade away I would pay it. Not that want to pay the sort of money.
