  1. Soft tows are still allowed in Western Australia. Jost a maximum and minimum tow rope length and a red flag on the rope in daylight or a red light at night.
  2. Thanks Evil, I will have to give it a go next month.
  3. I've stayed at Metro Apartments, Billabong and Kilkenny they were all much the same, large comfortable rooms, big bath room and good aircon. I've also stayed at the Pasadena Lodge several times for about the same price. Pasadena has a lift and the rooms at the back were a bit quieter. Last time I stayed at New Nikom Court in Soi Lenkee. 5 min walk from LK Metro. Large room big bathroom and very little soi noise. 750baht a night.
  4. Air Asia X flight from Perth to Bkk via Kl. Leave at 6.50am arrive in Bangkok (Dmk) 5.30pm. Taxi into Bangers for one night b4 Bell bus to Pattaya next day. $540 Aus.
  5. Airasia is having one of their sales until the 13th Oct. They are for flights from the 14th October 2013 to August 2014. I just booked for March next year Perth to Bangkok via Kl, 20kg checked bag for$ 480 Aus. Less than half the price of Thai or Jetstar.
  6. You can get a tube of 7 x 100mg effervescent tablets for about 300 baht from that pharmacy near tims. Orange flavor no bitter after taste ant they break in half easily. Half a tab in a bottle of water had the same effect as half a regular tab.
  7. I always use a combination of cash and Mastercard. You will find that you will get a better exchange rate for cash. I have also used a Travelex Cash Passport card from the Australia Post office, like a prepaid debit card, which you can set up with Bpay from your Ausie bank account. Comes with 2 cards so you can keep one in the safe. But short for short trips cash is King. When are you going? It's Sept for me.
  8. I have been numerous times in September. Never had a problem. Just take an umbrella and you will be fine. I'm also coming to Thailand in September but not sure if it will be a Pattaya trip. Maybe an up country trip only.
  9. I've done the Phitsanulok to Pattaya trip by bus once. 78 hours on the bus and was knackered by the time i got there. Used Nok Air ever since and now they fly about 4 or 5 times daily, 50 min flying time from DMK
  10. I wish I could be there! Had a Blast last year. Happy Birthday
  11. Now I know where I will be going on my first night in town
  12. I was there in mid March and it was going full swing back then. My wingman BF'd the showgirl on the receiving end of a black strap on and was unable to walk the next day!!!
