  1. Bingo! There's your negative, Johnny. What was the side-bet again? You buy me soda. Andy P.S. Not sure why you expected more negativity but you weren't disappointed at least... (like he was... oh, STFU Andy) P.P.S. More pics of Duan please (with her noms out if poss...) P.P.P.S. Not many bars where you can expect to find a hive of activity and an owner in attendance much before 8pm (or later) in my experience GP. At least at Martinell you could have played pool or air hockey... or any number of Wii and Kinect games . I probably would have headed for soi 6 for some se
  2. Hi Tim Constructive criticism - I had the big breakfast at the Devonshire on July 3rd - the bacon was lean but lacking in bacon flavour, the mushrooms were watery, the poached eggs were excellent but there was too much vinegar in the water used to poach them. The BM who invited me had regaled me in advance about the fresh crusty bread used for the toast (from the bakery on soi Xcyte he said) but that wasn't what we had. I did appreciate the black pudding and added some pepper to mine as I like it a bit spicy. Our table didn't have any marmelade or jam on it and we spotted too late
  3. Now this lady would have to get my vote, and for very good reason.....PHWOOOAAAAAARRR!
  4. Got "appointments" backing up before imminent departure Jonny so excuse me not coming by - will do next trip with Flo though - get her to wear the T-shirt..... Enjoy your rest during the election closure.... Andy P.S. All the boards are different - your big signature area looks very "Addicts" and that bloke Brian (who he?).... Culture shock for some?
  5. I'm only coming back if "spaced-out" girl is there.... (and she's sober and pretends to like me until noon the next day....) Andy
  6. Agreed - but the lad's a boardnewb.... See if he checks back, it's his job after all.... vid 5 is very funny though, and original stuff at least; hope it's meant tongue in cheek (rest just shite IMHO). Yes on location. :thumbup
  7. Johnny is a fine young lad (so he is), and I enjoy his company for a chat.... Hey Johnny. Do a little typing as well as posting your vids and I'm sure the BMs will warm to you and pop in for a quick one or two. I'm back in circulation later today and will see you for the same on Wednesday.... guess the lovely D is also back.... Andy P.S. Correct on the location loupole... as the girl said in vid 5 "you turn reft, you walk stlait" - if you can walk stlait that is. That walk is longer on video.....
  8. Being somewhat of an expert.......... Singha's bog standard Sodahhhhhhh seriously does it for me. Jing jing Andy
  9. BF'd there last night - all as normal.....
  10. That's true. The AC + fan is enough to cover the kerfuffle outside. I was in C2 for 4 days until yesterday - now moved to a noisier room at Sutus on Soi Lengkee (always move about)..... Some bloke on a recent thread complained the ACat Billabong wasn't good enough - absolute bollux - you have to know how to use an AC remote that's all. Excellent wifi (pretty well one router for each floor) with a password changing daily means it never gets clogged.... 3 flights of stairs, good for exercise, the "half pint of pure pleasure called Su". It all works! Andy Cap
  11. Another great travelogue CT - excellent and very informative stuff (as usual). Like my mother would say "it saves me having to go" One question, one comment. What's the top script on the Chinese gate (above the half/half Thai/Chinese panel)? I reckon that "food container" looks like a "used food container". Thanks Andy P.S. Sounds like nipping into Malaysia was a good move based on the last 140km - once again, nobody about in your pics......??
  12. That's actually what I was thinking....(no, REALLY!!!). I'm on the wagon and the question was quite straight (REALLY!!!)
  13. It's all in the title really.... During "bar closures" - are bars closed closed or actually open and not serving booze? Last time I was there we were in a gogo which was open but with no booze until 7-11 started selling again - that was a "Buddha Day" I think. Thanks in advance Andy Cap P.S. Oops, just saw the other thread on the same subject - so anywhere that serves food can stay open and bars not, even if they don't serve alcohol?
  14. Yeh, that's what I thought MM. CT reports short on words of explanation for our education?... it just isn't the same... Some beautiful photos though (nobody about?). AC
  15. Great pics CT - it looks difficult to get served though. I wonder if people fall in? Andy
  16. Now that seems a great set-up - with an end in sight at all times.... This also makes a lot of sense (6 a bit greedy though Ron! Ah, but been there done that sort of haven't you ? Gonna miss that breakfast....). We had a live-in boom-boom au pair in 1991, but she ended up wanting the husband, the house and one of the kids.... (she lost BTW - well some of you know Flo... .). Great 4 months or so though, while it lasted . Last two months of the contract were stony silence apparently but I'd buggered off to Saudi by then Our neighbour who just passed away at 80ish had his w
  17. 12 sleeps until departure...

  18. Fo sum ze vor vil nefa be ofa..... Nice one! Andy Cap
  19. Hey, I was just thinking this morning of going "cold turkey"...... Land on the 17th. Hic! Andy Cap
  20. "Eagerly Drink" - I bet you did! Is somebody subletting the train loos - "The cabinet is special 100bht" ? Sounds like a Google translation from French. Nice pics, some of the tour group look less than happy campers though. Cheers +1 Andy Cap
  21. I resemble that remark, hic ! Andy Cap
  22. Just happened on this - great report teelack. I particularly like the above picture - I was interested to hear the park was constructed in the 50s as I was about to ask about its "ancient architecture"! Oh..... and on the plane "no more wine PLEEEEEAASSSSSSE!" Thanks for the education. Andy Cap Not sure why the photo isn't showing so this is the one...
  23. :bhappy That'll fix 'em for sure.... people tell me they can rip the safe off the wall and carry it across reception without anyone spotting them - sneaky! (Then straight back to bed!)
  24. And you would have thought that the police had better things to do than check for bedbugs That's a useful looking link +1 AC
