  1. Hi Pete I have to disagree with both ThaiLearner and Pattaya Mad. (No wait a minute - double negative in Pattaya Mad's post - what are we to make of that???!!!) I'm with Montydog. Shirts should go on when leaving the beach or poolside and be worn at ALL TIMES elsewhere. That's just a question of class - in my case "working". (Unless you're in the Cap d'Agde Naturist Village of course). Chances of TGs going topless ZERO so a blanket ban (i.e. no blankets allowed either!) Oh yeh... must have a look at your vid (what was the OP about?????) Andy Cap
  2. Nice one Paul Just watched it at the office....singing Debbie's theme tune too - didn't spot Oosa on there but I'll show her it later for the memories... Cheers Andy Cap
  3. Oh shit, we'll all have to go to the beach - where is it again? Andy Cap
  4. And I've never been to Polo bar..... So WTF is it?
  5. Thanks for telling us all where that is clever clogs... Andy Cap
  6. Congratulations aussiexpat Hope your new acquisition brings you much happiness.... 6.6M baht + 3,850 baht a month maintenance if I calculate correctly. Thanks for the info and the informative thread... Chok Dee Andy Cap
  7. Spasiba Tovarich Marteen! What are they all going to do when that blue tube neon goes out of fashion? Love that late sixties sofa and armchairs BTW. Sacré bleu Ricky! Andy Cap (yeh I'm bored at the office in between jobs...)
  8. Hope all is going well for you over there Alf. Back in France now.... Deb sends her regards. Nice pics - will borrow some to add to my TR. Andy
  9. Reckon I might drop in later today if those pics are anything to go by - BTW I will be lookin' Andy Cap
  10. I'll drop in on Saturday - I take it it's on soi 17 off Walking Street???? Andy Cap
  11. That looks most interesting! Thanks Andy Cap
  12. Well THAT will be a "mustn't miss" Adam, see you there. Andy Cap
  13. Great idea Pete.... only ever seen that done with Churrascaia all-you-can-eat BBQ.... much better with what's on your "menu". Will try it out and add to my TR in a couple of weeks....! Cheers Andy Cap
  14. Hi Wally I'm 47 - feel old in Europe and young in Thailand. You'll feel the same but with bells on. Many Thai girls like to "take good care" of (and be taken care of) by gentlemen of a certain age (of which I count myself BTW). No too-late nights, no thumping discos and good companionship. You'll never forgive yourself if you don't....... Andy Cap
  15. No noise there in June..... only stayed 3 days at end of trip. Andy Cap
  16. Hi Paps (glad you didn't call me twat - but there's still time for that I suppose - fat twat even , fat stupid twat also might spring to mind.) Used to be a restaurant critic in Saudi Arabia (you'd be surprised.....) so food is a hobby..... plenty of eating places still to visit in Pattaya.... shied off the monster bugs... but ate everything else. Mrs Cap has day off and fresh oysters with shallot vinegar and grilled octopus skewers on the barbie for lunch today so I'm off back home from the office for that now. Nice chilled white wine at 1 euro a litre from the Cave Cooperative and n
  17. Ah Fish and Chips! Can't get them in France at all!!!!!! (Why did I move here?) Simon's (on the right at beginning of Jomtien coming from Pattaya) is indeed excellent but the Pig and Whistle's (soi 7) really got me this last trip - I know it's sit down but they were TOP NOTCH. Agree that a good quality takeaway eat-in-street would work.... no qualms in LOS about eating in the street.... Andy Cap
  18. Sorry we couldn't be there Alf and a belated happy birthday. TQ2 is Mrs Cap's favourite place for a fun time (oh yeh apart from Hell Club.. but I suppose for different reasons). Shame you started on a hangover but you look pretty fresh in the pic! What anybody who has never been there cannot know is how friendly the girls are - give me a friendly chatty 7 over a too-pretty-for-you 9/10 any day. Perhaps that is your secret to success? Live long and prosper - BTW why aren't you wearing the mambo shirt? Andy Cap
  19. Just so you know - the word/logo in the pics is Al-Qaanuun, which means "the law" and that looks like a gavel next to it so if you don't like (Arabic-speaking) lawyers that's another good reason not to stay there.... I might though... Andy Cap
  20. Had no problem there with Mrs. Cap. Pre-barfined a girl at 8pm for a midnight pick-up, went off and let her dance and LD-sell, got the pick-up at midnight. She stayed LT and was very nice indeed! Just first hand experience..... Andy Cap
  21. Hi Alf Really sorry to miss your half century but we can make up for it in Sept (12 to 25). I'm coming solo but D sends her love. Have a great evening.... and see you later on. Andy
  22. Doh! Silly me... So I get the okay from Winglady for the trip and go online to book and lo and behold a fuel surcharge included in the TAX part (added on after the "price"). So it's a no-go..... Not 540 euros but 738 .... caveat emptor (or something like that).... mai pen rai. Andy Cap
  23. Thanks for that link glynbuk. I've just had a look from Paris and at 540 euros (623 euros including TGV from Agde to and from airport) a solo trip might be on for me in September!!!! Brilliant! Andy Cap P.S. That's 429 sterling Paris-BKK-Paris - that deal was not on any of the "cheap" search sites when I looked the other day
  24. Winglady (non-golfer) and I (crap occasional golfer) passed on an invite to BBB Tuesday back in May.... regretting it now. Will deffo join in next visit now I know where to find the thread. Cheers Andy Cap
  25. Thanks for the update Pete - it may be boring to you but as I read I can feel the breeze and the ozone and the hear the relative quiet and almost see the view... Cheers Andy Cap P.S. Good new about the "buy and keep a bottle" - note to memory
