  1. At least 63 others. What a laugh, with your vast knowledge of football that's the best guess for the number of CB's you can come up with? GIYF. Try it sometimes
  2. You are just sore SF made a stupid call in the 2013 championship game
  3. I really ron't give a shit about other CB's. I posted his stats earlier. Read them, they show his record since he has joined the league. Just what do you think his responsibilities are besides covering his receiver and helping others IF and ONLY IF your guy is out of the play. Cover EVRYWHERE on the field? coffee for the refs? inflating the balls? helping receivers up after he tackles them? You seem to be the expert on all things about the NFL elighten me just. Let me help you understand. 4th and 10, ball on the 50 ,neither team has timeouts, 2 point lead and 1 minute left.
  4. After a run on 2nd down, the only two options left were a second run....and no time for a third one or a pass for either a touchdown or incomplete and stoppinfpg the clock. That is really a no brainer
  5. From what computer did you get the 5% chance from...even a sixth grader should be able to figure out 1 of 5 is 20%. My first estimate was based on his overall results from anywhere on the field. Since they were now at the goal line with NE defending the run, I revised the estimate based on the year long results for that exact scenaperio. There is no doubt that Seattle would run the ball twice, they just opted to have a third chance and a elected to pass for either a touchdown or incomplete stopping the clock. Seattle has a coaching staff who ccould figure out that a pass and then 2 runs gave
  6. No Ricket Science. football 101 . One of the finer nuances of the game that is hard to comprehend is the area of responsiblity players have. Perhaps this helps http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/the-positions-in-a-football-secondary.html Sherman's roll is to prevent a receiver on HIS side of the field from making a play. Simple as that. He is not free to roam to the other CB area because that would leave his responsibilty wide open. He is not free to blitz the QB again leaving jphis receiver open. In this game, the other CB was a backup who replaced the starter injured in the fi
  7. Sherman was "barely visable" because NE did not run plays his way. Quick test.... Who do you challenge. 1. Pro Bowl CB who had an interception in each of the other playoff games? 2. Lane's replacement...second year player and 138th overall choice Simon? NE was far too smart to challenge Sherman when thay had other targets far more lucrative. Bonus question 6 seconds left in the first half and trailing 7-14. Ball on the 11. What do you do? 1. Take sure field goal and escape trailing 10-14 2. Try pass for TD. Seattle picked a pass....brilliant call or stupid also? And
  8. LOL. Wrong again I do wish I had shermans drive and skills.. Not to mention contract
  9. You clealy have no clue on Sherman's all-in playing style. He plays at 100% all of the time. "In your face " should be his middle name. He will not hesitate a second to do it again. He remembers everything about the game. Just look at his comments after the tip in the 2013 NFC championship. His tirade on the sidelines caught everyone by surprise.... It was only much later that we found out it was about something that was said to him in the previous off-season. A league with players showing up and going through the motions would be like watching the NFC south every game
  10. I am not defending or making excuses for losing. I am trying to get people to understand that a bad outcome does not make the play the worst call ever......it appears to be almost impossible . In fact, many coaches don't understand and get dumped every year for poor performance based on their calls. What hope is there on a mongers board
  11. I have never said or made excuses for the loss, I am trying to show the pass call, however bad the outcome, was not bad like most people think. Football is a game of risk vs reward. You take certain risks (interception or incomplete) based on the reward (touchdown). You considers fumbles and yards lost when handing the ball off. Lynch had 3 fumbles in 2014, 4 in 2013 and 5 in 2012. Lynch also scored only 1 time in five tries from the 1 yard line in 2014 I don't have his stats handy but he had carries in the game where he lost yards, some when when it was not an obvious run call with the e
  12. Exactly..3 plays but only time for 2 runs.. The pass on 2nd down was a goid call.. No one expected it
  13. The call is certainly not nearly universally condemned. In fact, there is a large group who believes the bad coaching was by NE. Lets take this slowly.. 2nd down on the 1 yard line with a bit over 1 minute left. 3 downs left to score. The whole world expects a run and a touchdown probably on the first play leaving around 1 minute for Brady to work a miracle and get into field goal range,a very doable thing. Seattle had 1 timeout left which if you follow footbal realy means only 2 runs when the second down was started at 26 seconds...no time for a third play. In reality 2nd down was a
  14. A true fourty whinner.. Your hatred of the Seahawks is obviuos. Is that due in part because it comes at the expense of the NFC west and particularly the 49'ers? I admit though the 49'er organization is good entertainment... I still get a good laugh about the memo they put out telling people in SF how too properly cheer the next time Seattle came to town
  15. how many teams do you recall celebrating somwones loss and not their own win. A miraculas interception at the end hardly makes them a "better" team. It just makes them the winner.
  16. Of course, Lynch ran for 102 yards on 24 carries and a TD at last Sunday's Super Bowl, as compared to Blount's 40 yards on 14 carries
  17. I have been a Seahawks fan since their inception. I can appreciate a well fought game by great teams and honest effort on the field. I never had a team I hated and rooted to loose except maybe Oakland in the 70's with Jack Tatum Prior to the disgusting behavior during the "victory parade" it was just like the Seahawks. Now I will root against New England no mater who they play....even SF :-) Class act Classles act
  18. Just responding to comments about the class of the saehawks... Which is worse, reaction in the heat of the game....or classless displays days later. Even a patriot fan can not get that wrong
  19. The Seahawks reacted in the heat of a hardfought game, and right after victiry was lost on a 1 in 100 play. I don't see anyone posting pictures of the patriots victory parade several days later or any of the instances they were caught cheating. They have already been proven to cheat by videotaping opponants practices and "According to ESPN, 11 of the 12 game balls were found to be underinflated by about 2 pounds each. The NFL specifications say they must be inflated to 12½ to 13½ pounds." Talk about bad winners and a team mentality that cheating will let you prosper.
  20. The only time I ever tried an extension ( during the airport shutdown), I was given 2 weeks at the Jomtien office and told I could comeback and get a second 2...but needed all the copies and paperwork again Of course, the fee was not reduced
  21. Do you count his interception among that???
  22. A defense that does not give up a pount will never lose. Worst case 0-0-16 ....an offense that scores everytime may lose every game if they have fewer possensions 0-16-0
  23. After a few days to absorb tne outcome, lets look at who really blew the call. Seatle had the ball 1st and goal. The first down play gained 4 to place the ball on the 1 yard line. First thought...give the ball to Lynch and run...BUT looking closer. 80% or so chance to score on a run. 2 runs 96%. 3 99%. Except with only one time out, they would not get 3 running plays off. Basically the second down pass was a throw away play...and NE had their running defense in. In all of 2014 no team who threw from the one yard time was intercepted. Seattle really needed to kill the clock....o
  24. I thought the import of bikes ovet 120 or so was already banned. Easy to get around though.parts are OK. I agree that the large crotch rockets should be banned...at least for short stay tourists and no Thai drivers license
