I have used them before when I flew in from Manilla. They are safe and reliable....BUT the schedule does not work for me coming from USA. Departure times are 0800 to 1800 every 2 hours and my flight gets in around midnight. Sucks to wait 8 hours

Dublin to Amsterdam is considered a domestic flight. You would transfer to the international section in Amsterdam to get to Bangkok. I suspect that is the reason for passport. I have notflown through in over a year but flights to USA had screening at the gate

Another reason for fewer upgrades( but the possibilty of a travel voucher) is that airlines have started using planes with far fewer buisiness ckass seats. SEA-NRT-BKK on Delta used to be 747's with 48 seats. Now it is A330 or 767 with 36 or so.

Delta gives free upgrades ONLY if the have oversold coach. I have gotten one free upgrade since the merger with NorthWest. Before it was 1 in 4 legs(status has been Diamond or Platinum). I suspect lower would have no chace. My last trip, I had purchased a coach seat but saw an option to upgrade to business for all legs for about 1/2 of what a business class seat cist.

10k seems way over the top. I know Residence Garden does not require one. Did you book during Christmas/New Years? I can see where they might want one but even then it would be too much to for ask 10k. That would cover 1 week at alot of places.

My first time in Pattaya was in 1999. On may second trip, I was going to have more shirts made since I was pleased with the ones I had gotten the last time. A co-worker had been here previously and knew where to get shirts made for 10 baht less then I had paid. He was willing to show me the shop since he was going to go there to pick up shirts he had taken there to be repaired because of bad workmanship. Does paying 10 baht more for shirts that do not require repairesmake me a LDOP?

They advertise chaep flights and then start the add-ons Carryon Checked bag costs ,if i recall 15,20,25 kg choices..God forbid you guess low because the airport cost is 10 times the web cost Meals automatically added. Most of my arrivals are on Delta from Narita which lands around midnight. I have had zero long delays and have always had to wait for my bag. The only long delay was arriving on a Philippine Airlines flight around from Manilla around 10. In that case, both areas were packed and it took over an hour. Part of the delay was caused by passengers not having the proper forms filled out. They would be handed those when they got to the front and then sit down to fill them out....blocking the line.
