queen vic soi 6 any one stayed there lately?
timbon replied to spiderdaz's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I seem to recall that our American pals count the ground floor as floor one so in English terms there are only 3 floors at the QV -
Nothing will happen down Soi 6. They'll try to get it in a hole and miss.....

Yes. It was 7 hrs on my last trip which was the gap they provide a hotel for. Looks like they've moved the schedule flight times a hour to save on hotel bills

Flight gets in at 5.15 am, flight to heathrow takes off at 11.15 am so it will be a sleep/drink/eat/wander in the airport. Anyone know if the bar is open all night?

Wonderfully informative website you have there.....www.theofficepattaya.com

Royal Jordanian no longer provide a free of charge hotel room for the stop over in Amman on the return leg from BKK to LHR. Dispite this I find £477 in Feb good value and with the arrival/departure times Bells bus can be used to and from swampy.
-
Regarding travelers cheques has anyone used Travelex http://www.travelex.co.uk ? TC's no commision and can be sent to home address or collected from departure airport edit just rechecked and they charge 1.5%, maybe thats why Nationwide stopped as they used travelex.

Yep mate, I flew with them. Outward you are only in Amman airport for an hour or so and most of that time is spent getting off one plane and transiting to the other. Inward there is a 7 hour stop over but a room is provided at a hotel just outside the airport. Time enough for a shower and a bit of shut eye in a horizontal position before a bit of brecky before the flight home. One plus point is that the arrival and departure times at swampy make Bell bus a viable option both ways. On the minus side I booked with RJ direct and the price on their web page was converted to US dollars

Flights are looking expensive for January.

It's a USA site in $ . When converted it is more expensive than British sites. -

History shows that EVA tend to have special offers around 4 months from departure Dave, hang on in there! I plane to fly out on Feb 4th. hope our paths cross again. -
Spoke to someone today who booked through Virgin for a flight to Mumbai and was suprised to find herself on a Kingfisher flight! She said it was OK but what realy pissed her off was when she got back and checked Kingfisher's prices for the same flight and found it was £200 cheaper!

Too long! February 2009!

As a first time flyer with EVA would I need to belong to the Evergreen club to get the cheap flights?

Quote:- "With the batteries providing power for up to an hour, aviation sources said the failure would have been a disaster if it had occurred further out to sea. " If it was trans Atlantic probably yes but surely the route to Bangkok never takes it more than an hour from an airport.
