Been staying at Areca on and off for 5 years and cannot fault it. Just back 3 days ago from staying in Evergreen on a high floor. Very quiet except for the moans and screams from my GF Worth every cent for the super deluxe room.

There seems to be mixed feelings about Songkran. To me it looks like loads of laughs and I hope to make it one year. Every year when I come to Pattaya my holidays fall either side of it. One day Thanks Hammer. Nice work

It has been explained to me on more than one occasion that it is my role in society (Hong Kong) to pay a different price (more) than the locals as I earn more than them and that I "deserve" to be charged more. Also that it is right for me to support the local economy. I was told that there have always been two prices- one for the Chinese and one for the white folk. ummm and they say that we are racist towards the Chinese.

Different countries, different ways of naming things. Yes I mean a jacuzzi tub. Having said that, to me that is the thing you find in someones backyard.

I will be returning in April and while that is some time away I way thinking while looking at some past TR that I want to get a room with a spa this time. Perhaps this topic has been done before....but I would be interested in finding out what hotels offer spas and how much is the rate. I enjoy Areca but no spa in the room.

It's not too bad. Worth the visit just to see the TG screem as she flies down the slides. What kills is for me is the Arabs swimming in the white boxers and then changing in full view at the pools edge.

I am not a big drinker and find that if I mix too much alcohol with the little blue pill I feel like cutting my head off in the morning so a few Singha lite and perhaps a scotch and water.

I think the best thing about the place is the view and the atmosphere. The food is ok but average and the beer is sometimes warm. You need to take along a beautiful woman to distract you from the problems.
