If money aint an issue you can get decent Dell lappies, ive got a latitude 6400 running quad core CPU (QX9300), 17" WUXGA screen (1920 x 1200), Nvidia FX3700m Graphics card, 16gb DDR3 ram, 320gb+500gb Hard drives etc, cost was up around the 6k mark (USD), its used for 3d CAD work and is very very capable.
