Robins Nest Up For Sale
Mr.Dream Transport replied to Obsession's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
They also have a number of motorbikes, 10 or so from what I recall. And they also have a minibus doing visa runs out of there. So I imagine you are getting all the vehicles along with the restaurant/guesthouse. It is a larger sized setup, and had one of the better breakfast buffets in town. I always remember them being quite busy nearly all the time. I wonder whats changed over the past 6 months? -
Taxi/minivan from airport into Bagkok?
Mr.Dream Transport replied to samjjohn's topic in Transport in Thailand
Yes you would pay upon arrival. I would be hesitant of anyone asking for the money up front. Feel free to shoot me an email and I'll be happy to setup either a minivan or minibus for you. -
If his bar has proper insurance and licensing, then he might want to have it listed with a Thai business sales company. I know on Sunbelt Asia's website, they have a list of Thai businesses for sale. Undoubtedly there are probably more then a few people looking for specifically this kind of business. Many of those on the forums, or those of us that live in LOS, are probably going to steer away from investing any money in a new bar at the moment. I am sure there are quite a few of them up for sale at the moment. That would probably be your best bet as far as I can tell at least anyways for the time being. This is just my opinion of course, although I am pretty sure it will be validated by most here.

Its a great place to go with a large group of people, or even just a Thai lady in tow. The dishes tend to be a bit smaller, but at the prices, most will order multiple dishes and share. I have gone there with a few friends a while back, and loved the place. Excellent desserts as well. Price, selection, and atmosphere all get an A+ as far as I'm concerned.

How to get rid of a one night stand
Mr.Dream Transport replied to pcdodger's topic in Funnies Section
If it were in LOS, I was going to say to just tell her your out of money. -
You can get cheaper rates on most hotels then what their websites advertise. My normal place advertises over 1350 a night, but never pay more then 850. The key to this is actually calling them and booking your room, as opposed to doing it via the websites. That is my best suggestion, as most of the time if you call, they feel they are going to get the business right away. As for Opey, have had many customers going and coming from there, so its another one that I would recommend based on that fact. If I am doing ride alongs I try and ask the customers how they liked their stay, and everyone is happy to share the ups and downs of their hotel.

A newly enforced rule with all my drivers now, a few of which were not too happy with this lol, is now in place. There are 3 conditions after checking their driving history, and that there licenses and insurances are up to date. 1. Ride alongs the first week of employment, then randomly at my choosing. This way I can tell if my drivers are moonlighting or are not fit for too many pickups in a day for us. With the 4-5 pickups they are limited to under my company licensing, as thats all I will give most drivers, are enough for them to do quite well for the day, and really does wear them out quite a bit. I have ridden with drivers for 2-3 days straight in different cars, and I was ready to crash half-way through the 2nd day, so I don't want that creating an unsafe working environment or jeopardizing my customers safety. 2. Random drug testing and a pre-employment drug test are now MANDATORY with all drivers, including my missus. I go down and take the tests myself with my drivers, as I would never ask them to do anything I myself would not do. 3. There is a 10-hour drivers safety course offered by a very reputable school in BKK, all my drivers are required to complete this course and get their certificate. Some drivers opt to do a few hours a day, others to complete the course in 2 days. No certificate, no driving. As my drivers complete these courses, they will be available for display in the drivers vehicles. I also do quite like how the meter taxis have the signs with the drivers names on them. Its kind of embarrassing if you are unsure of a drivers name, to constantly be like, "hey you!" As well, if you happen to have liked a specific driver during one of your pickups and prefer to have the same driver again, it will be easy enough to email us with your drivers name and request a specific driver. If its possible to arrange this driver, or a specific vehicle such as the minivan or Avanzas, we will happily do so at the same price. I believe the single biggest thing that we have done with what we offer, for the prices we offer them for, is basically pushed aside the companies that subcontract drivers out, and take 1/3 of what they are making on the pickups just for the opportunity to pick up extra work. The margin of what we make on the vehicles I do not own outright, is so small, that there are no companies that use this practice that are able to compete with our prices. We started out as a group of independent drivers, and a person with an idea about cutting out the middleman pricing structure. This recipe has boded quite well for us, as our drivers are happy, our customers are happy, and we are able to keep affordable rates. I can't speak for what lies ahead in the future, as when gas prices go up, we will have no choice but to follow that trend in our pricing. But you guys do have my promise I will keep these prices as low as I can to ensure happy drivers, such as is the case now. Again, there has been an extreme amount of patronage and support from the Talk crowd, and that is truly appreciated all the way around. We do have something in the works as a way of saying thank you, that will be a big surprise for one lucky customer, but thats a few weeks off from getting worked out. In the meantime though, with all of our bookings made through Talk, be sure to mention the FLB board when booking as that also gets you the advertised prices here. Thank all of you again for your support, as we couldn't have gotten to this point without your support.

Thanks Sexyman. The drivers are given dispatch papers once a week, and then get sms texts for each day for their pickups, so the names are right when we get to them. I know in the past, because of the length of some names, the drivers will start to write a name and leave a few letters out. When my missus does pickups, she pre-writes the signs the night before so I can make sure they are all up to par. Will definitely emphasize to the drivers though about printing up the signs a bit better. I would like to be able to print them up off the computer, but getting printed signs to every driver every day, is nearly impossible. But will be certain to keep a closer eye on them in the future.

I'd happily take you up on that if I am able to spend more then a few hours in town in the coming few weeks. Will give you a pm if it works out that way.

And you are all set to go Todder. I talked with him this morning, he still has all your details. Have a safe flight and a good trip my friend!!!

Ok, I'll make this simple. Mr.Dim, my partner has his number on my business cards. Same company same drivers. While me and him both go by Mr.Dream-English, Mr.Dream-Thai, and my missus by Mrs.Dream, I hold the company licensing. We started the company together, but he is more content just driving and dispatching. He doesn't bother with anything to do past that, that would be me and my missus. He's my best Thai friend here, and my best driver, so he is often times the driver that gets the most pickups next to my own personal vehicles. Sometimes pickups are arranged with the drivers directly, in cases such as these, we receive no emails. Hence we cannot reply to emails that have not come in. Mr.Dim the driver you both are talking about Saints and Todder, you guys have used directly out of the RH, as his wife works there, and he often times is in there visiting his wife. So only one Mr.Dream and one Mr.Dim, but when he talks it sounds like Mr.Dream with his accent Hence Mr.Dream-Thai. If you put up a business card for me and him, they are exactly the same, his number is for Thai, and mine is for English. If you make an arrangement with a driver in person, our drivers report those back to me and Mr.Dim so we can arrange the pickups depending on the kind of vehicle needed, location of pickup or dropoff, or time of day or night. Mr.Dim is the only person within our company that doesn't have to report a pickup if its scheduled with him directly, as he was a driver for another company prior to us starting this together, so has past customers as well from before we formed the company. I will happily make sure that he still has the booking for you Todder. If he doesn't, then I'll have to get your information then arrange the pickup for you. Depending on other bookings, it might be another driver that comes to greet you though at the airport. So as you said Todder, because it was made via a 3rd party, I had no clue about it, and in a few hours when I call him, he might not have any clue about it either lol. Will pm you if I need to get your details though tonight.

I happened to stop by and visit Roberto while I was in town the past few days. The pic of the girl on the right in the post above, does not do her justice at all. She is the #1 stunner that was there while I was. If I didn't have my missus, would've loved to taken her out for a test drive. Roberto is a great host, and while I did not get to see the rooms while I was there, can say its worth a visit for sure. I am looking forward to hopefully adding this lovely lady I mentioned to our VIP pickups. If you like big milk, great attitude, and a killer body, this chicks the real deal. Gogo quality girl for sure. Roberto, I already made my sauce and will drop some off next time in town.

I know, its got to be cleaned up and arranged properly, but of course the prices that are there at the 1,400baht would be applicable to people that are non- board members or not referred through a customer. So at least you can see the discount that we do have for all the board members. As well, its not listed in there, but we do have a round trip package to save 100baht as well. If you book your airport pickup and dropoff together, then you will get a 100baht discount, taking the RT price down to 2000baht. We are trying to do everything we can to make the prices as agreeable as we can. And while I have not had a chance to list this yet, as I was away at the time, because of the volume of customers coming in, I said I would like to make the 1,100 and 900 regular prices and not just a summer special rate. Happily I am able to say that is going to be the case, these will in fact be our new year round prices. So any bookings made outside the summer or after it, will be done for those prices. I will try my best to keep on doing all that I can to bring the prices down yet again, but at this time, these prices will be fixed at least throughout the season.

I have a rough draft of the website being hosted through a friends site, more of a test site if you will. That still needs some pics taken, but happily give you guys a peek. http://dancewatchers.com/Pattaya_Airport_P..._Transport.html

I believe you should have it by now if you are traveling within the next 7 days. And for everyone, our meeting point at the airport is the same for all pickups. Once you clear customs, you will look for the blue signs overhead, they refer to an area called "the meeting point", this is by the gate 3 exit, this is where all drivers wait with your names on their signs.

Thats actually one of my drivers named Mr.Dim, his phone number is on all of our business cards along with mine. And your welcome to post that if you like, as I already have that posted in my initial adverts for one of his phone numbers. Cheers to you though for taking the time to care.

With the sheer number of emails at the moment, and me being busy with both the charity and some stuff getting sorted for the website, I did have to prioritize everyone by pickup date in my initial replies with people. Our secondary confirmations that we send out to let you know we haven't forgotten you is where the delay came in, but everything is back up to speed now. That would also answer why its taken me 1 day to respond to any thread that has Mr.Dream in it.

Just so everyone knows why I was unavailable for 2 days, we were in Pattaya doing some charity work at the Father Ray Foundation. So we had spent one day out there with 2 of my drivers and cars, bringing a bunch of people that were wanting to make donations to the charity. Unfortunately while we were out there, my missus had forgotten my laptop, so I had to go use the internet cafes to take care of confirmation sendouts on a day by day basis. We are back now, so there will not be any more delays in responses. I apologize to anyone if I had neglected them till the last moment on the secondary confirmation.

Many police and sheriff's departments do just that. Same goes for pepper spray. You can see videos all over the net of cops training with the taser guns. They feel that if an officer knows how the tasers feel, they will be better able to determine when would be appropriate to use them, same same for pepper spray. I think it might have been a bit excessive to have tasered, then shot a chihuahua 3 times. I mean you can practically drop kick the dogs 50yds., and your telling me that 2 cops couldn't get a small dog like that under control? Don't cops still carry pepper spray, that as I recall was the first thing they used on dogs and 100% effective. As with any story though, I guess its one of those things you had to be there to be able to make that kind of judgment call.
