Why anyone in their right mind would bring a real Breitling to Thailand is beyond me. If it's the real thing. If it isn't get another one, that fits, from the market. -
I love Kufta and Souvlaki, but how anyone in their right minds can eat a Donor, is beyond me. Thanks Ahbi.

8-10 weeks is not nearly enough to find out about life abroad, let alone Pattaya. Any chance of renting out your house in the UK and living off the rent in Pattaya for, say, a year? -
When you think it's ok to buy a pair of jeans at Marks and Spencers. The stretchy ones.

Don't you have any friends nearby? My parents go away every year for about 4-5 months in the winter. I go to their house two or three times a month, use their phone a few times, use the electricity and gas. In general make it look as if its being used. Had to make one claim, when someone attempted to break in. No problem with insurance.

An older, white-haired man walked into a jewellery store one Friday evening with a beautiful young girl at his side. He told the jeweller he was looking for a special ring for his new girlfriend. The jeweller looked through his stock and brought out a £5,000 ring. The old man said, 'No, I'd like to see something more special.' At that statement, the jeweller went to his special stock and brought another ring over.. 'Here's a stunning ring at only £40,000' the jeweller said. The young lady's eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement.. The old man seeing this said, 'We'll take it.' The jeweller asked how payment would be made and the old man stated, 'by cheque. I know you need to make sure my cheque is good, so I'll write it now and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon,' he said. Monday morning, the jeweller phoned the old man. 'There's no money in that account!!.' 'I know,' said the old man, 'But let me tell you about my weekend'

It can be costly, making such sweeping remarks. Best to ask someone who's gone through the whole process.

From today's BBC website: Police in the Thai resort of Pattaya have questioned Russian musician Mikhail Pletnev over allegations of sex with an under-age boy. Confronted by police in a restaurant, Mr Pletnev could be heard saying: "I never had sex with a boy." The Grammy award-winning pianist and conductor was released on bail after questioning and a search of his home. His orchestra said no charges had been brought against him, he had not been arrested and he was not in custody. The detective in charge of the case, Lt Col Omsin Sukkankha, told Russian news agency Ria-Novosti the musician had been detained in connection with a "statement from the guardians of a 15-year-old boy under the article of the Thai criminal code regarding corruption of a minor". Video of police confronting Mr Pletnev in the restaurant on Monday, then escorting him to his property and conducting a search, was shown by a local TV channel, Pattaya One. In its report, the channel said police officers from the Police Region 2 Child and Women Protection Unit had "served an arrest warrant" on Mr Pletnev after arresting a Thai man on Sunday, who was suspected of child molestation and the procuring of children. Renowned musician According to Ria-Novosti, Russia's consul in Bangkok, Andrei Dvornikov, spoke to Mr Pletnev by phone. He said police had informed Mr Pletnev that "several Thai citizens arrested earlier for paedophilia and the manufacture of child pornography had given evidence against him". The foreign ministry in Moscow said earlier it was seeking to find out why the musician had been detained in Pattaya. Russia's Itar-Tass news agency said Mr Pletnev had a Thai lawyer and had not asked for help from the Russian consulate. Mikhail Pletnev, who won the prestigious Tchaikovsky Gold Medal in 1978, is a much-recorded pianist and the artistic director of the Russian National Orchestra (RNO). The 53-year-old won a 2005 Grammy for an arrangement of Prokofiev's ballet Cinderella. Confirming that Mr Pletnev was at his home in Thailand, RNO press secretary Svetlana Chaplygina said the conductor had been on holiday and was due to return to work shortly, with the orchestra scheduled to begin a European tour within days. According to the RNO's website, Mr Pletnev is due to conduct the orchestra in Macedonia on 12 July.

I think in four years time we should play it on paper. Hold a pen or pencil, point down on a piece of paper and flick the bottom of the pen/pencil.... ...on second thoughts we'd loose at that too.

The phrase, whooped his ass, comes to mind. In the mid 70's, five top Kung-Fu fighters from Hong Kong came to Bangkok to fight(organised) Thai Boxers. Within TWO minutes they were all knocked out.
