  1. The other jokes were funny but this one not so good Two Englishmen - businessmen in London - were sitting down for a break in their soon-to-be new store. As yet, the store wasn't ready, with only a few shelves set up. One said to the other, "I bet any minute now some thick tourist is going to walk by, put his face to the window and ask what we're selling." No sooner were the words out of his mouth when, sure enough, a curious Scotsman walked to the window, had a peek, and in a broad Scottish accent asked, "What are you selling here?" One of the men replied sarcastically, "We're selling arseholes." Without skipping a beat, the Scotsman said, "You are doing well. Only two left!"

Everything we had learned was wrong and had to be the V way ! Some people did not believe the V but the V needed a little more time to bring reinforcements so they took on a reporter/new reader this news reader could hear /see no evil about the V until it was too late i think Mr Pastry played this part and based it on his experiences with the Muslim community in London -jump

  12. I read these stories about opening these safes with a few taps, a potato or the soft manicured hand of a 40kg being able to rip one off the wall and smash it to bits i had one of these, batteries went flat and i forgot the master key, i tried a screw driver no chance, 2lb lump hammer no good in the end i used and angle grinder to cut the welds. i am pretty sure manufactures would update any design that could be open with a little tap as they would be out of business for selling a useless product

  20. Thailand Voted for Spain, so perhaps Thailand can play the world champions to honour the king "Andy Anson, the chief executive of England's bid, has acknowledged for the first time that the Qatar-Spain pact was common knowledge among the bidding nations. That the pact worked for Qatar but not for the Spanish is a bitter irony. Spain were undone by the very understanding that had been expected to deliver the 2018 tournament to their joint bid with Portugal. In the end, other European voters rebelled against the pact, allowing the Russians to muscle in. England crashed out of the race for 2018 after the first round of FIFA executive committee polling, having won only two votes from 22 when five, at the very least, were expected. Two voters targeted by England - Worawi Makudi, of Thailand, and Hany Abo Rida, of Egypt - opted for Spain as part of the pact. At least two more - Michel Platini, of France, and Turkey's Senes Erzik - were expected to switch to England after an initial 'sympathy vote' for the joint bid of Holland and Belgium. But they never got the chance and voting ended at round two with Russia over the line. The Russians had already persuaded other targeted England votes - Marios Lefkaritis, of Cyprus, and Ivory Coast's Jacques Anouma - to vote for them. Both those men were among five 'liars' who told England they would get their support then voted for somebody else. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...l#ixzz17zR4HIPk
  21. English failed in bid for 2018 World Cup in terms of a 'legacy' 05:55 AM Dec 13, 2010 LONDON - FIFA's American member Chuck Blazer has said he voted for Russia over England for the 2018 World Cup because it will open up new markets for football. Blazer said England would have staged a "great World Cup" but that it would have contributed little to the game's development globally. He also insisted that he believes the 2018 decision had been a fair vote. His final decision came down to the legacy of the World Cup - and he was influenced by the tournament's success in South Africa earlier this year. "I voted for Russia," Blazer told Soccer America. "England clearly had a great bid. But in the end, I look at England and say, 'What more would we have when we're finished other than what I am certain would have been a great World Cup?' "I believe that when we're finished in Russia, we'll have accomplished a lot of different things. "We can open up a market that is important from a world perspective. Everyone came away saying, 'Wow, what a great World Cup in South Africa.' "It was a hard process to get there, but nonetheless the event was very, very successful from a TV, marketing, worldwide perspective. "And having done it there, it gave reason for everyone in the world to say, 'We can do it here.' No longer was it reserved for only for the big countries in Europe and the Americas." The irony for Blazer was the same argument that did for England may have lost the American bid for 2022 to Qatar - but he insisted the Middle Eastern state will struggle to deal with the problem of 50°C temperatures in June and July. "I still feel heat is an obstacle that they won't overcome in the time frame in which we hope it will," he added. "Who knows? By then, we may be going around with air-conditioned suits." Blazer acknowledged that the sums spent by Qatar on their bid - running into hundreds of millions of pounds - raised questions about the process. The Telegraph
