  1. Why don't you just give them in to be launder at any Pattaya laundry...the chances are they won't come back.
  2. Is this before or after they have been 'recycled' by the passengers?...
  3. I suggest you slip one of the stewardesses 1000 baht!
  4. Alex has been known to crack open a bottle for his regular customers...
  5. Ricky is indeed one of my favourite managers in Pattaya. In many bars you go in you are just not aware that there is a manager there at all. He is normally the one spending his time drinking himself into oblivion and you will assume that he is just another customer. Not Ricky. He spends his time walking round checking that everyone is OK and greeting everyone with warmth, humour and natural good charm. I remember on one occasion when I and my party spent quite a lot of money in Baby Dolls on Sangsom and coke. One of us got so into things that he donned one of the girl's outfits and da
  6. No, I am not really disputing your times but just quibbling that it is closer to 13 hours rather than 14...so no big deal anyway. I flew twice with Gulf Air - the first time through Bahrain and second through Muscat. All the airports, with the exception of Abu Dhabi I found particulary soul destroying. After an hour in Doha you start running out of things to do or see and Muscat is so small that it is difficult to find any spare seats and there are no decent places to eat - a 5 hour stopover there would be the equivalent of a prison sentence!
  7. You might find some of your answers here.... http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...c=45021&hl=
  8. Because hotel owners who put these things in usual use that as an excuse to double the price of the room - but people are not willing to pay a premium for cheap add ons which will fall apart when you try to use them. Also, with light fingered Thai girls visiting your room, hotel guests are going to be finding that they are paying through the nose for the replacement of objects that seem to have 'walked' out of the room. Guys have enough problems trying to keep an eye on their own stuff.
  9. When I flew with Gulf Air, I went via Muscat in the ME and it was 7.5 hours to Muscat but only 6 hours plus about 10 minutes from Muscat to Bangkok
  10. My luggage was broken into during the stop over on one of Gulf Air's flights and a valuable item stolen. I got no compensation from Gulf Air. I was also bumped off another flight of theres, even though I arrived in time for the flight. Meant that I missed a whole day in Thailand. So never again! I have flown Jet Air for internal flights in India and that has put me off going international with them. Poor food and lots of smelly passengers.
  11. Just wondering whether from talking to the freelancers that you have worked out where they used to hang out before they started coming to the PBG. Was it Beach road, Walking street bars, etc?
  12. It's all part of the 'phallussy' that mongers like to subscribe to that every girl in Pattaya can be bought...and has her price...you just need to find it!
  13. Yeah, why not have a hotel cum bar where everybody in the hotel is available at a price. The hotel maid would be available to be bar fined so that she could do everything....clean the room, clean you, anything.
  14. One good tip if you have a long wait between flights at one of the Arab airports, and you are not eligible to use the lounge, is to head to one of the prayer rooms. They are in actual fact 'quiet' rooms and no praying actually takes place there, unless it is silently. They are just darkened rooms with about a dozen reclining chairs. If you can bag one of them then you can get a bit of shut eye for a couple of hours.
  15. You can get a decent suit in Pattaya from a number of places for around 4000 baht. Bangkok will cost you double this. I don't see the point in paying much more than this e.g. by paying for better quality fabrics or going to a fancier shop. At the end of the day a suit is a suit is a suit and most people can't tell the difference between tailor made and off-the-peg. If the suit is hanging off you like a sack then that is obvious but other than that most off-the-peg suits in the west fit pretty much OK. The fashion these days is for a more relaxed fit and if you have a suit that is
  16. Try right clicking on the wireless network connection icon (normally at the bottom right of the laptop) and choose 'repair' and the laptop will carry out an automatic repair of the isp connection.
  17. I am assuming that it will be a true mongers hotel and that there will be no joiners fee no matter how many girls you take back?
  18. I have noticed more changes in security when arriving at BKK than when leaving. Now ALL bags need to go through a scanner before you can leave the airport after collecting them and there was a sign saying that various things e.g. medical equipment or currency in excess of 20000 USD would be confiscated.
  19. Yep, unlimited food (hot and cold) and drinks. Unfortunately, non-alcoholic!
  20. The 'darkside'...a bit too far to go if you have the munchies.
  21. The girls on Soi 6 are no problem. It's the lady boys that you need to watch out for...
  22. I once agreed 850 baht for a trip from Patts to the airport in the low season with a driver from Mr. T However he stung me for all of the toll charges along the way. When we arrived I only had a 1000 baht note which he took. He then placed my luggage about 5 metres from the car then quickly back tracked to his car saying 'Oh this if for me, thank you', got in and sped away.
  23. The price should be same as you would give a freelancer to warm your bed for the whole night.
