If you have a stopover in Bangkok go to Pantip Plaza for DVD and software. I also buy DVD'd from there and over the years I have had no problems bringing them back. They are always region free so no problems working over here. Hope this helps.

My girlfriend had the same problem, I gave her a credit card on my account. She usually draws a fixed amount each month but this month needed some extra. She was able to withdraw £400 but was refused more. I contacted my credit card company who told me they put a freeze on the account just make sure I was aware large amounts where being withdrawn. This is strange to me as she has done it before without any problems, maybe they are just trying to crackdown on fraud.

Dreamworld Theme Park (Bangkok)
IanRaine replied to IanRaine's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I was going to mention that it wasn't a go go bar before anybody else did. Unfortunately my go go bar days are over. -
Hi guys, on my next trip me & the other half are taking her 6 year old daughter with us. So to keep her entertained we need to go to some family places. I have noticed on the web a theme park in Bangkok called Dreamworld. I have looked at the site, I was just wondering if anybody had been there and what it was like compared to say Alton Towers. Thanks

This is the first time I have travelled with Eva Air , if you book Evergreen Deluxe does this mean you can use the business lounges?
-
The prices are getting crazy, I have just booked flying in March and coming back in April from Manchester. I paid £699.40 for Eva Air (Evergreen deluxe), the reason i dis that is the cheapest cattle class was £506. I though for the extra £195 the big seat and leg room was worth it. Booking early doesn't seem to make it cheaper.

I will book it then, it is via Heathrow. There is only an 90 layover at Heathrow each way so not bad. Thanks.

I usually fly with Emirates but I have used all my miles so I thought I would try somebody else. I'm looking to fly Eva Air Evergreen, but I'm flying from Manchester. I will be going in March and the best price I have had is £682. Is this a good price?

Thanks for the info, I will check it out.

I'm going over to LOS early next year to see the other half. She wants us to go to Cha am. I haven't been there before and I cannot really find a lot of info about the place. Does anybody have good hotels they could recommend and general comments about the place. It is kind of a family holiday as she bringing her daughter and her sisters kids. Thanks

When we booked the Nok Tickets in Thailand, we just rang 1318 from the other halfs mobile and booked them.
-
I made two bookings last trip, I booked some flights on their website. I just printed off the confirmation and took it to the airport. When in Thailand we used the other half's mobile and they sent a text to the mobile with a booking reference. Just quoted the reference wehn we got to the airport and everything was fine.

Me and the other half went to Kaula Lumpur in February, booked the tickets over the internet printed off the confirmation no problem. Good airline, both flights were on time.

Does anybody have any info on Loy Krathong, I know it is in November. My other half keeps asking me to come over for this event. My question is ,does all of Thailand celebrate it or just certain areas. Any help will be appreciated.

There is also Orient Thai. http://www.orient-thai.com/web/home.html I haven't used. I did use Air Asia & Nok last month, both very good. The 2 trolley dollies on Nok were stunning.

Hi, I stayed in this hotel 18 months ago. Very central, though Chiang Rai isnt that big. Not sure about guest policy as I was with my TG. Not many bars, but the ones that are there are about 100 metres away. The market isn't great either, compared to Chiang Mai. http://www.hoteltravel.com/thailand/chiang_rai/wangcome.htm I hope this helps.

Hi , I stayed in this hotel when I went to Koh Chang, I little bit more than your 1500 baht but a very good hotel. http://www.hoteltravel.com/thailand/trat/banpu_koh_chang.htm If this hotel is too expensive see what else they have, I have used http://www.hoteltravel.com/ the last 4 years evreytime I need a hotel in Asia, they are never beaten for price.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before. I remember reading somewhere foreign mobiles don't work in Thailand. I just want to buy a sim card while I'm on holiday. Is this possible or is it too difficult. Thanks Ian

Chang Mai is quite easy to get around, I was there a few years ago with my TG. We stayed at the Lotus Pang Suan Kaew it was about 10 minutes by taxi to the centre of the city. It was next door to a 6 story shopping mall. The hotel ran a shuttle bus each night to the Bazaar. If it isn't any use, I always use http://www.hoteltravel.com I haven't found anybody cheaper. I hope this helps.
