I guess what this boils down to is a question of Forum ethics more than anything else. I suppose that I can see a logic where a Business owner, might want a membership name just for his business, which might contaminate his ability to post in general threads on a forum, thus, having another username for that purpose, although I still dont think its right. However, if he them uses that other user name to promote his business, then it would invalidate the necessity to have an independent username in addition to the business account if that makes sense ?

I dont know who exposed him on Secrets, so was he also "grassed" up on Addicts, because my memory suggests that a similar thing occurred over there ?? I guess they are both just a "coincidence" and not be taken into consideration ?? If he was "grassed" does that mean that Dave was using 2 forum names then and that PB Larry deleted his account for that reason ?? I am sure that IP addresses must have come into the equation.

I would have thought it mandatory on any forum that one person should have one forum name only, whether it be a business owning member or not. If this is detected on the forum that I moderate, then that user is given two choices -either to decide which forum name he wants to keep and the other deleted, or not to be a member. I really dont see the point of dual memberships on a discussion forum, unless perhaps in this case, where it is "possibly" being used for advertising purposes, but non the less, I don't agree with it. I am sure there are quite a few members with multiple nicks on these forums, that have gone undetected, but in my experience,they tend to be those who have been banned or suspended, returning to those forums, rather than individuals signing up with 2 names for other reasons.

I am not sure where the jealousy factor comes in Dave ?? I was one of those who queried the thread string of posts and I am certainly not jealous of your business or any other business in Pattaya for that matter. Neither do I have any axe to grind with the CT, as neither you or your establishment has caused me any harm. You surely must admit, that having been accused of this before and the string of posts here with logan replying to himself as if he were you, might get some attention from a few different members. To me, it looked very much as if you and Logan were one of the same posters, and if you look back within this thread, surely, you will be able to see why, some might draw that conclusion. Quite honestly, there would be no definite proof, only your word, or someone named Bob who is apparently Logan or could say that he was Logan. If indeed your "friend" wants to help your business, and there is nothing wrong with that as you say, then I if I were you, I would talk to him abiut the way he goes about it, as it could do you more harm than good for the future. I did not post my observations out of being chums with anyone else, i posted them independently after i had noticed an "oddity" in the string of posts as others clearly have. I also belive that if you had been reading the topic as an independent member, you may also have noticed what others observed too. Out of interest though, does your best mate Logan share the same hostilities that you have displayed toward certain other businesses in pattaya ??? You must be very close friends.

I dont know whether Dave is any of those things, nor have I implied such. So Logan was not in town, yet only yesterday he said that Dave would direct you to him. I guess that is a little strange, but these things happen, I guess. Using a doupler to advertise a business does not make him mean-spirited or viciously jealous, it just means that he is artificially bumping his business on an internet forum. If these guys are in fact two separate people then I should have thought that it could be verified quite easily, but you must agree when surely, when going through this thread, that it does look a little fishy. If it were just one person who noticed it, then perhaps it could be seen as a coincidence, but several have also noticed the pattern, and the reply post "slip up" None of this makes a great deal of difference to his business, as negative advertising has impact, just as positive advertising and his place has not been slated off here as far as I know. I think the main point being made, is should a member have 2 different accounts, and in this case, with the sole purpose of promoting their business ??? Whist "Logan" could be an independent, he has not done Dave any favours, although maybe not intentionally. I immediately noticed an "oddity" in the string of posts yesterday, and it turns out that others did too, so perhaps it could be that there is no smoke without fire.

I would certainly think that it is too good to be true TBH. I have never seen a place as cheap as that in all my years in Thailand. If the poud was still at 70, that would be about £1.20 per night. At that rate they would probably loose money. I would double check this place, make be ask a local here, to go check it out, because that just sounds too good to be true mate. The Sewasdees are cheap, but most of them are also shit holes too. There could be a misprint in their information or the info they have dispatched to Late rooms.com

Loads of places do black pudding. I always asked for extra mushrooms instead of the BP, as I find it disgusting. Obvioulsy many must like it though. Juice Restaurant do it in Soi Lenkee as part of a breakfast, and so do 18 coins, but nearly all Western style restaurants seem to have it on the menu as part of a breakfast. Crazy Dave fries every thing in tractor oil, I would give that place a miss

They certainly hit the spot mate. but I always wonder whether they put cheap spirits in them ??? Cocktails became popular, being born out of Prohibition in the USA, to disguise the Bootleg liquor. They sure taste good though, and after 6 of them, I feel fine, they have fruit in some of them too, so a Vit C supply. The "gash" in there is not in abundance, nor quality, but a good place to start out with a couple of mates, and the food is pretty good too.

I think the Sailor bar (Beach Rod end of Soi 8) is pretty good for cheap drinks (especially their cocktails) Not a bad atmosphere either, although I would not want to stay there all night, but a good warm up point for the evening. I often go there about 7 ish and wolf down half a dozen large cocktails @60 baht a throw, before heading on to to more serious drinking elsewhere. There beer is well priced too.

Apparently, all of the Immigration officers at BKK airport went through training a couple of years back and new recruits receive training to provide a good attitude and service to foreign visitors as they get their passports stamped on entry and exit to the Kingdom. Has anyone noticed an improvements ??? I have seen little. Most of them are miserable looking bastards, and hardly even make eye contact. I don't expect them to be over friendly, but they could at least say " enjoy your stay in Thailand" after they stamp your entry. The minute we get off the plane we see images of "Land of Smiles" yet it is not until we clear customs that the smiles appear, and then it is because they are trying to get you in a Limo, or taxi to your destination Its not until you get to Pattaya that you see more false smiles as some new meat in town either Is Thailand really the land of smiles or is it something TAT dreamed up as a promotion ??

I think of it like this. At least you can see the vendors cooking your food, although what you do not know, is how long the ingredients have been hanging around. When we go into a restaurant, it may look clean on the outside, but we rarely enter the kitchen where the food is prepared and cooked - again, we have no idea of the history of the ingredients or the cooking process or cleanliness of that kitchen. So I would say that the risks are more or less the same. Often, it is not always easy to pin down, where that stomach upset comes from.

With a Condo in a large block, there is very little that you can do to the individual structure, apart from modernising the fittings, redecoration and furnishings etc. If it is run down inside, then I cant see the possibility of making a huge profit just by modernising the interior unless it in a good part of town and the strycture itself is in good repair and looks good from the outside. Refitting, does not cost a great deal for a small unit. It is more about finding a quick sale for someone who needs to sell, and sell quickly, rather than wait for the price he would like to be asking. Sometimes, and outrageously low offer at the time, might be dismissed, but a month later, with no potential buyers on the scene, it will become more attractive if someone needs the cash quickly and is prepared to cut their losses.
