  1. Tims, if you are not afraid of cockcroaches... No reason to be as they do no harm to anyone...I think
  2. ???? Maybe try replying to the point I was making?
  3. A very friendly and helpful guy! The Vault is a bit of a luxury place to stay but would be great if you wanted to organise a couple of parties with your mates and invite some bar girls.
  4. The Germans played a clean, crisp and yes, typically German ruthlessly efficient game. No overindulgence The gulf in pace between them and the older established English stars was striking.
  5. Try printing out the blurb from the opening post and showing it to some Thai who is offended because you have taken his or her photo. Remember TIT and the law of the street rules and they will do at the time what seems right to them rather than listen to some made up pseudo legal argument.
  6. The nutritionists say that you should Breakfast like a king Lunch like a prince and have dinner like a pauper. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
  7. He looks a bit like Noah Levenstein (Eugene Levy)
  8. You are being hard on him, but that referee may just have played an important role in delaying the world cup from turning into the world series by a few precious years....

Very good Gabs mate. Made me laugh
  10. The owner of this bar, an ex-marine, was one of the nicest guys running a Pattaya bar that I've met so far. Seemed to be liked and respected by his staff as well.
  11. The New York Post reported the result against England as "USA wins 1-1". An echo of the 'We must win at all costs' mentality from down the decades?. .
  12. Seems like the Yanks still haven't learnt the rules of 'soccer'. Rule no. 1: The referee's decision is final....and no correspondence will be entered into.
  13. The number plate actually says GO 60 BAR. I can't see Saga group coughing up for this one.
  14. Good to hear that the service is now more dream instead of pipe dream.
  15. Phew, at least we were spared the sight!...
  16. The string of smash hits by Akon and Timberland, over the past few years, will always be synonymous for me with my regular nightly trawlings for freelancers in the Marine/Lucifer/Mixx hip hop and RnB clubs. "I see you windin’ and grindin’ up on the floor... I know you see me looking' at you and you already know I want to you, you, you already know I want to you, you, you already knowww.... The girls seemed to luv that song as well!
  17. That's what they said about the big Mexican drums, the Brazilian trumpeters and even the good ole football rattle...but we learnt to live with them.
  18. It's just that from reading your posts I'm beginning to get the impression that, in the LOS at least, that all Russians are gangsters, most Thai people have pitiful existences, all West Africans are involved in dodgy behaviour and all Arabs are antagonistic. Try looking at the world from a different angle rather than from just down the end of your nose for a change.
  19. You seemed to imply in your latest trip reports that one of the members of these gangs might already here...operating from his base from outside of Lucifers Diskotek of all places. Not all of us are as lucky as you are to share the same intelligence as BigD, thank god. Please read that in both of the ways that it is intended...
  20. How much of the (much cheaper) beer from your home country can you bring with you in your checked-in luggage before you are liable to a fine.
  21. Americans.. eat with their hands...play with their hands. So soccer will remain a world game.
  22. Let's compare like with like... Price for a can of Carlsberg (330ml) in a Pattaya supermarket is approximately 30 baht or 45 baht for 500 ml (approx. to 1 pint). At current exchange rates of 47 baht to the £ then this makes a pint of Carlsberg in Pattaya to be approximately £1. I have never paid more than £1 for a 500ml can of any brand of beer in London. Beer in Pattaya is over priced: FACT (if you re-ran the prices using Singha, which is only locally imported and therefore cheaper, at a price of 25 baht for 330ml or 37 baht for 500 ml then this still makes a pint of Sin
  23. ...if he could hold it.
  24. Ata boy ...you've managed to work out the answer all by yourself. Premium economy means a big premium in price for only a tiny increase in leg space. People who buy premium economy are saying to the airlines - I am prepared for you to mug me for as much money as I've got.
