Hi,Do you have any more info about that ? A link on expats club site ? Thai banks have a very good reputation : reliable and safe. . I never heard of a big problem before that. There is no way they "let the money go" if you don't give a card, a passbook to anyone. BTW, all banks will close accounts if not use during a long time. Everywhere and not only in Thailand. Happened to me in Europe. That does not mean that you lost this money : there is always a procedure to get it back.

Where is that exactly ? I can't remember one near Tony's gym. There is another good and big Thai buffet on South Rd (Pattaya tai), about 200m west of 3rd Rd, nearly opposite the Shell petrol station here : http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=12....mp;t=h&z=19 It's 99 baht/people all you want eat + 99 baht for the "fire" on the table + drinks.

I begin to understand why there are some many English guys in Pattaya... Reality of English clubs seems even worse than their reputation !
-
Not really, I don't think he was given the name Pele by his parents... I think Atlas2 was speaking about Best, not Pele... BTW it's the first time I heard of George Best... Ok, Wikipedia tell me he was a great player in Ireland, well known in UK and from football specialists, and that Pele mentioned him in his "Best 100" list... I voted Pele. Everybody heard of him

What kind of drinker are you in Pattaya?
Idefix replied to Al_Davis's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
What are you talking about ? I don't know where you go to drink in Pattaya but I do not drink alcohol and never get any problem/pressure from that. I drink soda, cola or orange juice and I am welcomed everywhere. -
Hi Frostfire, I know nearly nothing about FB ; How did you find her profile from villayouth's message ?
-
How do you see that ? For me it's just an effect of the "ghost" white makeup that many ladies use here.
-
So ? I understand this gogo already opened 2 nights and not even one small report about it ? - what about the gogo inside ? - about the ladies ? - about prices and BF ? - ... and when is the "for everybody" opening ?

Luckily not me directly, but a naive compatriot who found a nice condo and bought it using the "legal services" of a guy of our country found through an ads in a local paper. Ok he has is condo, his chanote and every thing seems ok. Good. The only thing is that he paid for this "legal service" something like 5% of the price of his 4 Mbaht condo ! 200.000 baht only to verify that everything is ok with the chanote and take him at the Land Office during 2-3 hours... This "shark" just presented him this operation as easier, faster and a lot cheaper than in France when you often have to pay about

Tesco & Big C regularly make promotions with beds or wardrobes at 2-3 kbaht. What quality do you expect at this price ? You need at least 3 times this price (++) for a correct bed in massive wood...
-
The best ? Why ?? Your friend ? Yourself ? Better to use a Thai lawyer to buy in Thailand. Worst sharks in Pattaya are some falangs making their business there...
-
Good advice If you know nothing about estate sell/buy and nothing about it in Thailand, a lawyer is the best way to avoid any future bad surprise. Most of them ask about 10,000 baht for that. Try to reduce his price arguing of the very low price of this condo. (220.000 ??). Try and ask to several, they are many and everywhere in Pattaya. Another good advice

I would not buy a bed or any furniture in these places. All what I saw is very cheap, but very poor quality too... I bought my bed a "Kamyon", about 1 km south of Pattaya Underwater World. Big exposition of beds, sofas, bathroom. Good quality can be found there.

The Best Sushi All U Can eat Place in Pattaya?
Idefix replied to sponio's topic in Restaurants and food
I guess so, only place I recall seeing a conveyor belt bringing food. Not the only one. You have by example another Shabushi restaurant in Lotus south Pattaya on Sukhumvit It's similar to the one in Central Festival, but less people, less rush. -
No, no. I read all your writing I agree that it's very different for a "commercial" usage of a picture, and I think everywhere in the world. But "recognizable" is far to be enough in many countries... I do take the example of my country : France (Please don't talk about football ) There are very frequent trials from "celebrities" who got their picture on cover page of some very populars "scandal press". In most of cases they lost in court because French law authorize the commercial use - without authorization and compensation - in the case of photos taken during a public event and

Why are you talking about US laws ? Nearly nobody here care about these US laws ! Most people are not American... and we are not in America... So lets come back to what Evil Penevil posted in is 1st post and who is supposed to be the law in Thailand. My understanding of this post is that if I see you kissing a ladyboy in a open beer bar and that I post the picture on the Internet, there is nothing you can do against that.

From what I read before, you will not get a new "5 years license" if you don't have a non-immigrant visa. You probably only will get again a "temporary 1 year license"...
-
I hope you are right, but I remember on a other forum someone who only get again a "1 year temporary" license because he was to late to renew his "5 years" license... Normally you should wait that your "1 year" expires to get a "5 years", but you must renew your "5 years" the month before it expires...

Google Chrome on www.pattayatalk.com
Idefix replied to Severn's topic in Technical problems or questions.
Same for me. Use it 1/2 the time and never got problem. Chrome update is automatic too. Can you give us an example of page that cause you problem on this forum ? -
Looks quite good to me, and I'm not English. In other words, I'd eat it. If you're asking if anyone but English could finish it, that's another story altogether. I doubt I could. Hi MM, I did not say it's not good, but for me it's look more like a lunch than a breakfast ! I do know many people in the world make their breakfast with : coffee or chocolate or milk or tea and/or bread/toast/croissants +butter+jam and/or cereals/milk/eggs and/or fruits ... I just wander who (except English) eat this kind of breakfast with beans & sausages as a breakfast ??
-
Hi, I am just curious, but who else than English people can eat "that" as a breakfast ?
-
He said they count him at 8 baht/Unit Even at company price it would be an over 4,000 baht bill which is still a lot, but that means the OP really use a lot of electricity, probably air con very long time or at too low temperature. 8 baht is very current in location places, I do not see any "rip off" in that.

Hi, I don't know her name, but don't make her drink too much ! I saw her a few hours after this picture, fully drunk, and running in the Gogo with a knife trying to kill another lady ! Thanks for the manager to have replace our fallen beers, but no way I ever barfine her... can't imagine what she could do in my room

Hi, But nothing about Thai 5 year driving license renewal... Yes you are right : You do need a Non-Immigrant visa to get a 5 year Thai license. You will only get temporary 1 year license if you have tourist visa or visa exemption. I suppose the paperwork must be the same as when you first get your 5 year license, but I think you will have this time to make tests on computer; International Permit is useful to avoid them only the fist time...
