Tramadol is partially controlled in Thailand as a Pharmacy are only allowed to prescribe 2 x 10 Tramadol at a time and you have to sign a register. If anyone wants to do a "walk-in", my advice would be to find the name and address of a potential hotel and put that on the Immigration form. Who is to say that the address requested is a firm booking rather than an aspiration? some farang got 2000 baht fine for not staying at the address where they claimed to be staying

There is no problem walking in and booking an hotel. Your problem is that you are required to fill in address in Thailand on immigration form so you need to pre book 1st night at least. There is a lot of 'cheap' rooms/ hotels but many give good rates if you stay for 1 month etc. also what area do you want to stay in? expect to pay 700 bahts per nice in nice room or less than 10000 per month. again depending what area you want

There is a new children's English school in Harbor central road pattaya which would be ideal I think it is on the 6th floor They also bring their students on trips to London etc...

Martin there is a guy who does laser removal in Pattaya Klang on left side before TOT and 3rd road. I got a large verruca wart removed a few years ago from my foot and it was inexpensive. He also does moles, etc and removes all by laser I imagine around 2000 bhats and little waiting time

Hi Indian Reviewer yes they do short term,even daily but the prices I quoted are monthly rent of 7000 plus water and electricity this price is constant and does not change with high and low season in pattaya in fact the price even drops for 6 month and 12 month rent this is 2 minutes from BIG C EXTRA on Central Pattaya Road or Pattaya Klang bhat buses go down the road towards beach road for 10 bhats and you can stop at entrance to soi buchaeo and get another bhat bus for 10 bhats or you can get a motorbike taxi to soi buchaeo for 40 bhats they have cctv, key card for door to rooms and night guards on duty so it is very secure and quiet plus they have satelllite channels, free internet etc for the location and the price and security it is excellent value it is also about 3 minutes from FOODLAND which is a 24hour supermarket and 24 hour restaurant

I went with a Farang friend to Pattaya City hospital. He is a diabetic and was running short of some of his medication. He was told 2 bhats per tablet but 500 bhats to see doctor. Incidently he was registered with Pattaya City Hospital and had their card. he got the tablets in Fascinos for 2 bhats and did not need to pay the 500 bhats to see a doctor in City Hospital. Gonzo you declare that Banglamung Hospital is sub standard in your opinion. The interesting thing is that the same specialists who work in private hospitals have by Thai law to donate 1 or 2 days per week to the public hospitals so you can pay big money to see them at a private hospital or little money in a public hospital like Banglamung. I paid about 6,000 or 7,000 bhats in International hospital to have a full body check. I have COPD and took the cd's they gave me home to the UK My UK specialist told me that whoever gave a diagnosis of my xrays etc did not know what they were doing. And in fact their report was rubbish. My feet and ankles got badly swollen up during Songran so I went to Gonzo's sub standard Banglamung hospital they took blood tests, urine sample, ECG etc and I saw 2 doctors before and after my 45 minute wait for the results they gave me duiretic tablets to reduce the swellling and I paid 1400 bhats for everything They also booked me in for ultrasound which I got from each thigh to ankle The doctor in Gonzo's sub standard hospital spent over 1 hour on a thorough ultrasound scan just to check for DVT etc 4000 bhats for ultra sound 50 bhats for doctor my swelling is gone I have been in many private hospitals like Banglamung and International and Memorial and the hospital that I prefer is Banglamung as I have never had any bad treatment and did not pay the outrageous prices that I paid in Bangkok Hospital I also feel that they actually care and dont wish to see if you actually have the money to pay for your treatment I visited Bangkok hospital in Bangkok to see the lung specialist at a mere 17,000 bhats I wanted valves in my lungs... they said we can do for 1 million bhats I said for both lungs? no for each lung I will be getting these same valves inserted free in London this year while in Pattaya I will continue to visit Banglamung Hospital as they really care about you I will certainly not visit City hospital and pay 500 bhats to see a doctor to get 2 bhat tablets

Soi Yume beside Big C extra has a lot of serviced apartments for under 10000 plus water and electricity at top of soi 13 in Soi Yume which is 3rd soi in from central road you will find central pattaya residence 7000 plus water and electricty has cctv, security, satelite TV, free high speed internet etc if you are interested I will get you their phone number and email
