  1. Bigmike... oh yea.. mea culpa, agree, would be better resize. ( anyway, as Sunny mentioned there is an option to scroll ) Sunny.. the location: Dave, personally I don't have oil massage for dessert, but some friends told me, that it's OK. Sometime welcomed if you say: " Chuck wau" MJkidd, and all... you introduce yourself and can say, that you know about the restaurant from me, from this forum. You will be a guest ( no, no.. I have no percentage, just the owner is a nice guy ) BTW, funny that the owner is not hungarian, he is a lebanese guy, who studied in a hungarian university and married with a hungarian girl. I think they are not professionals, that's why so "homemade" style the food. In their menu some food, which one you can't find even in the most restaurants in Hungary, just at the homes.
  2. In this year I found the first original hungarian restaurant in Pattaya. I'm not involved in any way and this is not a commercial, just my opinion. I have a principle, that in Pattaya I'm eat only thai food, but some friends seduced me to this place on soi Buakhaow. I can say, that their kitchen is great, they have a really "homemade" style menu. So.. if you want to try something new I can recommend this place. The owner, his wife and guests
  3. If neded I can give you tel numbers of homebuilder guys from Hungary, who living in Pattaya. They made me a complete renovation for 11.000 BHT Including painting, lock changing, water tube changing, air fan build in ( it was a very hard job) furniture moving.
  4. Personally I looked one year to find the right place to stay in Pattaya. My choice is a no way to stay in the city, as it is too noisy, small bad and bad beach. OK, my girlie activities just on the evening time. For a long and deep search I found the Viewtalay 2 condo the best place. ( No way Viewtalay 1 ) In this year I bought my second condo in the building A. and I can say falled in love with my new condo. I planned to sell my first condo, but rethought and hold it for renting out and to my friends to stay. If you are interested visit this place: http://www.viewtalay2.try.hu/ This is a basic condo with kitchenette, refrigerator, 60 channel cable TV etc. but only 12.000bht/month.
  5. Huge selection of real estate agencies on http://www.pattaya.lap.hu I personally used One Stop agency and found fair and correct. I can recommend it.
  6. From the BBC Sang Thip & Mekhong Whiskey Mass produced Thai whiskey, illegal in virtually every other country in the world. Very few things can be compared to a serious binge on Sang Thip. Impossible to drink with anything but Coke, when it is purchased in a bar in Thailand you buy it by the quarter bottle. Needless to say that it is rumoured to contain halucinogenic chemicals. Certainly once intoxicated, the drinker can reasonably expect a long period of black out that is directly proportional to the amount of quarter bottles consumed. The drinker can also reasonably expect to be told of his or her extrodinary exploits during these periods of blackouts by other, less inebriated individuals. The recounting of such shameful tales is normally concurrent with much laughter, and/or a Thai tourist police incident form, if not a nights free accomodation at the Thai police's convienience. Reported incidents include: running around outside a hotel four stories up on a two foot wide ledge, sudden and inexplicable bar fights with Thai Lady-boys (renowned for their muy-thai or kickboxing abilities) and awakening from black out on board a premature flight home. Sang Thip is, needless to say the bane of most hard working Thai hotelier's lives and ironically the main staple of Bar owners' revenues. Mekhong (named after the river that flows through Cambodia and Vietnam) is another brand of Thai whiskey with almost exactly the same properties as Sang Thip. It has one notable difference, however. If you upend a bottle of Mekhong in a glass of water in such a way that the pressure of the water does not allow the wiskey to escape the bottle, a clear liquid will be seen to dribble into the water. This is Glycerine, which artificially boosts the alcohol content and if consumed in large quantities can cause blindness. Happy drinking... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A50059
  7. Sharing a smoker car from BKK airport to Pattaya ?
  8. Thais calling all kind of spirits whiskey, even my french brandy was whiskey for them. When I explained is the difference they don't understood. Sang Som definetly NOT whiskey, as whiskey from grain. Maybe Rum, because rum made from sugar cane. More possible it is a mix of rum and distillated alcohol from rice. In europe many drink called vodka uses distilled alcohol from potato skin or even from petroleum. ( genuine vodka from wheat )

  15. Pattaya - för dig som vill ha det bästa!
  16. Rex, I consider a good price about 1.4-1.5M BHT for the unit I'm looking for. Buying in unseen condition is risky, but I knew the building before, watched all floors, all views, shortly everything. Then I had to return home with a valid offer, but this offer seemed unrealistic overpriced. Later I visited on the internet some agencies and got a way better offer. So I could buy this one because already knew the building and many other important elements and it was decided, that what kind of condo and where I want to buy, what I need exactly. For example kitchenette is important for me. Hehe, I like when GF cooking me home exotic thai food I got a dozen pics and could decide about the room quality. I have eye for the details
  17. I want to buy a high floor, Jomtien side studio in the Viewtalay 2, building A. ( or maybe a corner unit ) At the real estate homepages crazy prices and thin selection. Anyone a good idea??
  18. Pattaya lap HU Google: in the top ten
  19. I would choose the new Viewtalay 2 buildings. They are more comfortable as they are newer and closer to the beach. Be aware, that building B. is a short walk from the main gate. Building A is right at the gate, but in february there were heavy constructions with their noise and dirt. Then was impossible to live there, but I don't know how developed the situation still now. I like very much the building, the best choice for me. Nice pool, a good restaurant ( for thai snacks ) laundry, foodmart.
  20. As the airtrafficers have hard time they installed some new form of taxes here in Hungary as: airport TAX ( 60 USD ), cerosine TAX (40-50 USD ), ticket opening TAX ( 20-60 USD) over the airfare. I wondered how about this in other countries. How about it in your country? What taxes and how huch you must pay? Thanx in advance.
  21. Try again. It's working.
