5 complaints in a short topic a lot for me...even from expats. Maybe you are an important regular, so why your sucess... However, for me the only one happens with me is too much. It is not a gambling game, it must be a service.

I was order a taxi for my friends in july and Mr. Toom just forgot about it. ( maybe because it was too early ? ) Upon my contribution here, he wrote me a solly... In my answer I asked him to call them ( thai number ) , as they wanted to rent a taxi for a whole day trip to BKK.... No any calls despite the promise. It is not only me on an other board many similar experiences.

My friends arrived today to BKK. I ordered a car from Mr Toom a month ago, checked and comfirmed 2 days ago. I was informed, that he don't showed up on the airport, non of his two given telephon number was worked My friends are first timers, so they were in shock in a very new environment without any help. They called me and in a long international phone call I navigated them until they found a taxi. ( 2 AM my time woken up )

Quality life is different for every one. In Hungary I live in my 3 floor house, roaming as a ghost, in Pattaya I live in my condo ( 42 sqm studio ) and I feel much more living a " quality life ". I hate the elegant restaurants, even at home like to eat on the market and squirming in the fine places to wait a half our for my meal and using properly the forks and knifes. ( of course I can, as sometimes must "enjoy" the finest restaurants in the city, because of the work or family ) I hate dressed "properly " and even more I was working out, that on my workplace no one says me a word, when I'm appear in a Pattaya bar T-Shirt, shorts and slipper. ( working for the national broadcasting company as an on-air promotion consultant ) Hahh... Pattaya is a great place Golf... for me it is like for the americans the soccer. To be active... I like to active do nothing.. have a good book and lie in the shadow of the palms on the beach is more, than enough. I travelled already more, than the half of the world, why to discover every corner of Thailand ? I had the must to see programme. I "enjoyed" many-many high class parties, met world famous persons, why do I wish to meet more sophisticated folks, than some bargirls, Pattaya mongers and my friends in Pattaya whom we have a common theme ? Why own a car or even a motorbike, when the bahtbuses are available and if needed you can rent a car with a driver ? And so on.. the list is loooong. The pricey part of the life is the nightlife... if you have a live in it can be a little bit... a little bit cheaper, but boring. However there are sometimes good to have a live in. A note. I don't living in Pattaya, but every year spending there 3 months, which is the 1/4 part of my life.

Wow... welcome in Budapest... :-) be aware, that will be very hot and the half city is under reconstruction.. the traffic is dead. There are no general rules. Personally I would rent on Jomtien - as I did from my very first trip - because of the more relaxed and less polluton area. Anyway on the bahtbus 10 minutes ride to the WS. I recommend to renting out a condo if you like the " condo feeling ", sometimes - if the budget is important - some hotels may be cheaper. Consider, that in the rented condo no daily cleaning service, you are on your own. ( the laundry is extremly cheap ) However you can order a cleaning service for 100-200 baht. I like the " condo feeling" because of the " freedom feeling " and I feel myself at home, not as a guest. But this again not for everyone. Look the social places before to rent out, how attended, it says a lot about the facility. ( for example the swimming pool ) The security usually symbolic, but they are looking after the thais. In VT2 when I presented a set of speakers to a girl, she asked me to verify at the security. In VT2 b. are cameras on all corridors. Avoid the property offices, as they working with extra profit. On the corridor of the VT buildings are dozens of private offers. Before renting out clarify the electricity and water costs as this is a fishy area, many renters are tricking on it. ( must be around 200 baht the water 400-1800 the electricity / month for a unit ) I myself renting out a condo http://www.viewtalay2.try.hu/ My system is: No deposit in advance, pay upon arrival the price + 2000 baht refundable deposit. There are big-big differents between the condos. In some condos you pay for a month for the maintenance what I pay for a year. I can prefer about the View Talay 2. Annual maintenance fee is 3600 bht Annual sophon cable TV is 3000 bht That's it.... Water usually less, than 3-400 bht / mont Electricity depends from the usage of the air con: 400-2000 bht / month Cleaning service 150-200 bht Laundry: 5-20 bht / item ( bedding 20-100 bht / item )

I pay nothing over the charges on the beach and the girl who regulary massage me for 3 years already running to me when she see me and warmly welcome me. On my last day she gives me always some nice present. In the salons I tip 20 baht ( 10 % ) and warmly welcomed every time. Leemo, you mentioned, that you using RegMech 4.0, SysMechanic 6. I did it too until the SysMechanic cleaned my PC so successful, that I had to format the winchester. So try to recall the quarantined files and replace. Maybe or maybe not your problems are in this area.

The best swimmingpool I saw in hotels/condos is in the TV2, despite it isn't a rectangle and daytime some splash can disturb. In the early time and the after sunset it is empty and great to swim.
