  1. Is Airport Parking now the biggest rip off ever? Heathrow Short term parking is now £7 for one hour. At Stanstead you even have to pay to drop people off ! Its disgracefull.
  2. To me the whole idea of stopping soldiers, marines or sailors from getting their leg over when in Pattaya is a joke. They just prebook rooms via the internet (which I'm sure they must have on those ships), book a couple of girls via any one of half a dozen dating and hook up sites and its all done and dusted. I mean stopping sailors who have been at sea with no female company for ages from having a shag? seems pretty ridiculous to me. Stopping them would also encourage more use of 'The Barrel'
  3. Try the original UK series of 'House of Cards' And for a good read? 'Chesapeake'
  4. Is it possible to get Tylex or Naproxen over the counter in Thailand?. I always bring mine with me but it would be nice to know I could get it there. I know I couldnt get Zopiclone in Bangkok Chemists with out a prescription.
  5. Indeed so. I always dodged Cobra Gold after that but even going maybe 2 weeks after it there were less girls as they ripped so much cash off the military they were able to take a Holiday. You know that Officers werent stuck with the Midnight curfew? At the Dianna Inn one time I tried to book their best rooms but were told that they had US Officers there. I think that was the time that there was a huge carrier there and around 7 or 8 other ships.
  6. Im not the only one who says there were shitloads of Military and also how the bars and girls were ramping up their prices. Take a look here http://www.sexwork.com/Thailand/navy.html Try this link below, 3rd para. In March 1991. 7000 TROOPS WENT ASHORE AT PATTAYA THAT DAY. Of course 7000 horny military arent going to raise the girls prices? BOLLOCKS !!! https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=5zt9CAAAQBAJ&pg=PA72&lpg=PA72&dq=US+Military+in+Pattaya+1980%27s&source=bl&ots=znG_wfzE_D&sig=u9p8fOullnqWbh16aiehRq62CEc&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiM_O2GwYHXAhWCyxo
  7. Maybe they are tamer now but back in the 80's everyone I knew ran for miles when those ships came in. Ships were moored just off Ko Lan with several small boats ferrying people backwards and forwards. Girl prices went sky high and as for well behaved? I can clearly remember the bar opposite the Marine bar being full of black guys sprawled everywhere with rubbish music being blasted out so loud it was ridiculous and that was early afternoon. Feet up on the bar and tables, treating the girls like shit. All the Officers went straight to Bangkok. Maybe they have tamed them down a bit now but
  8. Another little trick I saw yesterday, not directly related to Skyscanner but I did report it to them. Booking a flight for my wife. Checked prices and decided to book via Traveltrolley. 3 times I tried to book on the clickable link from Skyscanner to TravelTrolley. 3 times the booking was stopped just before the end stating "Timed Out" and then redirected offsite to the TravelTrolley direct booking link. By doing that they are denying Skyscanner their commision and I reported them to Skyscanner for that little dodge. In the end I booked direct with Thai from their website. £546 not a ba
  9. Ive only been in Patts once during Cobra Gold times and I would never ever go there again during that period. Girl prices were ridiculous anywhere around walking street. Then again I will probably never ever go to Patts again
  10. Just a word of warning. Dont go to Pattaya next February. Its Cobra Gold time !!
  11. I'm afraid Mango has seriously lost the plot. My mantra now is, "if it is a Boeing I aint going" (with respect to the Dreamliner mainly.)
  12. I like Sangkron (!) in Bangkok but not in Pattaya. In Pattaya they never seem to stop. Its great during the day but then you go out at night smartly dressed then in a BB or GGB some giggling twat chucks water over you. Never had that after 8 or 9 in Bangkok
  13. Through the airline's loyalty scheme consumers will be able to earn reward points worth up to 10% of the purchase value when buying any Groupon offer . The scheme is attracting more people to sign up by partnering with popular consumer brands, and as a result offering members more ways to save on flights from London to long-haul destinations like New York, Seattle, Singapore and even Argentina. http://www.mirror.co.uk/travel/news/norwegian-offer-flight-discounts-groupon-11354205
  14. Oh indeed so. Many times you can look at Hotel rates and there will be a red line next to them. "Only 2 rooms left" when in truth the hotel is probably only half full.
  15. Fuck off you argumentative retard. stop trying to cover up your stupidity. READ WHAT I POSTED before you try and justify your utter stupidity. READ THE SQ PUBLICITY BLURBS. I never said anything about "taking them out of service to lower their average age." . You made that statement up in a desperate attempt to cover up your stupidity. Here's what I said in my OP. " I also note SQ are 'retiring' their 5 oldest A380's. I wonder who's going to buy them?. " THAT sir is common knowledge. Dont warp what I said to justify your stupidity.
  16. SQ dont realy like old aircraft. The leases on the first A380's they leased is coming to an end and there are replacements already on order for delivery. Its cheaper and better business practice to let older heavier planes go and replace them with contractual orders of brand new lighter and uprated planes.
  17. I think even if the demand for A380's dies a death, what it has done is proven Airbus'ses reliability in designing and building modern aircraft I hope Im still around to try the AS2 if I can ever afford it.
  18. Dropped a friend off at Heathrow earlier today for his flight to LOS I noticed he was on HS-TUB That plane's been around the block a few times since Thai got it in 2012. I wonder when its due for a refit? I also note SQ are 'retiring' their 5 oldest A380's. I wonder who's going to buy them?. Then again theyd make a nice Hotel sited somewhere in the countryside? Be great to have one and convert it to a house. Bit expensive though BA said they were always interested in some 2nd hand A380s as new one were too expensive..Maybe they can dump some of their useless 777's. Ive also just
  19. Its realy the Agents that vary the prices as the airlines issue their rates in blocks of usually 3 month periods. Some agents are pretty vicious in their pricing though
  20. There are several agents who get quoted by the big screenscraper companies who are notorious for advertising prices they have no intention of selling. Some will even take the booking and credit card details then 24 hours later tell you 'flight is not available' and then you have to wait between 5 and 14 days for a refund, some even have the gall to try and charge you an admin fee.. If this happens to you you should report them to the company listing them. If sufficient people did this those companies just wouldnt be quoted but alas most dont report them. In your case at least they didnt hit y
