Steve i have done this before and offer the following. A uk visa application is more complex if you pay for the flight as you have to prove your income is sufficient. A flight booked direct with british airways will require a credit card confirmation at Bangkok, but booked through an agent website will not. Think about finding a website yourself and telling her to book with her credit card. You can always reimburse her if you want. I need to be at the airport by about 8:30am on saturday 1st. I used to have the cards for a couple of people that run vehicles up there but can't find them at the moment I know that there are plenty of booths offering of 1000 or 1200 baht but would prefer not to pay commission to them. Spike, I didn't take a note of females name however i was accused of being late checking out although i was on time and the reception clock was wrong. When i asked if there would be any rooms available next week i was told the never be rooms available for me. I stayed there last night having been a customer on and off for many years. The refurbished rooms was ok but nothing special. New carpet and bedside lights was what I noticed. There was no sign of the previously pleasant hotel staff. Today the reception desk was manned by the most arrogant and unpleasant person ever witnessed in a Thai hotel.
