  1. only some airlines want verification if the card holder is not the passenger. Particularly Thai airways who always want the traveller to be the credit card holder, or for the credit card holder to have visited a Thai air office with proof of identity to obtain a disclaimer. Plus BA if booked directly through them. Not sure about EVA so won't comment about them. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  2. Steve i have done this before and offer the following. A uk visa application is more complex if you pay for the flight as you have to prove your income is sufficient. A flight booked direct with british airways will require a credit card confirmation at Bangkok, but booked through an agent website will not. Think about finding a website yourself and telling her to book with her credit card. You can always reimburse her if you want. PM me if you want more information. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  3. I use a 3g dongle on 12call 3g Pay as you go bundle which works quite well on my netbook using a usb port. I am interested to know how I could benefit from having a WiFi dongle instead. Where do you buy them and how much do they cost? posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  4. For someone already in Pattaya it makes no sense to e-mail. Go to Soi Diana and about 50 metres before the LK Metro entrance you will see his sign on the left side of the street, if you are heading away from 2nd road (towards Buoakow) Turn left, 10 metres, go in and arrange the ride. I understood the responses to my original query Mr Grand. and your suggestion was pretty clear already. The extra information provide by tequilareef was welcome and may be of use to others, therefore I cordially suggest your additional post was superfluous and could be construed as

  7. I need to be at the airport by about 8:30am on saturday 1st. I used to have the cards for a couple of people that run vehicles up there but can't find them at the moment I know that there are plenty of booths offering of 1000 or 1200 baht but would prefer not to pay commission to them. Any recommendation with phone numbers would be appreciated. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  8. You limit yourself then. That is 4 good Carriers and competitive fare offerers you take off your options. BA went off my 'options' some years ago for poor service, too many delay issues and an awful transfer at LHR. I may try them again now that it is T5-T5. although being limited duty free wise. BA delays are good news. A four hour delay results in a refund of more than the full economy return cost. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  9. Do you have the room number Severn?. I have a friend shortly due to stay there and both safe (him) and douche ( his mia noi) were important facilities. I suggest that your friend send an e-mail to the hotel directly requesting confirmation of his required facilities. With this to hand he may have more success with reception than I. Can I assume that your friend will be too preoccupied so as to not need the provision of internet. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.

  11. No bum gun or safe in room yesterday. New carpet and new bed side lamps. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  12. Spike, I didn't take a note of females name however i was accused of being late checking out although i was on time and the reception clock was wrong. When i asked if there would be any rooms available next week i was told the never be rooms available for me. Not a pleasant experience nor a demonstration of customer relations. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  13. I stayed there last night having been a customer on and off for many years. The refurbished rooms was ok but nothing special. New carpet and bedside lights was what I noticed. There was no sign of the previously pleasant hotel staff. Today the reception desk was manned by the most arrogant and unpleasant person ever witnessed in a Thai hotel. No noise but never again. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  14. I think you may have you towns mixed up. Perhaps you meant hemel hempstead, maybe even swindon but not milton keynes. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  15. Almost all of the locals and some expats are complaining of the cold. Top coats are evident and the hello girls outside agogos are shivering. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.

  20. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2. I have to say that I think that this is confused and confusing advice. I am unsure what baggage the average person has but for me its a 20 kg suitcase, a 7 kg carry on and a laptop, The point about Bells is that it gets you to and picks you up at the front door of you accommodation. Why would you suggest that someone go from Swampy to Jomtien when they are staying in say Naklua or even Soi Buakhao? It would be a nightmare getting to any place other than an address actually in Jomptien or on the Jomptien - Pattaya highway or Second Road. You would
  21. In which case, if your destinations is Walking Street and you don't want to use the provided van to your hotel, I suggest you may be better served by taking the hourly service to Jomtien at 134 baht followed by a 10 baht Songthaw ride to the bottom of second road. Both bus services are operate by the same company with adjacent counters at BKK airport. I am simply trying to save you time and money. [ quote data-cid=1052871' name='teelack' timestamp='1385925917' post='1052871] The question was about Bell, not Airport Link. I have used the bus station in North Pattaya Road for
  22. The Airport Link bus station is in Jomtien on the road to Pattaya. If you use the service to Pattaya North it is more expensive but includes a van to your hotel. Why would you need a baht bus on that journey? posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  23. You overpaid and will bring the wrath of certain members here. Jomtien to Walking Street is a 10 baht fare in a baht bus. :-) posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  24. An update today (Sun 1st Dec). Arrived at the Jomtien bus desk in BKK at 10:30 hoping to get the 11:00 am bus but it was already full. Only 3 seats left for the 12:00 bus. Passengers mainly falang. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
  25. It is not possible to "learn" me. Perhaps you could teach me then I will learn. I hope that your Thai grammar is better than your English grammar. posted from my Samsung using Tapatalk 2.
