  1. You might have to investigate Twitter (or X as it is now known) as there are a number of online swing groups, but you will need the wife to translate.
  2. I used an agent for my ret. visa (Maneerat) and they can do this service FOC. I guess it depends on how you got the visa.
  3. I've found this extension will get you past most newspaper paywalls: https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean Prices are pretty grim for flights though, and then you have to factor in the cost of any nightly entertainment which also seems to have rocketed in WS and in LKM.
  4. http://www.soidb.com/en/pattaya/stay/apartment/index.html http://pattaya.thaiapartments.net/index.ph...rent=5000-15000
  5. £4500 p.m for the dubious privilege of living in a third-world toilet like Pattaya? Raimon Land obviously know something we don't...............
  6. Sometimes the MICT blocks access to these sites, but I agree with SC as they often put in a lot of unwanted junk when you install them.
  7. A friend has Hutch in his Wong Amat condo and averages about 1.5Mb/s, though with a download accelerator it's about 2Mb/s. Best to inquire at the Hutch shop (next to Tukcom) and if necessary they will send an engineer out to your place to check the speed. Another friend lives very close to the Floating Market and also averages the same speeds with the same package.
  8. Those Edge packages are very slow - Hutch would be much faster at about 1.5Mb/s. http://www.hutch.co.th/mbi/prepay/index_en.htm#pack01
  9. Must have been cold as my bike needed the choke to start and tickover.
  10. I haven't seen a rat for ages along there - but then again there are a lot more food vendors than usual.
  11. Should have called him 'Cigarette' in that case. There's a 3 legged dog at Friendship supermarket so we named him 'Tripod'.
  12. Not a patch on either the Maldives or the Caribbean.
  13. http://www.filestube.com/ http://katz.cd/ A couple more, but I do find RS is falling slowly out of favour these days though still better for the older stuff.
  14. I haven't tried it, but MSE2 is supposed to be faster than the original. http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Securit...4-10969260.html
  15. Sophon cable broadband is another option you might want to look at: http://www.sophonbb.net/net/pad2.php I use use True's 6mb/s service and are quite happy with it, so far.
  16. http://www.dr-olivier-clinic.com/ Not cheap though.
  17. Actually, there is a thread on another forum where an obvious investor is extolling the virtues of the place once it re-opens. Nice to see we take a more realistic and contrarian view over here at PT!
  18. I guess it's possible Aeon have now started charging the fee - it has been a while since I last visited one of their ATMs.
  19. The 150B charge can be avoided by taking the card + passport into the bank itself, either that or find an Aeon ATM.
  20. A friend of mine lives near that floating market place and has Hutch wireless for his laptop. About 1.5Mbs on average.
  21. I went for True's InterSim card in the end. 365 day validity plus I can phone UK for B1 a minute. It'll do me.
  22. Spread some Colgate round yer arsehole. Gives you that ring of confidence.
  23. The pharmacy just to the left of The Avenue complex has a fairly decent selection. No idea on pricing, but it does seem a popular place to buy a bit of chemical enhancement.
  24. They reckon a sun-bed goes a long way with helping SAD. Not quite the same though!
  25. I did try MSE for a while but switched on account of it slowing everything down. Avast was much better in this respect, but since 'acquiring' a serial for NOD32 I've not looked back!
