  1. No they're not. Where about?
  2. I suppose the Thais would think the same in UK. Folk throw away car tyres when they could be made into flip-flops and decent planters for the garden.
  3. Largely offset by new orders i.e. cancelling A350 orders and replacing them with A350 XWB orders. Boeing is likely to see over 100 cancellations for the 787 with no compensating orders.
  4. I have a friend who ............. LOL. Careful! Otherwise, we'll remind you of some of your dafter quotes.
  5. I think it's reasonable to assume that there will be well in excess of 100 cancellations this year alone.
  6. Full of Brummies, is it?
  7. Their is one guy in the whole wide world who claims ............... jeez, even you can normally do better than that.
  8. The obvious problem occurs when a BM has now idea which post has earned him a warning in the first place. How are you meant to curtail repeat behaviour when you don't know what has offended the Mods in the first place.
  9. That's because you're paranoid. Nothing to do with the aeroplanes themselves.
  10. Yes, those high walls are just what your local burglar needs to avoid being noticed when he's doing his "survey".
  11. Jacko, The flat bed is good but a bit narrow and the personal TV is probably one of the best available. I'm not too keen on the herringbone layout as it feels quite claustrophobic, particularly on the A330. I think Qatar's flatbeds on its 777s are better. Have they not got a new terminal at Abu Dhabi? What dates are you flying?
  12. I meant that the SQ and QR products were very good, the aircraft is irrelevant.
  13. That's just plain silly ...... "If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going". I like Airbus products but the best economy class I've seen is on SQ's 777s and the best biz class, that I can afford, is on Qatar's 777s.
  14. Except, crucially for an aeroplane, actually getting it up in the air. This isn't very good news. Fresh delay for Boeing Dreamliner Boeing has announced that it will delay the maiden flight of its new Dreamliner 787 aircraft, the latest postponement to befall the project. The flight had been due to take place on 30 June, but the US company said it had now been delayed due to a need to reinforce a side section of the plane. Only last week, Boeing told the BBC that the Dreamliner would have its first flight "in a couple of weeks". Boeing said in April it would have to postpone its first deliveries. Boeing is due to give more details about the latest postponement at a news conference later. Before the latest announcement, the long-range, medium-sized Dreamliner was already 15 months behind schedule.
  15. There are already two threads running about the deal.
  16. Don't apologise, Jacko. You haven't misled anyone and the fares are still avaialble. You have to piss around with the dates and then with the flights on your chosen dates. The fares are available. The dates that I ran through (18-28 Nov had a long (overnight) stopover in SIN on the way back) but came out at 334 quid inclusive.
  17. Hardly a catch when the offer is called "2 for 1". I suppose they could have made it a buy one get one free.
  18. There's always One2Go, if you're still feeling brave.
  19. I would imagine it's not that much different from getting a bus in Nottingham then.
  20. You're confusing Airbus with Airfix. The NTSB's own pics quite clearly show the attachment points. http://www.ntsb.gov/events/2001/AA587/tailcomp.htm
  21. LOL. I've been there more than a few times myself ..........
  22. Their undiscounted rate is 3,300 Baht/night. With their special deal you get 3 nights for the price of 2. Or, you can just book their discounted daily rate of 2,500 Baht for the same room.
  23. They also found the tail fin of that Iranian Airbus that went down .......
