  1. It's 16.5k today plus tax and fuel surcharge.
  2. Depends when she wants to fly. Qatar, Etihad and Emirates have fares under 30k at least until the end of June. At the moment, it's more expensive for economy seats ex BKK, but cheaper for biz class seats. The other alternative is on Air Asia via KL to Stansted.
  3. And where the muslims roll out their prayer mats.
  4. Agreed. Even had an ex-Miss Thailand piloting the aircraft on a trip to Langkawi.
  5. Mantra at The Amari.
  6. Shit. I was going to suggest behind whatever goal Arsenal are defending. As for the aircraft, from what I recall, the area tends to get crowded with people queuing for the toilets and you get your scoff served last and have to make do with what's left. That said the little bit of extra width because of the shape of the aircraft should be welcome due to Emirates policy of sticking an extra seat in each row.
  7. Not if you're in Thailand.
  8. Have you seen some of Thai's cabin crew lately? The exact same birds who were charming us in the 80s.
  9. There's a branch of Wine Connection at The Avenue. http://www.wineconnection.co.th/index.php
  10. I'm extremely thankful for your replies. I have a couple of guys that I use in BKK who have their own green/yellow Thai Rung taxis but finding a decent private hire for a day/couple of days is sometimes a bit of a nightmare. I have two things in LOS that I'm manic about ...... my safety in hotels and when travelling. If I am ever in a traffic accident in LOS, the last thing that I want to worry about when I'm lying in hospital is whether my insurance is going to cover my costs, or not. As I said previously, the license/insurance side compared to some of your competitors is something that I think you should highlight. For me, it's something that's way more important than whether the driver will have a "couple of cold ones" for me.
  11. It's not a slam ....... it's actually a compliment on Pete's improved skills. Or are you suggesting the pics haven't been enhanced?
  12. I think it's Pete's Photoshop skills that have improved ..........
  13. 3-4-3 in economy on the 747.
  14. Loads of info has been posted before ....... http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...hlite=Evergreen
  15. 360 quid for 2 on BA after the first Gulf War.
  16. Given their financial results this morning, I think that may not be the case for very much longer.
  17. Installation normally means connecting the provider's line to the box outside your home (TT&T and TOT don't necessarilly share the same external line). 1k Baht (+7% tax) would get you TT&T's 5mb package. What speed you can actually achieve is an altogether different matter.
  18. There's nothing to stop you buying your tickets to commence the journey in UK rather than LOS. Since many airlines offer a change of return date free of charge (or minimum charge) it's not as if you have to be certain of the dates for your next trip - only that it will be within the validity of the ticket.
  19. Where is your office in BKK? Some pictures of the cars would be helpful ........ you've referred to them previously as 4 door sedans but a Camry and Corolla are both sedans so the description doesn't mean very much. Do you have prices from central BKK (lower Suk) to the airports?
  20. What language do you expect them to take your order in, if not Thai?
  21. Any progress on your website yet? Do you have an office in Pattaya? If not, how about some pics of your vehicles/girls etc.
  22. Andy, Not behind the times, mate. That's why I said "could", rather than "can". I used to play a bit of amateur footie in Germany and they'd have these "mini world-cups" at the end of the season with teams made up exclusively of Brits/Turks/Yugoslavians/Greeks/Irish/Italians etc. Sadly, afterwards we went our separate ways until the following year's tournamant. There has been at least one Brit-Thai cabinet minister/senator that I know of (and that was back in the 80s/90s) who would be in the running for the the top-ten of popular Thai politicians, so your yellow/red scenario may not be as far-fetched as first appears. Tom
  23. It's not surprising since they could only achieve the status of gastarbeiter.
  24. Makro is probably the best if you can find someone with a card. Other than that, Tesco normally has a couple of aisles of bulk buy products.
  25. That's a bit different from, "Thank you for your offer but I have it sold for the asking price". Denny p.s. You should change the title of the thread to "18-135 Nikon lense".
