  1. Jeez. Fistly, it's an ethnic (Malay) separatist inspired issue, not a religous one. Secondly, there have been no incidents related to the troubles within 1,000 km of Bangkok. That's a big, fat zero, irrespective of which correlation coefficient you choose to employ.
  2. Can you provide an example from the respective websites of your prices being less than those offered by door2door?
  3. Jacko, As an aside, I noticed that Qatar has the 777 scheduled on some of its BKK services. I believe that the seats in biz class are totally flat rather than the angled ones on the A330s.
  4. Careful what you wish for. The airlines also have the option of completely dropping the schedule.
  5. I've always used www.door2doorpattaya.com in the past. Having a quick glance at the couple of restaurants that both places offer, I couldn't see any evidence of any savings whatsoever. Plus door2door seems to offer a much better choice of restaurants (or at least those that I'd be interested in).
  6. Well, if you meet Miss Thailand and decide to take her back to meet the rest of the extended Kumar family just make sure your grannie has got her hearing aid turned on. Otherwise she might think you're going to marry a protestant.
  7. It wasn't morally reprehensible colonialism. All we were trying to do was instill a vibrant and liberal bastion of multiculturism but the natives weren't overly keen on that happening.
  8. Smelly, I'm confused. In your opening post said, you said "and since this forum (and others) was such a helpful source of info". That would seem to indicate that you weren't new to this forum.
  9. Then who ? Would Middle Eastern Muslims be interested in traveling all the way to LOS, when they have oodles of Americans in Iraq/ Afghanistan to bomb ? Mind you, it would save them Pakistanis ( Joe's or Bacon's ) a long flight back to Blighty to blow us up. No more so than they'd be willing to travel all the way to the US or UK, I suppose.
  10. I'd be more convinced if the OP hadn't felt the need to create a new username to make the report.
  11. I agree. You've got to wonder about the opening gambit when the OP has only been registered for a week or so ..... "A buddy & I just finished renting a pair of condos from DanceWatchers.com for a month, and since this forum (and others) was such a helpful source of info, I thought I’d contribute a review of my experience for others as well".
  12. That must be their "broad inventory" .......... "So, we rented from DanceWatchers and took advantage of their broad inventory...... "
  13. Something to do with whoever bought the rights to the distribution was asking too much cash ..... more than True was prepared to pay for the earlier rounds. Or something along those lines. A good couple of weeks sport coming up ........ looking forward to it.
  14. TrueVisions are currently advertising that both semi-finals will be screened live on TrueSport 3.
  15. Certainly not southern Thai Muslims.
  16. Are you saying therefore that a Singha in Misty's is 110 Baht? Thanks for the answer. Just a shame it took over 100 posts to extract that simple piece of information.
  17. You've not stated what Misty's prices are, period. Misty's should benefit from economies of scale. Same as Tesco v the corner store. The forum is for sharing information. You, for whatever reason, are choosing not to do so. That doesn't mean nobody else can. And cheap to boot. I'm sure that Robin will be quite happy to take my cash.
  18. Jeez, I'd hate to think what would happen if I slagged the place off. I'm distraught ......... that's Misty's AND Skytop that won't be welcoming me.
  19. Because i could be do something more constructive but I'd like to solve the mystery of how much a bottle of Singha costs for the benefit of other BMs. Oh, and I'd be picking up my VIP card. You don't know what my basis is so you can't say it's flawed. Tell me something I didn't know already. As of now, we don't know what Misty's price range actually is. Not for the first time.
  20. Exactly the point. I have no problem paying premium prices if I'm getting a premium product. I'm in Pattaya the week after Songkran so I might take some time out to do a direct comparison between the two places (Misty's and Catz).
  21. MM, I'm in BKK at the moment but before I left Songkhla I had TT&T reconfigre my Linksys modem which allowed me access but I still couldn't get in on my Hatari modem (on original settings). I'm a techie retard, so I have no idea whatsoever what the issue is/was ...........
  22. Jacko, Unfortunately, BigD hasn't got a clue about my financial arrangements, nor what I was actually doing in KL, let alone what I actually do in LOS.
  23. If. Just a pity it hasn't actually managed to fly anywhere. A slight handicap for an aeroplane.
  24. Overweight and stuck in the US .........
  25. Eh? I go to the pub to drink alcohol ........... the weekly shopping gets done at Tesco. That said, even if a bottle of water was 85 Baht in Catz, the mark up would probably be less than a bottle of Singha in Misty's. Or, so I assume. Anyway, I'll keep the comparison in mind.
