Idiot Jutanugarn sister injures herself with horseplay prior to major
CheshireTom replied to bigdelta's topic in Sports Talk
I think it's good that her parents allow her to act like a teenage kid; that's what she is. I hope Lydia Ko follows a similar path. Michelle Wie is a prime example of where they don't want to end up. -

Did you book an aircon seat in advance? -
Hua Hin coach service via Suvarnabhumi Airport

Look on the bright side - lots of photo opportunities. The trains are slow, run late and suffer from a general lack of maintenance. That's no big secret. If time is a premium ... there are lots of alternatives. -
Hua Hin coach service via Suvarnabhumi Airport
CheshireTom replied to Severn's topic in Transport in Thailand
I have no doubt ... however, lots of trains go between Bankok and the southern provinces (and on to Malaysia) every day of the week. All of them pass through Hua Hin and, without exception, all have aircon. Anyone planning on making train journeys in Thailand should avail themselves to Dave Bernstein's excellent guide. Did you book a seat? -
Hua Hin coach service via Suvarnabhumi Airport

The timings may not be to everyone's liking, but there are plenty of aircon trains from Bangkok to Hua Hin. -
The LPGA Championship this coming weekend, with the Jutanugarn sisters and Pornanong Phatlum in decent enough form to make an impact and provide some good TV entertainment. I've stuck a tenner on Ariya to win at 16/1 - probably the kiss of death!

Only some of the economy seats have good seat pitch - many are 32-33 inches.

What terrible advice! Tadalafil (Cialis) has a half-life of around 17.5 hours. -
Etihad - Bangkok to Europe (MAN) under 75k biz class
CheshireTom replied to CheshireTom's topic in Airline Discussion
How much do you think they should be? -
Just got a good deal on Etihad BKK-MAN for my missus in June ... less than 75k incl taxes for biz class with short stopovers. They even chuck in a limo at MAN and BKK.

Good news for the Brits - now you can get your favourite Isaan delicacies at Selfridges and Harvey Nicks - green curry crickets, salt and vinegar grasshoppers and BBQ flavour worm crisps. Just what you need to brighten up the days!

Following the fortunes of the Jutanugarn sisters in the LPGA golf over the weekend, another Thai, Pornanong Phatlum, popped up at the top of the leaderboard. I don't know how I've managed to miss her.

Another Top 5 finish in Mobile, Alabama for Ariya this weekend. That's five LPGA events played and five Top 5 finishes so far. Congratulations to fellow Thai, Pornanong Phatlum, who grabbed second place in the same event.

LOL. Sure you did. Is betting on the BPL an example of you immersing yourself in Thai culture? And if they contact you a week after the end of the season you'll tell them what your bets were. Good game with WBA yesterday though. Didn't you also "bet" that they would be relegated and their manager sacked?

Up to #16 in the latest Rolex rankings after playing only 13 events ... Unfortunately, I can't find any odds for the US Open, otherwise I'd have a bit of a flutter on a top 4/5 finish.

I thought it was a pretty cool way to sign-off. What's next? Life on Mars?

You can register a vehicle if you have a tourist visa (if the Dept of Land Transport Office is up to date). Getting the required residency certificate can be a pain - some immigration offices and embassies will only issue them against a non-imm visa.

Depends on the ticket conditions/restrictions - if you've been issued a ticket, give the airline a call direct. It's usually cheaper to change a return after the date of departure (and no need to involve Travelcity at all).
