  1. He's great when they're winning ... it'll be interesting to see how he acts when they aren't. Someone at Utd needs to give that young lad a slap around the ear about his diving before he gets a bit of a reputation. He's better than that.
  2. The consensus seems to be that if they (Liverpool) don't finish in the top four, he'll be heading elsewhere.
  3. They still have Chelsea and City away to take them up to the half-way mark (19 games) ...
  4. Marks and Spencer in Central World or Central Chidlom do decent farang-sized clothes. Not cheap though.
  5. I think you're confusing Agger ...
  6. Another one from the folk at HeadMun's to add to the list ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqaBKWtbWPA and the YouTube link to the OP's vid ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyNVpvZRwIY
  7. In the same area you can also find the Marriott which is pretty nice, considerably more expensive and guest friendly. Likewise The Landmark, Sheraton and Westin are all in the same general area and are all guest friendly. Then there is The Atlanta.
  8. You have my sympathy, however, just because the Narai was a mistake for you, it had nothing to do with the price.
  9. Gracemount, Gilmerton, Niddrie - the original Axis of Evil!
  10. I don't think there's much direct correlation between hotel prices in Bangkok and whether a place is guest friendly. That's not been my experience. Scroll down for Patpong ...
  11. I was born in Abbeyhill but brought up in Bonnyrigg.
  12. Tea? Cha? Chai? Tee? Thé?
  13. He was born in Joppa.
  14. No, it's The Hun who is threadfucking.
  15. From Liverpool (I assume) ... you pay an extra 20 quid for the courier fee.
  16. I can see the difference if the passport is actually issued overseas, but if you live in LOS, it's issued in Liverpool - the same as if you lived in UK.
  17. The difference in price is amazing if you are applying from overseas. Anyone any idea as to why there is such a big difference? Edit in ... I found the answer .... except I'm not really any the wiser ... it's as if they are charging for the passport being issued overseas. "There are three components to passport application fees: the costs incurred in administering passport applications (this forms most of the fee); the costs of providing consular assistance to British citizens overseas (known as the ‘consular premium’); and the costs of providing assistance to British citizens overseas in the event of unexpected emergencies (known as the ‘emergency consular premium’).10 The fees are reviewed on an annual basis. The IPS sets the fee for passport applications made in the UK, in conjunction with HM Treasury. The IPS cannot make a profit from the application fee; nor is it allowed to operate at a loss.11 The fees for British passports issued overseas are also set on a full cost recovery basis (calculated on the basis of the staff, accommodation and overhead costs proportionate to the average time taken worldwide to provide the service) and scrutinised by HM Treasury.12 The same fee applies in all countries, but it must be paid in the local currency, so the exact charge may fluctuate depending on the official consular exchange rate."
  18. Don't blame me or Google for your shortcomings. Anyway, thanks to the power of Google, I've sussed that the Major Cineplex folk have it scheduled in Thailand during March. Do they have cinemas where you live?
  19. Yes, it's a pretty popular drink. Ask for no sugar - they tend to put a load in otherwise ... Mod has the typical recipe ... If you search "ชาดำเย็น" on Google, Images will show you what you get.
  20. I'm obviously missing something, but cha yen (ชาเย็น) and cha dam yen (ชาดำเย็น) are pretty standard fare for most Thai cafes (with or without various flavorings). What's different about your iced tea? If you order iced tea, it normally comes with lashings of Carnation milk - you have to specify black iced tea (and tell them, "no sugar, please" - mai sai nam taan).
  21. 7-11 and/or Family Mart. They both sell iced tea and hot dogs/hamburgers.
  22. Martin Jol should know his way around ... I feel sorry for whoever takes the job .... 100m quid of unmotivated shit to deal with first.
  23. Does Thai still do premium economy? I thought they had binned it along with their A340-500 planes.
  24. Fly on the 17th and AirAsia, Nok and LionAir all have flights under 1,500 Baht incl at decent times.
