Yes, Greg, I'm aware of all these things. What I don't understand is the exact correlation between the market price of rice in Udon Thani and how many Baht I get to the UKP. I'm not a "financial" guy, but have read more than a few credible reports over the last 6 months or so that question the basic fundamentals of the Thai economy, but none that have expressed the opinion that all is well (except from a few Thai sources). I don't understand the numbers, so just have to go on my gut instinct ... i.e. where is the funding coming from that is fuelling all the rampant consumerism I see everywhere.

Apologies if someone has already posted a link to the movie. If you appreciate Thai comedy and horror, you could do a lot worse than settling down for an hour or two to watch Pee Mak Prakanong. One of the few Thai movies that you can watch with a teelack and both be entertained ... Lots of options to download on the main torrent sites - be careful to read the comments though - there is one copy with subtitles that appear to have been done by one of those girls that act as the local e-mail compiler ...
