Your welcome and thank you. Good luck on the new house just make sure you go visit home pro... That will keep your wife busy for some time
-
Your attempt at a wind up will not work here. Try it with someone else.

There are no flooding issues as the house sits well above the rest of the ground. Hard to tell in the photo. It has a subtle grading to help with drainage and I spent quite a bit of baht trucking in dirt to raise the level.

I believe we used house 8 for the plans with a few modifactionss and of course no garage. I let the wife do it since its her place.

Thanks for the reply BigDan. Never been to Thailand in "high season" except for once. And then I just book an apt for 3 months. Just want to make sure don't get left out in the cold at most of the good places cause I didn't book.

Train ,3rd class fare to Nong Khai 35bhts for 3 of us,wih Pics
packhike replied to Dr Mick's topic in Expat Issues
Done the overnite Bkk-CM, BKK-Nong Kai, BKK-Samui(combo train, bus, ferry) BKK-Hat Yai. Love traveling by train when in Thailand. Always go 2nd class aircon sleeper. I never eat the food made on the train cause the food sucks. Always buy from the vendors that hop on board at train stops. Nothing better then ice cold beer and fried chicken from the vendors..... -
Will be in Pattaya at end of Oct. and have made a reservation for 3 days. I decided I want to walk around when I am there and look at places before booking the rest of my trip. Will be looking at needing to book Oct 28-Nov 11. Will that be possible as I know this is going in to high season? Or should I book my hotel now? I figure with the way the world economy is right now that maybe High Season won't be as busy as usual and rooms won't be so hard to come by......

Thanks for all the great replies and info. I will be checking out some of those restaurants in Oct. I have always heard about Kobe beef (the massaged ones) and have always wanted to try it so figured what the hell you only live once. LOL This picture just makes me drool.... Yes I like my meat but only the four footed cow kind.
-
Has anyone ever had Kobe beef? Is it available in Pattaya? I found one restaurant in Bangkok at Siam Paragon that has it although a tad expensive... If it's not available in Pattaya guess I will do a day trip to BKK. http://www.kabukithailand.com/menu_special.html

Has anyone recently stayed at the WindyInn. Did the search but the last posts are all from 2002-2003. Any info would be appreciated http://www.windyinn-pattaya.com/

Eva Business class /Premium Laurel isn't all that great IMHO. Yes its a bigger seat and a little bit more room but the new seats they have when you fully extend it out you keep feeling your going to slide down the seat. I'm 6'5'' and the foot rest is to short for me. So I ended up not being able to fully extend the seat. I actually find the elite class seats to be more comfortable.

Yes and last time there were a shit load of posts about lady boys by a certain poster guess what he was kicked off. If you wish to post about ladyboys there is a forum with which to do so. I am sure you will get better info there since that is what interests those members. Ok now I know this isn't The POLITICALLY CORRECT thing to say now days were just supposed to be quiet and say yea you like to fuck guys up the ass thats ok. go ahead fuck any dude you want but try not to post it on a board that is mostly made up of heterosexual males.
-
Well unlike a few posters on this board I try to help people out. So using something called a brain which a few posters here don't have I went to Yahoo and typed in "ladyboy thailand forum" and the first hit back was that link. Now I know some people get off being wankers and dip shits cause they have no life and just want to rile people up but I'm one of those old time forum members who actually tries to post intelligent and helpfull replies. I suggest you give it a try mrdiablo.

For those of you who like to mess around with dudes or dudes with tits. May I suggest you take it over to this site http://theladyboyforums.com/cgi-bin/board/ikonboard.cgi Please lets keep this board for those of us who love girls with natural/fake tits and NATURAL pussies. Lets keep the info about Women in Pattaya and Thailand..... Each his own and each his own board. Hence the link above

Check here for the latestet reviews..for penthouse http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews...ya.html#REVIEWS In one of the reviews the reviewer mentions room 215 has an "exercise swing" I have stayed there twice but those times were like 5 and 7 years ago. Had a cheap room right above the kittens club. First time I stayed there they had a tv channel that showed their club and you were able to watch the tv then order a girl up to your room. Never tried it but it was something different they offered. I like it for the location. But I have seen reviews from people who hated it. So up to you.

Dentist - False Teeth
packhike replied to mr hyde's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
Dental implant technology has vastly improved within the last few years. Were in 2009 not 1986..... There have been great advances in "one time" implants. There is the Nobel Biocare "All in 4 implant" that uses 3d cat scan technology which allows the dentist to accurately view where the implant is to be placed hence they are able to do implants in one day. This method has been approved by the FDA as well. Implants will require less follow up care and are more cost effective in the long run but the whole point of getting them done in Thailand is how cheap they can be done. Follow up appts can be done in the country where you live.... -
Dentist - False Teeth
packhike replied to mr hyde's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
What type of false teeth are you talking about. Do you want full dentures or full dental implants. Both can be done in as little as 7 days although the dental implants are just a little bit more expensive Try these links..... http://www.dentistbangkok.net/index.html http://www.dentalthailand.com/index.html http://www.bumrungrad.com/overseas-medical...tal-Center.aspx Hope this helps -
Sorry talking about the tomatoes that grow in our land in LOS. Once they start to grow they disappear..
-
They get a few to a good size but the problem is the people coming through at nite and stealing them off the plant. I think the next time were there were going to put up a fence and barbed wire to keep the thiefs out.
-
Just thought I would add that my wife has planted angelwood tree, dragon fruit, Hawaiian, mexican, and Thai papaya trees, American tomatoes, lettuce carrots, and cucumber. These are all the ones that are growing successfully.

Thanks for that link jte. I had once and deleted it by mistake then could never find it again.

Ok to answer everyones question about the color of the house it is actually a peach color. For some reason in photos it comes out pink. My wife chose the color she thought it would be a darker color but as they say in Thailand Mai bpen Rai... It takes a couple of days and the color grows on you. If you get out in the country side the new fashion for house and building colors are some very bright colors so I guess we are keeping up with the jones As to why there is a column in the middle of the house its either asthetic or for support. We like the look of it ands some formality to the room (just a personal taste thing) The roof is made from steel and has clay or concrete style tiles on top. I will be the first to say I dont know crap about construction. Electrical and plumbing I know about but thats it. The builder we used started out as an architecture and then moved into general construction. He has done houses, major apartment buildings, as well as commercial buildings. He has a lot of experience in his field. The house had its annual inspections by the gov't inspection and was certified by the gov't. Whatever the hell that means. I followed Gary's advice(thank you) and put in what I could walk away from. I spent what I wanted to and put my trust in the builder. I will say this I moved into a house here in the states on June 07 and have had nothing but problems with it. It is under warranty but damn The only problems with the thai house I found on final inspection was 2 windows that would not lock. They were fixed the next day and we have a 1 year warranty on the house. Yes I do believe the builder will honor the warranty. I guess I just have faith in some people. I will be posting pictures of the actual construction process (the few that I have)

js007 we bought the land owned by my wife qof course and paid about 105,000 baht for 1 rai. It is right in the middle of the village. Not a very big village pat-uk the cost was 900,000 baht a little less then $30,000 US This house was done somewhat western style. He started construction and when certain goals were met he got paid. He gave us an allowance for the marble as his plan included tile we just paid the difference between the two costs.

For those of you who are interested here are a few pictures of the house my wife and I had built in Thailand. We had an excellent builder who also threw a few items for free. This was the first house he had built in this province and wanted to use it as a "model" house to drum up more business. Total cost of the house was approx 900,00 baht and is located outside of Kampangphet. The house is 3bed/2 bath and is over 1300 sq ft. Front of house--Unfortunately I don't have a photo of it totally completed. There is a chrome railing that goes around the front porch. The porch was done with tile and the 2 cement posts on the right side supports a tinted glass roof. The extra high roof, wood decoration around roof, and the window decorations (framing on the outside) were done for free by the builder. View of countryside from front of house Back side of house--the builder added on the back porch for free. If you notice the electrial wiring we had that hidden inside and outside the house. We also had them put extra weather proof outlets around the house as well as extra water spigots. A close up of the back porch. Living room area of house. We had all the floors in the main area as well as the column in the middle done with marble. There is one aircon unit in the living room and each bedroom has an aircon unit. Recessed ceiling in living room. This was done by the builder for free as well as adding the recessed lights and dimmer lights. Curio cabinet and window into kitchen. Kitchen. All the counters are made out of marble. We decided not to add the stove, refrigerator, and a few other things yet. We will be adding those next time we go. One bedroom. Floors are of tile. 2nd Bedroom. I realized I don't have a picture of the master bedroom but it's pretty much the same but quite a bit larger. Bathroom in master bedroom. 2nd bathroom. We will be putting in a couple of thousand more dollars to tweak it to the way we like. The builder was an excellent person and we believe did a really great job. If your interested in the builder or any other info just pm me.
