100% in relating to your Thai lady it is not correct about your average Thai lady....Like I said before if thats the Thai lady you picked/attracted then you need to take a long hard look in the mirror and find out what is fucked about yourself..........

Well I did it last year in Pattaya and had a blast. Love Songkran and I think Pattay is at the top of the list for Songkran. Can't beat buying the blocks of ice and such and it's drive up service...Now that being said I avoided Soi2 thru Soi13 and Walking Streat and Beach Road....I stayed well away from all those areas. Ventured only once on beach road and took forever to get anywhere... Stay away from those areas during the day time and I think you will have a good time..

When you check in ask if you can pay to use CAthay Pacific lounge. I have done this with EVA Air before cost was 800 baht...(this was back when it was 40b=$1) so about 20$. Made sure to drink more then that in liquor. Also paid to use the lounge in Taipei........ Though in SFO they would not let me pay to use the lounge...Typicall American BS....

Well I have been there but can remember the restaurant prices.. We bought the little stuff like ice cream and drinks and sodas from the vendors and that was about double you find on the street....but then you are stuck in their location...Wife seems to remember that the restaurant was expensive....It is an amusement park so they always jack up the prices. As an idea bananas for the elephants were 40 baht whereas everywhere else in Thailand I have paid 20 baht at elephant camps and such... Nong Nooch Gardens

How does one participate in a conversation with several BG's who have limited english skills.... I mean after the where you come from, where you stay, how long you stay, how old you, do you then head off to discuss quantam mechanics with them???? Really who wants to converse for 2 hours about what ot feed the pigs and the chickens and what girl is doing what to her boyfriend.

Not that this helps now but I still have ATT asia calling plan (they no longer offer it) cost $8 per month with 100 minutes "free" (basically pre paying for the 100 minutes) and then $.08 per minute after that I like ATT cause always have a good connection with their land lines now their cell phone service on the other hand...

Yes Thais pick up the tab........IN fact I have had quite a few Thai friends pick up the tab every time we go out....Again they were male friends...In fact they have picked up the tab so much that there have been times I have had to cut the waitress off so I could pay the bill.....Some people really should look at who they hang out with..... Back to your topic you are in THAILAND learn the language.....Simple as that.....If you want to have a conversation with the BG's you decide to rent then get ones that have good english skills.....Maybe they really don't understand you...Thats not their problem it's yours.................The language difference is what makes Thailand a nice place to live. It adds to the challenge of living. You want easy stay in your home country......Everyone has had problems trying to communicate it just depends upon how you deal with it..It took me 20 minutes one time to get a salesperson at homepro to understand I wanted one of those electrified fly swatters...I could of bitched and moaned about it but I enjoyed it cause there was satisfaction in knowing that we finally understood each other.....It's all how you view it.............and its what I like the challenge.........

If you come to Pattaya to drink, have fun, and get laid then why do you or anyone else give 2 CENTS what a bunch of thay women say when they speak in Thai or even care if they include you in their conversation. Let the women do their thing then take the 1 or 2 and bang them till they are quiet.....better yet learn some of the language and you will actually have more fun................but that takes work....

Ok time to put school back into session....lets go out into the REAL Thailand not the Pattaya version..... When most people are out and about (thais) you will notice one thing.....The men are talking with the men and the women are talking with the women (unless the guys are trying to get laid or date said lady)... The idea that a male would want to sit there and listen to the female gossip that goes on between women is ludicrous..... So the very fact that you are a farang male sitting with a bunch of women is strange in itself... Now there are exceptions but we are going with the majority of the time.... Thais also understand that most MEN (real men that is) could give 2 fucks what women talk about and vice versa.... So to them to even think about including you in their conversation is not going to happen....Thailand is not the politically correct, unisex, metrosexual and all that other bullshit that most western countries are..... Now here is a test. Try finding some Thai friends who are male and have had exposure to english and see if they include you in the conversation or not.....Remember this is a CULTURE that the very idea that a husband and wife would be friends is very foreign...Men have their men friends and do their manly things and the women have their women friends and do their thing.... And if you really want to understand what is RUDE It's people who continually visit a country every year and STILL MAKE NO EFFORT TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF SAID COUNTRY and then bitch and moan about how they can't follow along in the conversation cause it's supposed to be all about them.... Take some lessons, learn the language, and then guess what this problem goes away..........................That's the polite thing to do.......................

Heres a an idea....try learning Thai since you are in.................................wait for it..............................THAILAND.... Thats like me getting pissed cause my wifes family speaks Thai while in Thailand at their house in Thailand and I am staying at my house in THAILAND... Newsflash for some of you in THAILAND THEY SPEAK THAI If you learn the language then you don't have to worry try doing something for yourself, put forth a little effort.....Damn some people are just lazy....

Damn just asked the wife and she at first said I don't know then told me 48 weeks after a few seconds.... But I do know that if I took the majority of the board memebers here and threw them in my village and said alright go support yourself i.e...shelter, clothing, food etc...Most wouldn't have a clue how to do that. Now are they just as stupid as the Thais who don't know how many weeks in a year....Both are clueless about one aspect of each others culture, life, etc...... If you think about it most Thais still live in a rural setting and most of the people we have contact with come from rural/agricultural settings. In those settings the idea of how many weeks in a year is pointless. It is more important to know when the growing season starts/end, when the raining season starts/ends, harvesting season etc.......in fact most don't even keep track of what the actual date is (as in the number of the day) Of course my wife is very disappointed she didn't know the answer but she still knows how to survive out in the boonies........and still manages to learn lots on her own that most farangs would give up on... Wife speaking------I never think or was taught how many weeks of the years and it never factored into my life when growing up. Most Thais will know the days and months and most of us get paid by the month. Not by the week or every 2 weeks...that why the date and month are more import for thai people but from now on we might need to change the new life style but when I think again you can look it's easy that Thai people we have a different year number and we write the number of the date--DAY/MONTH/YEAR . Once again now I know how many weeks in one year. Back to me-----Ask Thai people what year it is in Thailand. I would say all will know the answer. Now ask the Farang what year it is and most will get the answer wrong. Guess they are just stupid.........................

Xanax is actually the trade name that Alprazolam is sold under and distibuted by Pfizer (who acquired Upjohn the company that actually came up with the drug) here in the states. Thefore here in the states if you bought Xanax you are NOT buying the generic you are buying the trade marked drug. Same goes with Prozac or countless other drugs that have had their patents expire. You could only buy Prozac under that name when the patent was active when the patenet expired you were able to buy the generic. To call the trade name of a drug a generic is misleading at least here in the states...Drugs are not normally called by their chemical composition (no one would be able to pronounce the drugs name) hence the reason for the brand/trade name.....So basically here in the states we call the Trade named drug a non-generic drug and the non-trade named drug the generic.... I suggest you read more here about how brand and generic drugs work here in the states and most other countries.. Generic drugs And as I stated in my previous post Xanax works for me not the generic named one. The 2 generic named brands I bought in Thailand are under the name Xiemed and Anpress both of course contain 1.0 mg of Alprazolam the same as Xanax (again trade name not the generic name) which has 1 mg of Alprazolam. For whatever reason the genric versions did not work for me...................................

For whatever reason when I have tried the generic version it has never worked as good as the non-generic version. Even though both are the same drug I have just had better results with the one that is stamped xanax.

First trip to Thailand didn't sleep a wink. Hit the a pharmacy in BKK and told the pharmacist my problem. I too can not sleep in any mode of transportation. He gave me ...............XANAX. The best frigging drug there is for this problem.. Basically I take 2 1mg tabs from SFO to TPE and then if I want to pass out again its a 1 mg tab from there. But normally I just do the 2 mg tabs. Wake up with NO sleepy feeling or anything just have absolutely no anxiety for anything. (xanax is an anti-anxiety medication) Make sure if you go this route and buy in Thailand you get the actual xanax and not the generic version...
