I work in the futures markets and have seen these type of moves in different markets. The market will often spike one way before the more defining move the other, in this case the market has taken a hit with a big down move, if there is follow through then yes a decent correction may be under way. Often though the sellers are shaken out of the market and any stabilisation then strength back into the recent trading range may see the buyers come steaming in and drive the market significantly higher, I favour this scenario at present but only if the S&P 500 futures breaks above 1290.

Let me get this right, you can take the Baht bus to Walking street and not see the beach , you can spend all your time in various sois and still have no idea were the beach is . And you have been to Pattaya 3 times ?, yeh right

Another option is when you arrive at the Airport, go up to departures and out were taxis/Mini buses are dropping people off, few years ago i did this and got a mini bus going back to Pattaya for 500 Baht, downstairs in arrivals a taxi/limo was about 1500. A tip though, be disgreet when asking as its a bit of a no no, usually pretty obvious which mini buses are from Pattaya, full of sad looking blokes having to go home. I usualy do the 1 night in Bangkok thing though, so Airport bus to Suk, Soi 4, then following day, skytrain to Ekamai, bus to Pattaya, Baht bus to Hotel, all up about 35

Im Staying at Dynasty Inn at the moment, my room is right next to construction site, noise on the street can be loud at times but in my room you can hardly hear it. Most of the work is quite high at present maybe 6th or 7th floor, my room is on the 2nd floor which may be why i have no or vey little noise, maybe if your going to stay on soi 13, get a low rise room. Also i would guess noise at Sandy Springs would be zero to minimal anyway. Cheeers Alf

I stayed in Jan this year, when i booked i was only offered one type of room at 990 baht a night, was not even aware they had superior or any other class of rooms ?, the room i had was good, not sure if it was superior though !!. Alf

I bought 10 DVD,s on my last visit 7 were just about ok, the other 3 and most recent release were crap quality, will not buy in Pattaya again. On my travels China is the best place for DVD,s and cheaper than Pattaya. Cheers Alf

I travel to the UK 1or 2 times a year, customs at Heathrow looks almost non existant in recent times, i think all the money goes on security these days and as arriving baggage has been checked when loading and the sniffer dogs have checked for evidence of drugs, its not a high prioraty, even if customs are there checking and pull you aside as long as your case is not stuffed with booze and fags, you will probebly be let go with a warning at worst. cheers Alf

bk_ boiler I never took more than 1 TG to my room at a time, no problems or charges, but have read elsewere on this forum that if you do take 2 or more girls to your room then yes they hit you for 500 Baht, one guy i recall however posted that he was never charged and had 2 girls with him on several occasions. As far as i know there are no suites, but im not 100% on that, also yes the rooms are compact, but for me not a major concern overall, the bathrooms are ok and mine would have fitted 3 in the shower with ease also it is seperated from the main bathroom area, so from my experiance

I took my laptop and digital camera on my last trip, when i left the room i did not leave them open or lying around and locked them in my suitcase, if i had a girl for the first time i did not get them out while they were in the room, common sense i think. Most Hotels ive stayed in are around the 800- 1000 baht a night range and seem to have quite good security, some of the cheaper hotels or guest houses may not be so security minded. I never asked but both the Flipper on soi 8 and Dynasty inn soi 13 look like they have some large security box,s, maybe Email a few hotels and ask befo

Sandman, yes there is a pool on the rooftop, is not very big but i found it ok, its clean and a nice place to relax during the day, it closes at 6pm and is locked, so no good for any night time watersports !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Alf

I have taken this route several times both to and from Pattaya, only difference is i stay 1 night in Bangkok at both ends of my trips, so take Airport bus to Nana then following morning skytrain to bus station, round trip will save about 2400 Baht V a limo, im no cheap charlie and enjoy 1 night in Bangkok at each end of a trip, would reccomend to anyone unless you have stacks of luggage, why the rush to Pattaya ?, Bangkok is a good night out, soi cowboy, Nana plaza etc. For me its all part of the LOS experiance, each to there own. cheers Alf

Will add my 2 bahts worth also, stayed for 4 nights in Jan this year, great location, clean, friendly and well located, will be my hotel of choice for future visits as the dynasty in BKK is my 1st choice in that city. Only 1 negative in that rooms are a bit small. Alf

I always take basic cover for anything major, i dont bother with all the bullshit options as i travel light, all i really want is medical as that is the one that if you dont have can get you in serious financial shit and which if you dont have, you are bloody stupid. It does not cost alot, some Credit cards offer free insurance if you pay for your ticket with there card, not sure how good the cover is though ?, the agents here in Oz hit you with a fee if you pay by CC, to recover the % they have to pay, so i always source my own cover. Like condoms, dont leave home for LOS without them
