Got a few quotes on by emailing various dentists in Pattaya all depends on the type of Crown you want quality wise, basic preparation is around 2000 Baht, then for the basic Crown (Porcelain) expect to pay around another 5 or 6000 Baht but if you want a better quality Crown (more gold used) then add another 7500+. Apparently the basic porcelain Crown can cause discolour to the gum over time but those with gold don't, also the Gold adds strength and they last longer. Looks like a top of the range Crown will be around 12 to 14000 Baht, if your happy with the baics then all up about 800

Its ok, rooms a bit small, but safe, secure and quiet and great location. Bit expensive compared to similar hotels in Pattaya but still very cheap compared to UK/Europe, USA and Australia

Russian food is actually very nice if done well, similar to other Eastern European foods and not that different to German either, yes it features plenty of cabbage and potatoes, also pickled foods and root vegetables like beetroots which is used in one of the most famous Russian dishes "Borsch". Pork is popular and they eat the lot, stomachs, brains etc etc, not that other western country's don't but in Russia its far more popular. Never tried it in LOS but it is a food for a cold climate so not really that suitable in the tropics, also by judging by the quality of other western foods

Dentists in Pattaya, any recommendation's ?
Alfred replied to Alfred's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
Thanks for the replys For those who had a crown, how long did it take, here in Oz its 2 visits, one to measure up and prepare then 2 weeks later to fit the crown, im hoping i can get it done in 5 days or at the longest a week in LOS as ive only got a week. -
Going to cost me around A$1600 if I get a crown the dentist here in Oz says I need, my insurance will only cover A$500, Dentist has told me I need to get it done by the end of the year, after a browse I can see that the cost in LOS is the equivalent of A$400 to A$500 but this is just an Internet search and mainly Bangkok dentists with websites. Has anyone had dental work done and can they recommend a dentist in Pattaya, I know there are a few around, could see a few around the Avenue shopping plaza near soi 13, preferably want website or Email to contact so I can arrange consultation when

Stayed 5 nights, paid 980Baht per night, there's no doubt better value for money around but rooms here are basic but comfortable, the shower has plenty of pressure, WiFi was also a good signal in the room i had and free, location is good, staff are friendly, its quiet at night and more importantly in the morning. So gets the thumbs up from me Rooms are all no smoking which again is a plus, hate checking into a room that's had a hard core smoker in it for a few weeks as the small can linger for weeks after and even i enjoy a cigarette now and then you can sit outside your room and pu

Alfred replied to Alfred's topic in Airline Discussion
Its back again but the price has gone up, now $720 but hell WTF, why anyone who goes to LOS would use any other airline is beyond me. Great food, great service and the best frequent flyer program, i fly with them all the time, was on the new A380 last week coming back from New Zealand, and a very nice piece of machinery that bird is. Oh, and no i don't work for them just passing on what has to be the best deals out of Sydney, why would anyone go with Jetstar ????? that so called budget Airline ????, a couple of hundred $ more, shit food that you have to pay extra for, shit service and -
Never stayed here but it does look ok from walking past and was told its ok, anyone stayed here who can confirm its good ?. The Website is limited with info but is the Wifi in room ? or only common areas only ?. Rooms look ok but they always do on a website its also Soi 13 so i guess noise and particualy early mornings wont be a problem, don't think there is any construction close by.

There at it again, Sydney to Bangkok for A$698 including all taxes plus availability is very very good, there is a blackout period from mid June to August 31 but apart from that all dates i looked at had availability. Booked a trip in May for 5 days and 1 in September for a week, basically 2 for the price of 1, plus im in there frequent flyer program which IMO is the best and if you book online direst with them you get bonus points so should have enough points from these 2 trips plus a few other flights ive done for a free trip in December Special is until 20th April

Stayed for 3 nights. Had room on the ground floor which was a bit worn and old but bathroom was new, also was noisy especially in the morning when the kids started playing, saw them the afternoon before and they are nice kids, not sure if they are the staffs or were staying with there parents but at 8am you just want the little buggers to shut up, so I asked if I could be moved upstairs and was. The next 2 nights I was on the 3rd floor, lovely room and views over the bay, the stairs to the 2nd floor are not too bad but to the 3rd a bit hairy after a few beers so if you don’t like stair

Best deals out of Sydney are with Emirates plus there one of the best carriers IMO, good food and entertainment on board, join there frequent flyer club, its the best of all the airlines and book online for extra points, there specials are always good and even if you book peak times because there fuel surcharges etc are far less than other carriers the flights are usually cheaper than Singapore, Thai or Qantas. Only down side is the very late arrival into Bangkok but return, the early evening flight is good. Jetstar IMO are utter shit and to be avoided unless desperate, note if you wan

There are 2 books, New Market Wizards is more recent although has been out for a few years, like the original, its excellent and a must read for anyone who wants to trade.

I agree 100%, problem is most people could do it but cant, is emotionally a nightmare at times, when things are going well its easy but most of the time they wont be !, trading is about losing and not about winning, winning is easy, its how you handle your losses that counts. First and foremost you need a plan and a plan with an edge or a "Positive expectancy", strict discipline to follow your trading rules and not deviate not matter how hard the temptation, Casinos have a very small edge in the games they offer but still rake the money in over time, sure they get the odd punter who makes

Amazes me that people think trading is an easy business, reality is its one of the hardest ways to earn a living and takes a hell of a lot longer to earn than most people think, most who start out fail, ask yourself do you think you could become a doctor by reading a whole load of books and doing research on the Internet ? What most people don't realise is that trading isn't all about buying and selling its actually about risk management, cut your losses and let your profits run, problem is most people who try and trade break this golden rule, reality also is most of the worlds most succes

Open an account with an Aus/NZ bank and yes you will get those rates. There is a catch and i can only quote this for Australia, unless you have an Australian Tax file number (TFN), the bank will deduct 48% of your interest and pay it to the Australian tax office, if you have an TFN they wont, but i think to get a TFN you have to be an Australian citizen or a permanent/temporary resident, if you then have a TFN you will have to do an Australian tax return.

Any Aussies out there thinking of a trip? Emirates have announced today fares from Sydney to Bangkok for under A$700 return including all taxes during September and October, When you consider most other airlines charge over A$500 just for the taxes on this routes this is bloody cheap and with a good airline. I booked a long weekend at the end of September on the spot at this price You can book through travel.com for $685 or direct with Emirates for $690, I booked direct with Emirates as if I for some unforeseen reason I need to change dates its far easier than doing it through an a

Ive stayed a few times and IMO, its OK, cheaper than Nana or dynasty and better rooms, loads of Arabs but never had a problem with them, freelancers hang about some OK some not and they have a massage parlour near reception down stairs and although i never tried it the girls looked quite good, you can also choose to have the massage in your room, they also take ID from any TG you may have in your room and phone to ask if all is OK before returning to her when she leaves, so security is good as well. Had a disco downstairs from reception when i stayed last that's worth a visit although dri

Bob calls his buddy Sam, the horse rancher, and says he's sending a friend over to look at a horse. Sam asks "How will I recognize him?" That's easy, he's a midget with a speech impediment." So, the midget shows up, and Sam asks him if he's looking for a male or female horse. "A female horth." So he shows him a prized filly. "Nith lookin horth. Can I thee her eyeth"? Sam picks up the midget and he gives the horse's eyes the once over. Nith eyeth, can I thee her earzth"? So he picks the

I tried Bobs at LK about 2 weeks ago. Had the kettle fired beans which were nice although I had to send back as they were luke warm, actually cold in the middle, second time they came out nice and hot, taste wise, not bad. Then had a cheeseburger which to be honest was pretty disappointing, not much taste or much filling, also very few fries to go with it to be honest a Big Mac would have been better. Margarita though was very good and as the advert said, the best in Pattaya and from having quite a few when there, Bobs gets my vote as the best. Service was good as well; the you

Last 2 trips i gave the brekkie buffet a miss and worked a treat, no squirting Back on topic, The pool at the Sandy is probably the best IMO although nothing special, if you consider a pool a must then all 3 arnt really that great, the Dynasty is tiny, basically a tub on the roof.

As well as strikes in the UK, Strikes are being threatened in Australia by Qantas engineers who amongst other things do the preflight safety checks not only for Qantas but i think they have contracts with a few other Airlines like British Airways. Combined with the UK strikes could throw a spanner in the works for the whole regions airline schedules. these strikes are a few weeks away and the Unions now full well its one of the busiest periods for airline travel so are using it to there advantage, when it comes to it think both the UK and Australian strikes wont go ahead, unions and ma
