  1. I have a return ticket booked with Thai going out Jan 18th returning Feb 18th..now this as been subject to some doubt now because of the impending strikes at heathrow in January..my question is, if I were to book with a different carrier for my outward journey (before the strike starts) would I still be able to travel back home on my original Thai ticket? if anyone as done this before I would be interested to hear it..Im prepared to pay £344 with EVA just for peace of mind and an enjoyable christmas

  3. you have next to no chance of getting a room at MS at this time, it will be fully booked for the christmas period
  4. Good-bye Daddy A father put his three year old daughter to bed, told her a story and listened to her prayers which she ended by saying: 'God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, God bless Grandma and good-bye Grandpa.' The father asked, 'Why did you say good-bye grandpa?' The little girl said, 'I don't know daddy, it just seemed like the thing to do.' The next day grandpa died. The father thought it was a strange coincidence. A few months later the father put the girl to bed and listened to her prayers which went like this: 'God bless Mommy, God Bless Daddy and good-bye Grandma..' The next day the grandmother died. Oh my gosh, thought the father, this kid is in contact with the other side. Several weeks later when the girl was going to bed the dad heard her say: 'God bless Mommy and good-bye Daddy. ' He practically went into shock. He couldn't sleep all night and got up at the crack of dawn to go to his office. He was nervous as a cat all day, had lunch sent in and watched the clock. He figured if he could get by until midnight he would be okay. He felt safe in the office, so instead of going home at the end of the day he stayed there, drinking coffee, looking at his watch and jumping at every sound. Finally midnight arrived, he breathed a sigh of relief and went home. When he got home his wife said 'I've never seen you work so late, what's the matter?' He said 'I don't want to talk about it, I've just spent the worst day of my life.' You think you,ve had a bad day she said, I opened the front door this morning and found the milkman dead on the doorstep.

  12. Im looking for something a little different in Febuary, I normally stay at Majestic suite, but really I find the room too small, I don`t mind paying a little extra (2500 baht max) want it to be in the Suk area not too far from nana, must be clean , looked at Dynasty grand, but they are charging 2680 a night, guess I can go that high but want to look at other options first..any suggestions? EDIT following on from this post, I found the omni tower hotel on Soi 4, a bit pricey but it looks just what Im looking for..however I can`t see any reviews anywhere, need to know if it is guest friendly or not?
  13. Really nice hotel, stayed there twice..however it really is overpopulated with middle aged farang guys with their equally fat middle aged wives, sometimes get the "look" when you come down with your BF in the mornings
  14. Thaiempire thats an odd board name, its a kingdom,

  17. A blonde and a redhead went to the bar after work for a drink, and sat on stools watching the 6 O'clock news. A man was shown threatening to jump from the Brooklyn Bridge, and the blonde bet the redhead $50 that he wouldn't jump. Sure enough, he jumped, so the blonde gave the redhead $50. The redhead said, "I can't take this, you're my friend." But the blonde insisted saying, "No. A bet's a bet." Then the redhead said "Listen, I have to tell you that I saw this on the 5 O'clock news, so I can't take your money." The blonde replied "Well, so did I, but I didn't think he would jump again!"

  23. This is a clip from my favourite sitcom comedy of all time, some of our American cousins may not of heard of it before, but it was based in the trenches of the Somme in WW1..and if you are wondering why Rowen Atkinson (Mr Bean) as a cloth on his head and two objects stuck up his nose..he was trying to get certified as mad and a discharge from the army Tony Robinson as Baldrick was brilliant in his role http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4TKTRV4HM0
