  1. Good one Adam. I am sure it must be a relief to sell and move on. The sale does not appear to have taken to long, but I am sure it will make running the Soi 8 bar a lot easier and less frantic! Trying to run two bars at once ineviatibily means one will not be quite be 100%, no matter how hard you try to do the right thing.
  2. They are both shithouse. A pox on both their houses!
  3. All good news Pete, as to run a successful business anywhere in Thailand and certainly Pattaya you have to be clever and creative. I wish you well as having plenty of willing girls will bring the customers in.
  4. I stayed at this hotel, located on the corner of Soi Moo and Soi 11 2nd Road in February this year at the recommendation of a mate. However, if I had not already paid in advance I would have decamped after a couple of nights. It was shithouse with a very indifferent maid service, rotten bed linen, which should all be thrown out and replaced, dodgy front desk staff - all smiles, but ready to rip you off at the slightest opportunity - particularly as regards the minibar and the in-house internet service. With so many other accomodation options in Pattaya, do not bother with this dump or any of the other Sawasdee hotels in Pattaya or anywhere in Thailand. They have about 20 hotels in the country - avoid them all.
  5. I love Blues and I love the Blues Factory, having spent a few nights there in 2007. I stayed at the Galaxy Suites above Heaven Above and Lam Morrison's wife is the receptionist there (or was then at least). She gave me the 'good oil' and I went there to see him play and I wasn't disappointed. Great venue, music and atmosphere. I will be LOS in Feb and I will make sure I am in Patters for this session.
  6. Thanks for the pics. Only four weeks & I will be back in Patters.
  7. I am still gobsmacked when so many foreigners go to Thailand and demand non-Thai food and then complain when it doesn't come out the exact way they are used to back home in Farang-land. Get over it guys you are in Thailand eat Thai food or stay at home in Farang-land and eat your lousy stooge food, get fat and have a heart attack and die! Get real!!!!!!!!
  8. Another 'chocko lover' I take it!
  9. Sorry. this ain't a competition I would enter. The hangover these guys would have experienced would have been ugly, no doubt about it.
  10. Those guys who reckon Lin is not a looker need to get their eyes checked real soon, as they are totally blind. She is gorgeous!
  11. LordFlash - thank you for the answering my questions. I will check out the property scene when I come to Thailand, keeping in mind this good information you have supplied.
  12. LordFlash, I have a couple of questions, which other BMs may be interested in the answers, as well. I am thinking of buying a condo in Thailand in the near future. When purchasing a condo in Thailand as a foreigner, do I have to have the funds in a a local bank account before I purchase? I have been told that the money has to be in a local account, thence to be transferred to pay for the purchase at the time of settlement. I am married to a Thai (we were married in Sydney, last year) & we have a joint bank account in Thailand. I wish to purchase the condo in our joint names. I have heard that apartment/condo buildings have a quota of foreign owners & once that level has been reached no more foreigners are allowed to purchase in that building. Is that correct? I will be purchasing a condo with no mortgage. I am a secretary in a Strata body in Sydney & I believe that the building ownership situation is very different to the Strata sytem of common ownership that we have here in my state of New South Wales, Australia. How does the system work in Thailand? Also, what about ongoing maintenance costs & issues? Thanks in advance, LordFlash.
  13. I have done the bus many times and I always find the return trip is much slower, because they do not use the elevated roadway on the run back to BKK. I have never worked out why this so. I have also got off the bus at On Nut a few times, when I have been travelling light. The idea of a paid seat for your luggage is a good one, except if you have a big pack and as you drag it off the bus you crash against other passengers. That goes down real well with other pax, particularly Thai's - NOT!!!!!! The bus is cheap and generally convenient, but if there are any delays as can often happen on Fridays, the trip can blow out by an hour with no trouble at all. I have done the taxi a few times and in future I plan to make that my preferred way. It is not much money - less than the cost of a Pattaya Short time. You travel in much greater comfort, your luggage is secure, you don't have to put up with inane conversations (sometimes) going on around you. With a good driver (there are many of them, believe me) you will get where you want to be - at Pattaya in double quick time, be at a bar or in your room (with your companion of choice) or just doing exactly what you travelled all that way for, much sooner than any other way. You pays for what you get - put simply! Time is precious on a short trip, do not waste it on the 'bus tour'.
  14. A terrific set of photos, which give a good idea of what Koh Lan is about, in particular. Even the Jomtein and Pattaya beaches look pretty clean. Good to see the sewerage system seems to be still working.
  15. This may seem like a dumb question - but how do I send an email to MM or PattayaPete regarding photos I have uploaded to the Secure Gallery Application Area. There seems to be no info in this regards anywhere on the site. Thanks in anticipation.
  16. Well done Alan/Shane, I will be in Patters next month and I will definately be in your GoGo after I hit town and I am sure I will find an attractive lady or two, in your bar to barfine at least once during my stay. However, as previously pointed out by another BM, the GoGo's & bars that really cause these barfine problems are not and will not ever be involved or read/reply in these or other such-like forums. They are too busy (or they are illiterate/dumb/non-English speaking or someothe reason) making money to be bothered with all these niceties. That is the way it will always be - so fuck'em!!!!!!!!
  17. Well I have just found a photo of NAN the Nana Angelwitch service girl I mentioned in my previous post. Here she is and beware of chubby, smiling packages looking like this.
  18. My one experience of taking out a service girl was in BKK at NEP in June this year when I was taken in by one of Angelwitches service staff and as far as I am concerned she should stay doing that forever!!! I was attracted by a great smile and good english. She was a fairly chunky girl, but that is OK in my eyes as I have found that they often give a great 'ride'& are often very affectionate. However, my mistake was not asking the questions one should always ask before you pop the BF issue. Do you BBBJ, allow nudie photos or any photos at all, lights on 'action', etc. When I got back to my room it was a great big fat (literally) NO, to almost everything I wanted of her. It was all over so quick I wondered what I had experienced. She was pretty quick making me cum (in total darkness), so I hardly got to appreaciate her full figure, which I could feel was great in all the right places and the next thing she is in the shower and the hand was out for her fee and then she expected a tip. You know what I did - I told her that she was OK as a service girl but she was no good in the sex service delivery industry and she should stick to delivering drinks and crisps only!. Her english was good enough to understand and she is one service girl I will in future treat just like that - a waitress and no more than that. Her name was NAN.
  19. Hi Rightsaid, I'll be coming to Thailand on the 12 Feb for a period of 4 or 5 months (semi-retirement) during which I will be spending time in BKK while me and my Thai wife deal with our beloved Immigration Dept (spousal sponorship) and I will make a number of Pattaya runs during my time in LOS. I have been in your bar before and I will make a point of introducing myself, this trip. I know that you have organised a few bar crawls for Sydney BMs, however, for one reason or another (my hospitality work, usually) I have not been able to attend. In the future I should be working more decent hours and will able to attend the gatherings. See you in Feb and I hope you have a real good high season in Patters!
