I love a challenge. You went from 20 meters to 50 meters max...okay, I measured it via google earth...giving you the benefit of the doubt...I measured from the easternmost tip of the front of the Areca to the westernmost tip of the parking lot of the Metropole and the result is shown highlighted (about 85 meters). It's obviously less if you can use a worm hole, I will give you that.

I lived at the Metropole for 3 1/2 years...never used the gym, didn't have breakfast as an option, but loved the place...wish I was still there! I can say that the room service offerings were quite good, whether Thai or Western food. But that was...almost 4 years ago, so keep that in mind.

Sorry, calm, I didn't do gyms or breakfasts, so I cannot rate on those factors.

Monday, June 4 - Visakha Bucha Day (Big Buddha Day)....nationwide closure Saturday June 16 - Pattaya City elections...from what I can tell, that is Banglamung (north) down to Jomtien (south) and east to Wat Thamsamakkee. Sunday June 17 - same areas, but bars might open after the election is declared "over"...maybe 10pm or 11pm. This is my understanding at this point of the scope and length of the closures. It could change based on new information, as usual.

Security settings...cookies, maybe.

I've stayed at both, and much prefer the LK Metropole. The location is excellent...close to Soi Buakhao for baht bus access to South or North Pattaya, close to LK Metro and lots of bars etc.

I think a lot of misplaced rep points are the result of more people using mobile touch screen phones and tablets. I used to buy souvenirs, but never in Pattaya. I'd always get them in Chatujak market, Bangkok. Good luck. My souvenir buying days are long gone.

I suppose it's harmless SEO link spam, since the target website doesn't seem to have any google ads. Normally, I'd delete stuff like that, but this is such valuable and virtually unknown information, there for the taking, that I just feel compelled to leave it up as a service to the community.
