Thanks! That is an awesome site. I especially like the taxes and fees breakdown. It shows how much governments are adding to air fares. I also like the one month look ahead flexibility for the fare search. BTW, I found a Delta fare BKK-SFO for $1045...not bad.

Yeah, it's all finished, but you do have to take a road west at some point to get to Pattaya, because Hwy 7 is inland. There isn't (as of the last time I came down from BKK) any construction or delay on 7. Edit in: Scratch that...now 7, with the new extension offloading between Pattaya North and Pattaya Central connects with Sukhimvit indeed. It's so recent that my out of date GPS says I am in some farm country when I take that section of 7.

Where are you flying from? He's coming from the midwest, so has the cost of getting to the west coast for the transpacific flight.

That's a good fare...I was pricing fares BKK-SFO for June and managed to locate some in the $1300 range. If the OP doesn't depart from the USA west coast, it could be more.
