Seems to have a few glitches, but they should be resolved shortly.

The forum software has been updated today. It might have a few oddities in the way it looks. Right now, I'm running some background tasks to update the posts and attachments. They should be done in a few hours. If you see anything, let me know. Already, I can see that the POST TOPIC screen is a bit weird. We'll look at that shortly.

It does a bit for security. The point of asking why you want to join the board is not that we are that curious about it, but want to know if you can form a decent sentence or explanation. If I get something like "my frind me want see ladee pix" I might be suspicious.

Today, I took a drive around town while my gf took pictures of the Songkran celebrations. We drove north on Second Road, then down Pattaya Klang to Beach Road. Traffic was extremely heavy, and as you can see, the windows of the car eventually were covered by the talc/water mixture that is so popular. Sorry for the movement blur of the first photos (about half). It's because the photographer was hearing the "in focus" beep and thought the picture was taken, thus moving the camera as it was actually taking the picture. I think we worked it out by the end of the trip. The general impression was that this is a very quiet Songkran in Pattaya...only a few places have the riotous water throwing that used to extend all over town. Places that last year or the year before had 40-50 people together, had a dozen or so.

Experiment failed! Back to previous quoting behavior.

Am I the first survivor to wake up? A bunch of us went to TQ2 after the Weds bar crawl. I thought it was just for a quick drink and then home. That was a mistake.

You may have (I don't have the time to check now..just came back from a bar crawl and TQ2's party), but I still don't see why that would make a difference. I am a bit superstitious too, and did it (prior to your post) as a last resort...and (coincidentally) it seemed to work. I used to work peripherally in the networking business, but this situation is way to complex for my limited knowledge.

Well, it's happening to me again! Woke up today, and I can't get to pattayatalk from Thailand without using a foreign-based proxy. A DOS tracert shows the packets bouncing around in Singapore again and then dying. I'll take my own suggestion and reset my ADSL modem and router, click my heels 3 times....and will let you know what happens. -------------- A FEW MINUTES LATER --------------------- Wow, that worked!

With tracert done just now, I got some timeouts, but then it kept going. Notice the hop from Singapore to Palo Alto (California). That is the one where it was dying before, but it's up now. For privacy reasons, I left out my first 5 hops from my router. There is something wrong with the internet routing (somewhere). I was locked out of the PattayaTalk server for a day or so too. Had to use a proxy to find out that it was still up and people were posting. If you can ping pattayatalk.com, then do the following command: tracert pattayatalk.com see where it dies or stops going to the next hop...in my case, it was a node in Singapore. alternatively, try tracert 64.38.29.162 which is the ip of the server. It came back shortly after turning my ADSL modem off for a bit, then back on. I don't know if it was coincidence or not. TTT-MAXNET here, btw.

It broke when the server move happened. New operating system, new database system version...something went wrong, but I will try to fix it in the next few days. Glad to see someone is trying to use it!
