If you submitted a post between 4pm and 8pm (GMT + 7), your post was probably lost in the transition to the new server. Some people were able to get the the old server while it was supposed to be down (my mistake), and their posts were lost --- I think BM conley opened a trip report that didn't get passed over. conley, can you resubmit it (I hope you have a copy)? If you don't, I can go get it from the old server, but it will have my name as the author. I won't mess with the system anymore for a while.

A friend sent me this from the stickmanbangkok site. I haven't been able to confirm it on the Hyatt Erawan site, nor could I find the stickman article from which it is taken, however. It's a heck of a deal if it is available.

My guess is that management of the bar gave Adam a CD which he posted on the internet with the permission of the management.

This server is giving me fits. Tonight, about 1:30am local time, it went into a heavy spin that blocked all access to the forum. Unfortunately, I was out with my GF, her mom, and some other Thais from the village, and had to take them back to their hotel before getting where I could fix it. So, I estimate there was a 2 hour outage from about 1:30am-3:30am local time here on March 17. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will be moving to a new server before April 15. The move is going bit by bit.

What time frame for the party? Afternoon? Evening? Both?

Thank you. I'm glad someone acknowledges they read the accompanying story. These guys are making enemies amongst the Thais and the expats faster than they can come up with excuses for their behavior. IMHO, the whole stormtrooper brigade should be disbanded and demoted to being lonely expats with nothing else to do.

Another outage today. I didn't fix it because I was out shopping. Should be okay now. Still working on the server transfer. It's getting closer, but there will still be some down time while I transfer more files later this week (I hope).

Sorry...I had to stop the forum again. I'm trying to transfer files to the new server while keeping the forum running, but it's just too much for the old processor we are currently running on.

I'll be doing some file operations on the web server tonight (as I have already been doing), that will be slowing the system down. At times, I might have to stop the forum for a while as well.

TJ's having a birthday party on March 3. A huge lesbian show is planned for the evening with contestants from multiple gogos. I think some imported Bangkok dancers will be there as well. Happy Birthday, TJ.

I've been fighting a system slowdown around 5pm (GMT+7) several days of the week. Today, I had to stop the forum twice between 5pm and 6:30pm. Sorry if you were affected by this double outage. The forum will be moving to a faster server sometime during the next month, so hopefully, performance will improve.

I've been there twice now. Both times I've had the taco/enchilada combination. The salsa is nice and spicy, not sweet like some I've had here in Thailand. The refried beans are good... I'll be going back. I'm a fan!

They should be good thru Oct 2009. Might have adjusted them up, I didn't check, but they are still favorable over the published rate (unless they are running some special). As I may have said before, I don't have anything to do with any of these contract rates, nor do I receive anything from board members booking there. It's simply that I convinced the LK Group that we had enough members to treat us as a group, which they have. I've not even reviewed the current contract they sent me. If you guys like the rate, use them, if you don't, then don't.

I don't know of a lodging in their group called the Metro Suite. They have a hotel called Royal Suites and I am pretty sure the FLB deal covers that as well.

jacko, I learned a thing or two from reading your question. I don't know the answer, and since I am planning on an upgrade to the forum software soon, let's wait until it's on the new version to try to figure it out.
