How to get the FLB rate for LK Group Hotels
MM replied to LKHOTELS's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
The board software has changed since the original LKHOTELS post was made. There is no CARD button anymore. Here's how you can contact them to prove you are a member of the board (they want the email to come from PattayaTalk): Go to the original post by LKHOTELS. Click on the member name LKHOTELS. This opens up the PROFILE page. Go to the very bottom of the page, and on the left you will see SEND EMAIL. Click that and fill in your reservation enquiry request. Their email reply (if any) will be sent to the email you have registered with the forum. P.S. bigten, that was some funny story...well, not funny for you, but still a head scratcher. -
The LK Metropole is a good location, and based on the links given to you above, you can see that the rate you got from them is below their published rate and even below the FLB rate (1800/night) for the standard room. They might be suffering from low occupancy, so if you keep pressing them, they might go to 1500, but that would be a special case for you. Good luck.

That's another angle to explore. There's currently a setting to remove inactive sessions after 1 hour, but that doesn't seem to affect much since I leave the computer logged in and idle at home for 8 hours or more at a time. The forum has numerous security checks it can perform to prevent hijacking someone's session, but I have turned most of them off to investigate this problem and make the system more convenient to use.

Now I am logged onto two computers sharing the same IP address via a WIFI connection, so it doesn't appear to be the identifying characteristic of the computer(s) that prevents two simultaneous logins. That feature is available, but I have turned it off to try to determine why logins are being requested frequently. I'm still puzzling it out as well, guys, so if it is happening to you, I apologize. It is happening to me sometimes, but not in a way that I can predict (yet).

o, I think (but am not sure yet), that the new board software is checking the IP address you logged in with, and if it is different, is requiring you to log in again. So, if you have an ADSL connection that reconnects, you might have a new IP address and fall into this area. I tend to log in with 3 or 4 computers with different IP addresses, and have to log in now. I guess it's a security feature.

I wouldn't worry about it. You're unlikely to ever have to produce a license, and if you can't it's probably a small fine (200-400 baht). It's certainly not worth it to try to get a Thai license for a short trip, even if you could meet the residency requirements. That's my take on it, not a legal opinion.

It would be a good idea for nimbus to read the rules for this section: http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34066

Neither, as far as I am concerned. I had to add specific code to the forum software to invoke it.

Sneaky buggers! Actually, it's a service google provides for web hosts to monitor web site activity. It's been in a couple of years now. It shows lots of good stuff, but it's all aggregated, not specific to individual members.

That I am. And I hear from a good source that you'll be cooking some up this week!

Read this topic after post 32 where harro1 had the same problem. He resolved it later in the thread.
-
Noted. Thanks.
-
And, is he the guy that has your CAPS-LOCK key?

Banner stays. Still tweaking colors to get the yellowish style back.
-
I can't really visualize the problem. Can you take a screen shot and attach it to a reply here? Also, when you reply, it's normal (actually, it's good) to be able to read the previous posts.
-
Try refreshing your page with CTRL-F5 and see if that helps. This reloads the page without using your local cache.
-
Did you click on LO-FI Version at the bottom of the screen? That has no formatting, just text. If you see the words FULL VERSION at the top of the page, click on that.
-
Another problem seems to be with the background/foreground color on the "Mark all posts as read" after a "View New Posts". I'm running a long task to hopefully take care of things like that as well as some of the messages with embedded video.
-
Well, that should be easy for you. Just look to see if you're logged in as "Sybarite" or "Arno".
-
I haven't seen any. What are you referring to?
-
Somehow I think you might be telling a fib. Anyway, I thought it was a good way to liven up a technical thread. In fact, one of the things I am hoping for is that the forum software will resize pictures that are too large...I don't know if I've set it up to do that yet though. I'll try it now. Elephants are back on Walking Street!

No shoutbox and minimal ads, so it should be even easier to use.
-
Sorry, no can do. The skin for the old one is not compatible with the new forum software. Anyway, this is good for you if you post on other pattaya forums, because they are all running close to the same code level. PattayaTalk was about 2 years behind them...simpler, but not as many features. And there's no way to go back to the old version without loosing all the posts since I started the conversion. Luddite!

How's that? Keep em coming!
