  1. You pass by it on the left just before you get to Marine Seafood heading into Soi Lucky Star. It's very close to where the hippy guy frequently sells bugs. From a mobile
  2. If you could pick up some Peppermint Altoids to bring to Pattaya, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm attaching a picture of the packaging below. Usually Costco, Sam's, Walmart, and Amazon carry them in a 6 or 12 pack, which is what I would like to get...preferably 12 tins at least. This is the 12 pack version... This is the 6 pack version... Please make sure they are Peppermint 1.76oz tins...no other flavor or size will do. They aren't available here in LOS, and I'm rather fond of them. I'll come to pick them up or meet you where you want. Of course, I'll pay you for them as well. If you can't do this, no problem... Thanks...send me a PM or reply here if you are up for it.
  3. Yes, the restaurant on the opposite side was better IMHO..and it is gone from that location...but (I think) it has risen again as a newer, flashier, cleaner restaurant just across the road...
  4. It's in Marine Plaza between Walking Street and Second Road... Street view (note the name "Marine Seafood Market") https://www.google.co.th/maps/@12.925359,100.872579,3a,75y,262.5h,74.04t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sdBX44wF8JRZIVLRM2W6j-g!2e0!6m1!1e1?hl=en Google map location https://goo.gl/maps/zV0qr
  5. Pretty geeky, eh? From a mobile
  6. Really, I have to wonder about short... Here's something that might be relevant to his OP... from http://www.math.purdue.edu/~eremenko/jokes.html
  7. Certainly Drew Noyes will not be taken seriously or able to continue his schemes under a cloak of respectability from now on by anyone who has read these reports about him. That's going to save some people from further grief and cut his income. From a mobile
  8. Your geekiness is coming through loud and clear. As to your silly question, apparently masquerading as some sort of Big Bang Theory Sheldon-like joke, one answer could be Poles in the right half plane correspond to growing amplitudes; for example, a sine wave that keeps getting louder and louder without bound. That's unstable. Poles in the left half plane correspond to exponentially decreasing amplitudes. https://www.physicsforums.com/threads/understanding-poles-and-zeros.213062/
  9. So you're an engineer. Whoopee.
  10. It's sad that the "foreign criminals" with their police allies, have finally threatened him to the point where he feels he had to leave to keep his family safe. From a mobile
  11. Yes, I think the water is fine here in Pattaya, though I have cleaned my teeth with water in Issan villages as well, and not had any perceived bad effects. Of course, I prefer bottled water or water produced by a reverse osmosis system such as the OP inquired about, but in a pinch, say if I have to take a pill or regularly brushing my teeth, I will drink the tap water. I also make ice cubes in my home using tap water... This is not to say I sit around drinking tap water all day...it's just that it's not been a problem for me to have the occasional small amount without giving it a second thought.
  12. Yes, for real...must be reasonably clean I suppose. I agree, the Thais generally don't do it either. I am not suggesting others do it, but only stating that, for me, the water's just fine.
  13. I drink tap water here in Pattaya..never have had a problem.
  14. LOL..oops! I'm all ragged out from watching two games in the wee hours this morning. Yeah, the Panthers...duh.
  15. BTW, to the OP, I was amazed at Bam Bam Kam's defensive leap over the line when the Broncos were trying to KICK (using the FOOT) the field goal..twice! From a mobile
  16. If you're English, your lot also initially called the game "soccer" before it was imported to the USA. This silly word game crops up every time the word football is used for American football, always started with the same silly question as put by TheFiend this time. Explain to me where the crickets are in your other game, and I might be interested in playing along. Otherwise, get used to the use of the American terms when we use them, rather than getting your panties in a bunch and going off on the same tangent every time...as if you haven't got some strangely named sports as well. From a mobile
  17. Why do you call cricket "cricket" when there are no crickets anywhere in the game? Where are the rugs in "rugby"?
  18. The King travels from Hua Hin to Bangokk by motorcade. http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/362584/king-and-queen-leave-siriraj-hospital-for-klai-kangwon-palace-in-hua-hin http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN0HT05C20141004?irpc=932 His last two trips between the two cities. Still think the roads would be in bad shape? From a mobile
  19. Are you sure you were going to Hua Hin? Maybe you were on some back roads then. The main highways to Hua Hin from BKK are in good condition, just as chang_paarp says...if for no other reason than the royals stay there frequently. I think your comment should be ignored and taken as false for anyone seriously looking for information about travel to Hua Hin from BKK.
  20. I'm dieting...

It's either diet or go buy new clothes!

  21. Where did you get that idea? The main roads from BKK to Hua Hin are in good condition.
  22. It's all finished (until next year, I suppose). From a mobile
