  1. Made a phone call to the hotel and confirmed that the hotel is next to Mecure Hotel. They have 24 hr short distance tuk tuk to bring you around. For instance after some drink at walking street you can just call the hotel they will send their tuk tuk to bring you back to the hotel. You have to pay about 20 bath for each trip. Only standard room has twin beds. Delux rooms are all king size bed.
  2. This restasurant also looks nice, will difinitely check it out !! Thanks
  3. The place looks nice. Anyone been there before? http://www.cuveeloungebar.com/
  4. Called the hotel just now and were told that it was former Pacific Prince Hotel http://www.asiatravel.com/pattaya.html
  5. Has anybody stay here before? All Season Pattaya http://www.allseasonspattaya.com/ Please share with us your experience. Thanks Alan
  6. Used Mr Toom's service last week for two ways airport and Pattaya. Drivers were very punctual, both cars were about ten years old. Safe drive from airport to Pattaya (it took 2 hours due to traffice jam). However, on return trip to airport (it took 1.5 hr no jam at all), on a few occassions the driver talked on the hand phone while driving. On my back to the airport (about 1 PM), there was massive jam on the opposite direction, there were many trucks and heavy vehicles, did not know what cause the jam. I assume that we should avoid travelling during this time of the day.
  7. If you stay at Sukumvit and your hotel is near the BTS train station, it is very convient and fast if you take a train to the Ekemai station. From there you can catch an expres aircon bus (about 125 bath) easily as it leaves every half an hour and take less than two hours to reach Pattaya. I prefer bus over taxi, becasue it is more comfortable and safer. I took this route in August 06, it took me less than 2 1/2 to reach Pattaya from the Nana train station at Sukhumvit. Taking taxi is definitely better if you enjoy fast speed and skilful driver who are able to speed and chat with friend
  8. You mean 106 bath by airconditioner bus from the new airport to LOS. If so, how long the drive from the new airport to Jomtien? Is the bus similar to the one from Ekamai to LOS which runs every half an hour and is very convenient (non stop) and much safer and conformtable? I expect the traveling time to be less than 1 1/2 hour as previously the bus from Ekamai tool only 1 1/2 hour. Thanks mate
  9. My battery is due for recharge next month, but I will still want to wait for a few days more and monitor the situation !!! Very sad that my girl will miss my tender loving care and also my T
  10. JetStar flying to the new airport on 15 September 2006 ahead of other airlines!! http://www.jetstar.com/sg-header/ask-jetstar.html#bkk
  11. When I was there two weeks ago, Dynasty Inn was 980 baths per night (minimum stay is 3 nights)!!!
  12. Just came back from Pattaya yesterday. As this is my first experience (in the past I used to take taxi or mini van) I would like to share some of my experience for the trip to and from Bangkok to Pattya by bus from Ekamai : I took the sky train from Nana station (I stayed at Ambassador Hotel) at 11.00 hr arrived at EKamai station 11.10 hr. Took only less than 5 min from the train station to the bus terminal. Bought the bus ticket at 11.15 for departure at 11.30 It is an aircondion bus at 117 bath per ticket. The bus departed punctually at 11.30 and arrvied at North Pattaya bus terminal
  13. Fully agree. I stayed at LK Metrople only two nights last year, cant remember much (remember only the sexy and very friendly receiptionist) I think it is easy to get the Bath bus to Walking street or Jomtien from there. However, I am not sure whether it is easy to get the Bath bus from Walking street back to Soi Buakow unless you are willing to pay more. I still prefer to stay around Soi 3, 4 and 13 which are much more pleasant and easy to move around
  14. I am buying 4 return tickets from Singapore to Barcelona. A search to the following websites showed a vast different in price. As I have had no dealing with them before, I would appreciate your expert advice on the following questions: Departure Singapore on 6 June 2006 to Barcelona Return from Barcelona on 17 June 2006 to Singapore Price Quoted by Expedia.com 1 adult $ 523.00 Taxes & Fees $45.15 Booking Fee $5.00 Total $573.15 Price Quoted by Zuji.com.sg 1 adult = SGD 850.00 Taxes and Surcharges 19.00 Se
  15. I used Mr T about 5 times. His charges: 850 + Parking fee at BKK airport + tolls,I always pay less than 1,050 Bath. Mr T has a few drivers working for him. So far, my experience with all his drivers are good. The cars they use are average and not brand new one. The only problem with Mr T is that he never reply to my emails despite my repeated reminders I always have to call him one day before arrival date to remind him.
  16. Bought some accounting software from TUC COM recently based on the following information provided by this board members. This is a shopping mall next to Day & Night hotel. Just ask the Bath bus driver to stop you near Day & Nigh Hotel you can easily locate this TUC COM mall. Search below website for more details http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.ph...w+computer+mall Good luck! Cheers
  17. Mike Orchid Resort does not have safe in the room. Poor receiption service probably due to the reason that the hotel is mainly cater for Korean and Chinese tour group. It was quite noisy during my stay and I moved out after the second day. Your can have 3/4 persons in the room as the room and bed are big and spacious. Prima Bella is nicer and cheaper and has safe in the room.
  18. There is no direct flight from Singapore to Pattaya. However you can fly from Singapore to Phuket then connect flight from Phuket to Pattaya ( Utapao airport) I understand Bangkok Airways has daily flight for this route. From Singapore to Phuket, the one way fare is normally less than AUD70 (includes all taxes). Check out on budget airlines Tiger Air, JetsStarasia If you fly from 1 April 06 to 31 May 06 Tiger's special one way's fare is less than AUD9 (excludes taxes) http://www.tigerairways.com/home/ http://www.jetstarasia.com/
  19. Mrs Nuansawat McMahon at N.P.K Tour and Travel Agency, Pattaya may be able to help you to secure a good deal for this hotel. Her email: npk@ptty.loxinto.co.th Web addres: www.npkpattaya.com The staff at her office can speak good English, you can call them directly (Tel : 038-429528) in case of need. Do let us know if you can get a better deal through her. I had no chance to ask them about the guest policy as there were lot of guests waiting for the check in when I was there touring around the hotel. I suggest that you email the hotel directly to confirm this.
  20. You may wish to try this brand new hotel www.bestbeachpattaya.com which I discovered on my last day in Pattaya last week. Did not have a chance to look at the room because there were all fully book. According to them, all rooms have safety box. It is at Soi 5 Judging from the buffet breakfast displayed (it is much more better than Prima Bella Villa and the Mike Orchid Resort at Soi 4 which are also quite new)and the nice lobby, other facilities as well as attractive promotion price I think this could be more value for money as compared to Prima Bella Villa and Mike Orchid Resort.
  21. Hi Deadman Sent a request to asialtravel yesterday, have yet to receive their reply. Will call them later if no reply. One more question, is the size of the bed of the superior double is similar to the deluxe room ie. has enough space for 3/4 persons (i am more concern about the size of the bed rather than the room) ? Note that aisatravel has an offer for Mercure at the price of 1,200 bath, that is another option for me! Thanks
  22. Booked a superior double room at Wing B for 3 nights next week @ 900 bath through Sawadee Sea View Hotel Booking. They requested for full payment for 3 nights 2,700 bath by credit card immediately so as to ensure my booking. Accroding to them all the rooms had been fully booked. Would appreciate your advice as to whether I should pay through the "secure website", (they claimed). If not, any other suggestion? Aslo, what is the difference between a superior double and a deluxe room (the deluxe seems to be in high demand). Thanks
  23. Have booked a car with Mr T, (850 Bath + tolls + airport parking). Anyone want to share the cost ?
  24. Remember to bring Mr T's handphone in case you can't find his driver upon arrival and aslo prepare to wait as his driver were late one two occasions. On one occasion, I had to wait for about an hour for his driver.
  25. I used Mr T twice last year, reasonably good car and good drivers I paid 850 Bath + parking fee and toll fee total to about 1,100 Bath from BKK airport to Pattaya. I booked through phone as Mr T did not reply to my repeated email. To be on the safe side call him one day before arrival date (He has a few drivers working for him, he can not give you the mobile phone of his driver as such) also, you have to ensure that the driver knows where is the right terminal and right spot to meet you. Good luck! Cheers
