Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

I have about 20 real estate agencies bookmarked. Found them all through Google, just go for Pattaya Real Estate and they will all show up. Rentals and sales all available. Not sure if they update websites (some do) but at least it will give you a good idea of prices & availability. Suggest you stay a couple of nights in a hotel and look around to find a place you want to stay for longer time.

Do Thai's fly cheaper on Thai airline?
Michelangelo replied to Dennism's topic in Airline Discussion
No TG pays same price as "falang"! No discounts. -
In case you take the PP route, flights from PP to Siem Reap leave 3 times a day. Round trip US $ 130.

Never dealt with Fair Properties, but good to know. Thanks for info Gabor & Torrenova.

Wrong! I am NOT a real estate agent, but a potential buyer looking for a nice condo. I would be happy to share the name of the "good" real estate agency, but I do not want to be accused of making publicity and/or being a devious bastard! I have come across bad agents as well! There must be more than 100 agents in Pattaya/Jomtien area, good ones and bad ones. If possible at all, I wold prefer avoid them completely, so if anybody has a nice condo for sale, preferably in Jomtien ... let me know.

I disagree. Went to Pattaya recently and was taken care of by professional real estate agent. Visited properties I had traced on their web site and they were available for the listed price. I visited about 6 or 7 properties, but did not find what I wanted. No problem at all, agent suggested I keep an eye on their web site and come again for further visits.

Thanks a lot for suggestions. Much appreciated!

Will be opening a bank account in Pattaya in near future. Any info on best bank in town? (service, facility opening accounts, ATM, Bank charges, Internationally connected, etc.) Thanks for useful advice

Cut it short! I have more than 10 years to go for retirement, so I decided to cut it down to 2. Enough is enough ...

In Jomtien, LA ROYALE seems to be the upmarket tower being built right now. Info can be found on all real estate agents web sites.

Recently visited a house with private pool. Owner said he has a maintenance contract covering daily cleaning, chemicals, etc for 1,500 Bht/month.

To Residents of Pattaya: Is there any good (I mean really good) school for English in Pattaya? I am looking for a school with native english teachers where my (Thai) friend could really get an upgrade on her basic knowledge. If you know about a good one, please let me know. If website available, even better. Thanks in advance

Rengoh, I disagree! I fly to Bangok at least once every two months and mostly fly Air France. Nice service and the best plane food you can get on European carriers, except Swiss. Much better than any US airline (and I have flown on most of them!)

Did a search on the forum, but do not find a lot being said about Naklua. Any forum members living there? I am considering buying a condo in Pattaya/Jomtien area. Is Naklua a good option? Thanks for comments.
