Stephen I too was there in Oct last and never got below 72/1 highest 74+/1,like you I am returning again (25 days) and will change money again in Pattaya,Also on arrival at Airport as I have found that in general the airport rate has been on a par With other places.Really 63/1 is just a rip off.

Hi Guys Maybe some of you more regular punters than I could enlighten me as to just why so many hotels,particulary in this area seem to have developed this ignorant trait of advertising their rooms for rent all across the various web-sites of Pattaya,extolling their virtues and very competitive prices,particulary for the longer stayers,and then COMPLETELY IGNORE your requests time and again either for a booking,confirmation,availability and location etc. This appears to me to completely defeat the object of advertising in the first place,surely they cannot be full at this time of the ye

Hi Neener I agree that the LKMansion certainly looks 1st class on it's website,however they need a swift kick up the arse in there office staff.Have sent 3 booking requests in as many weeks and the only response has been their automatic one.

Just recieved "Cheapseats "latest weekly newsletter same deal for $858 Plus taxes but again with 2 week lock out (Songkran) and limit of 28 days in Thailand.Have E-mailed them for total price including taxes/charges.Once again valid until Nov payment before April 30th. Wow that $999 fare is definately worth hanging out for a few days for.Will telephone Flight Centre tommorrow to accertain their position on the matching or beating of the "Cheapseats price of $858.

Hi Kiwis just came on-line the first of the Thaiair specials as follows. Auck-Bangkok direct return including all charges and taxes $NZ1082 available through Travel centre must book prior to April 30th and valid till November. Even cheaper if booked direct through Thai's own web-site $1044 but available only till 20th March! Roll on the 25th April!

Whilst I agree in principle with your comments I would point out that the face of Soi Bukhaew is changing rapidly and I forsee within the next two years it becoming a major source of fairly priced accomodation in Pattaya.Although as you correctly say the present "Hotels etc" are not flashy,plus a swimming pool is still a rarity the standards and prices particulary for the 1 month visitor are very very good and in a majotity of cases the rooms are the equal,in some cases better equiped than their counterparts elsewhere.Included also in the prices are newer,bigger rooms that come with large frid

They are having a promotion at the moment and yes they do have rooms available at 15000 Bht a month,BUT electis extra,water is extra 50 BHT a unit,pay for room cleaning at 200 bht a time. Pay in advance one month plus one month deposit linen changed only twice a week.So really IMO not such a good deal as thought,also require credit card details in advance. These details were E-mailed to a friend of mine just 3 days ago!

I have to agree,now IMHO they are getting greedy and pricing themselves out of the market,bearing in mind that they are located in the Soi Bukhaew area and not in the high end locale. I was recently quoted 22,500 bht for a stay of 1 month.

Don't wish to rude but this thread was posted by Mr toom and IMHO should only be used to post about his service. Should you wish to recommend another service I feel sure that we all would be interested to hear of it albeit on a separate thread. I make these remarks in consideration for Mr Toom who is one of the rare Thais who has taken the time and trouble to post on this "Farang" dominated site,and appears to be providing a top service in this very competative market,and therefore deserves as much support as we can give him!

Hi guys I have two problems/questions to ask you being as this computer business is still relitively new to me and without help will remain so. Conley With all due respect my friend you are not in Scotland,and cannot imagine that you would get this taxi price (even the high 1100 baht = 16 gbp) anywhere in the UK.

I used the 800bht service as well,booked on Soi Bukhaew giving 500 deposit,arrived at hotel on time,paid 200 extra for tolls,straight to airport (metered taxi) no problems.
