1,200 baht for taxi from bangkok to pattaya?
stevoman replied to toom's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Feileacan Congratulations I really must admire your sense of fair play for assisting this poster with a translation. Subject to no derogetory (sic) comments on service provided I will Toon a chance on my next trip in April. -
Stayed ther last Oct/Nov on Mark's recommendation for 4 weeks,I was very satisfied with ALL aspects ,well furnished large room and as I wanted a 1st floor room the only available one had no a/c but a very efficient ceiling fan plus owner provided me with new standard fan.All this was adequate and at no time did I miss the a/c.The total charge inc elect/water was 8000 BHt and was very satisfactory. Rooms are equiped with fridge/sat tv/dvd/sofa+chairs/big bed and maid service linen change everyday. I did occasionally hear the footsteps in the hall and a slamming door on occasions but WTF it

If I am reading you correctly you haven't left yet, does this mean you are still in Pattaya,if so Amazing, why not simply go and ask them???

IMO some of you guys should simply lighten up a lot and consider that this is posted in the FUNNIES SECTION,I am sure that most of you are in fact familiar with Mark and realise that he has posted a lot of good information regarding Pattaya, and unless you are absolutely stupid there is no way that he could be considered a "Newbie" by any stretch of the imagination, especially with 1300 posts to his credit. Whilst I can see a certain amount of concern as expressed by some posters that a true newbie could be misguideded by the tongue in cheek advice given on occasion, there is no way that a

Welcome to the board my friend.I would suggest that you spend a few hours investigating the many excellent subjects contained herein and then post explicit queries on the appropiate sites ie "Newbies". You will find that almost all of the members here are only to willing to advise you.

Heh Longy Suggest you go back to bed and get up on the right side next time.I'm sorry if somehow I have managed to upset you in some way,but WTF your problem is I don't know and what is more couldn't care less.I simply asked for any assistance from members and it appears that you and you alone have for whatever reason chosen to take umbrage, but you know what F.U. I do indeed have a telephone and have been in touch with Flight Centre and others and am indeed on their mailing lists, however the websites and e-ticket sites FYI are of no use to me as I do not possess or have a

Could you name the place over the road that is your next trip also contact details /web site if applicable. Thanks

Valentino xxx With all due respect I would again refer you to their web-site which to say the least is rather confusing. As you rightly point out on their tariff pages it does indeed state that the cleaning and linen change is done twice a week, however on the 1st page of their website it clearly states that these two services are done DAILY,which is the case I don't know but I am quite sure that I for one would not care for a twice weekly service particulary for the towel service. When I obtain a reply will post true answer.

Mate Obviously I did not see the other post, however I feel that I must thank you for pointing out the error of my ways. You must have even more time on your hands than even I do!

Hi Mark Sent an E-mail asking those very questions today, had reply stating they will answer my queries shortly so will advise you of same asap.BTW any news about future of C&B after they had to demolish room 13 recently, apparently word is that it was past renovation!

Hi guys Considering this place amongst others for a months stay next year,so any comments for or against truly appreciated ie Guest friendly/location/safe area etc. Thanks.
-
Just a couple of points to be aware of about this establishment. I have recently attempted to reserve a room at this place, which incidently I am familiar with, for a period of one month commencing in April next year.According to their own website the daily rate is 450 bht per day as this they consider to be the low season. However the reply that I recieved was that the rate was now 550 bht per day in the low season,(No mention of high season rate) and for a stay of 29 days a net charge of 15950 bht!!!.This bear in mind is in the Soi LKMetro area in the low season.Plus they were unwilling t

Stuck in High Season WITHOUT a reservation

Just turn right on leaving the Areca then first left on to Soi LKMetro, hundreds of rooms available everywhere at price range of 400/700 per night for short stay. -
Hi guys I have just returned after having spent 1 month at The Cock and Bull and because I did not want A/C I paid just 8000 baht for 1 month. The rooms were VERY well furnished TV/Dvd/big fridge etc,and the rooms were cleaned on all but 3 days when no cleaner available.Security was no problem also and the linen was changed every day. Like so many tourists that tend to congregate in that side of town i too am of the older age group (65) but I had no problem walking down to 2nd road for the bus every dayand the quality and veriation of food available all around you at ve

Hi Floyd Sorry that we missed each other on the way out on the 11th,I was in fact sitting one row in front of you in 32K,what a shit flight that was in all respects,ie broken seat, ran out of piss, and shitty food. I too trtavelled back on the new A340/5 and what a great flight in all respects from customer service/food was great/and have to agree with you that provided this service is continued feel sure it's a winner.

another newbie to los needing help !!
stevoman replied to hawkeyes's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Dungheap Not a flame at all but am curious as to why you recommend changing all cash at airport and then travelling to Pattaya with it. I to am a newbie (at least to Pattaya) and am arriving late at night, and the last thing on my mind is that I want a large amount of Baht secreted on my person whilst connecting to Pattaya. Please elaborate. -
ON-my-way Please see PM.

Hi guys Arriving Pattaya in November for a stay of 4 weeks and am seeking accomodation.I have read on various boards about the proliferation of building both on this Soi and the surrounding areas,so I seek your advice on same for a months stay. My requirements are pretty straight forward and are as follows. Between 8000-10000 BHT for a monthly stay. A/C,TV,Guest friendly,Good bed and good security. If any of you could be of assistance I would be grateful for advice,E-mail/Web-site etc. Thank you.

Suitcase Never ever work as people would simply purchase ther requirements the next day or at some later time. This would have no effect on the greedy oil companies,as they know sooner or later the status quo will kick in. Now if everybody or a majority just stopped using their vehicles for 24 hours then that indeed would hurt the oil moguls,or if public transport was used solely for say 2 days then yes this would have a meaningful affect.
