Holy Hell... that was sick... LOL Don't think I've ever been that drunk, or bored; and thankfully! Hopefully I never will be either... You owe me a pint though, since I didn't gag... I did get a laugh out of it though. However, before I drink anything concerning the payup for this, I want to open the bottle myself!!!

That's a famous Japanese personality named Yinling, who is actually from Taiwan I believe, eating a slice of yakiniku (bbq beef over rice) which has been digitally edited to appear as a... well you know what it looks like. I stayed there last June. I found it a nice little place, out of the way, quiet and clean. The price was great, as I was paying 750 baht a nite for a queen sized room. Very comfortable, and being on Soi 10, it was just far enough away to feel relaxed when not indulged too deeply in all the action. Walking distance, easily, to anything when you're sober, but a trek when totally shitfaced drunk. LOL The ladies I brought home didn't seem offended by my residence, and the hotel staff were very "girl friendly"; with one night I returned early (just to shower before I went out again) and one of the bell-boys out front seemed concerned that I was without company and offered to go retrieve something for me.

It's good to see people with heart doing the little things that mean so much...

I don't think you'll find much discount on the electronic device itself, but the software for it will indeed be a "steal" in LOS compared to elsewhere...

Some things just weren't meant to be. It seems odd how the owner could see something bad coming though... I wonder what ramifications would have occured if something would have been done to disrupt the course of nature, and this baby elephant was saved? Hmm.....

Always being the suspicious one, I wonder if it was all a ruse to set you up for the "oh someone must have spiked my drink again" excuse later... Hmmm.. No.. Nevermind.. they could never be that devious...

Hell I paid 750 per night at the Sawasdee Sea View. Not a glamorous place, by high standards, but it had a big bed, television and a clean bathroom. Suited my needs just fine. The more money I saved on hotel costs, the more I had to spend stupidly elsewhere...

That part I never really understood, lemons... A jealous BG... As soon as you're not there, they are in bed with as many as they can, to make their money and have thier good time, and we're not only supposed to be understanding and supportive of this, but non-jealous because "its their job"... But, like you said, heaven forbid you get seen walking by her bar with another BG in tow... Then you become the "butterfly asshole".... Odd...

Yep, I agree, rb... It's all depending on what you're looking for. Like rb said, get you a room, and head downtown. All the options will be right there, and all you have to do is ask around a little if you're looking for something specific that isn't "in your face" while you roam... Best of luck!! ** If you read some of the links here, like the FLB link above, you'll see there's certain nites where you can meet up with other BM's, in certain places at certain times (no bar or bargirl discussions...hehe). Some of these folks might be able to offer suggestions on where to haunt also. Of course, hope you join the members section of the Board here and post a good trip report after your return, cherry boy... You'll find a lot of more in-depth information in that section as well that will help you "stay out of trouble" on your trip.

Wow.. Some Thai lady is sitting happy about right now... She got his money, bought a couple houses, and he's in jail so can't come get it back... Someone wasn't thinking this plan out very well... LOL

I haven't decided on my room yet either. I have a few in mind, also including Sandy Springs, but have yet to make a firm choice...

If it's not in stumbling distance or can't be reached by a baht-bus, I don't want to go...

Or you could have The Classroom or the Kitten Club/Penthouse pick you up.. :) Hopefully the little one will be sleepy!

Man that's gotta suck... I can remember being that drunk though. The last time I was that lit up in Pattaya, and holding onto a swaying wall (well it was swaying to me anyway) I was lucky enough to have a BG who was taking good care of me and got me back to my room safely. I don't remember the trip back to the hotel whatsoever, but apparently, I'm told, I was having a great time... LOL

I've gone in just about all seasons, and ALWAYS had a great time. There are times when prices go up, and times when tourism is down, but anytime of the year I'd say is great to visit.... I'm going next month!!!

...and, I'll agree though, that bar is popular with blacks, and the ladies there are quite receptive to them as well there. That doesn't make it racial, but rather honest. If I were black, and wanting to know where I would have the best time, I wouldn't mind someone telling me where to go in that sense. -- And I've partied in there myself, not being black mind you, but still had a great time. I never noticed any kind of prejudice among the ladies towards me because I'm white either. In fact, I can't remember any bar in Pattaya having any prejuidce against me. If you walk in any bar alone, or with other guys, you WILL get a different reception though than if you walk in there escorted by a "bodyguard" female.. lol

Now why didn't I think of this?? Let someone else pay for your trip and all you do is get them drunk and "show them around" the nightlife? Geezzzee... I'm starting a new business! LOL

I don't mind the slow traffic on Beach Road while sitting in the back of a Baht Bus... It gives me more time to take in the sights some...

I have my own version of "The Thai Girl who broke my heart" , but it's not all too different than the hundreds that have been written/spoken before. I won't go into details, other than to say I blame my own ignorrance and my own overwhelming desire to BELIEVE the attachment was genuine verses being played by a "player". It's taken me some time to deal with the emotional aspect of having been a "victim" or "target" , but alas I hope I've become stable enough to deal with it on my own terms without being too cynical. -- It will take some time to again accept or trust anyone too intimately , but I'm trying my best not to have let it change who I am or what I think of myself. And, as the saying goes "hate the game, not the player", I'm also trying to do my best not to despise the individual who "played me", for I understand her situation and her need to do as she must to support herself and her family. I just won't be as blind next time (next month actually!! yea!!) and keep things on a "lets have a great time while I'm here" basis...
