Hi, Guys! Maybe some of you have noticed that I haven't done any report from my 2012 trip earlier this year. Reason being I've been busy working and haven't found the time or enthusiasm to write any! Anyway... got sacked from my last seasonal job a week ago and being at home living on unemployment benefit, I suddenly got plenty of time left. I managed to pull myself together to edit and cut the reminder of my film-material, and now I have only the trip-report left to write down, but somehow I've lost the spirit! So here is just a brief review of my last trip, most of my trips are going after the same plans anyway so no big different from last year's trip and year before that! 2012 Travelplan: Trip lasted from January 9 until June 12 . I flew with Austrian Airlines from Copenhagen to Bangkok via a short transit in Vienna. Took a bus from Suwannapoom Airport to Pattaya. Stayed at following places and dates: Pattaya 10 January-16 March Tycoon Place Serviced Apartments Patong, Phuket 17 March-7 April Amethyst Residence http://www.agoda.com..._residence.html The Chambre http://www.agoda.com...bre_patong.html Georgetown, Penang 8 April-11 April Mingood Hotel, http://www.hotelmingood.com/ Kuala Lumpur 12 April-14 April Hotel Sentral Pudu, http://www.hotelsentralpudu.com.my/ Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui 15 April-21 April Arina Boutique Residence http://www.arinaboutiqueresidence.com/ Bangkok 22 April-25 April (I also did four more mini-trips to Bangkok on 10-13 February, 12-14 May, 26-29 May and 6-8 June.) Monaco Hotel, http://monacobangkok.com/ Pattaya 26 April-11 June Tycoon Place Serviced Apartments Bus back to Bangkok International Airport I flew with Swiss Air via a short transit in Zurich and landed in Copenhagen on 12 June. Main purpose of trip: This was my 25th anniversary trip to Thailand, first trip was in 1987. Except for some R&R, my main goal with this trip was to finally have my teeth fixed! I'd been waiting 8 years to go to a dentist, because of my fear of pain and high expenses! When I suddenly inherited 100000 baht when an old aunt died a couple of years ago, I had no reasons to prolong the wait anymore, but this was it! So one month before the end of my trip I finally pulled myself together and after some research found a dentist and a clinic that I felt I could trust: Dr Jay at Pattaya Smile Dental Clinic http://www.dentalpattayabeach.com/ After almost a month of work I finally had 7 new Zirconia crowns fitted, and also had some other smaller work done, like changing old amalgam fillings to white composite. Total cost was 96000 baht. I'm considering putting in a couple of more crowns next year. Because of this I didn't get involved in as much GoGo-hopping as other years to save some money, and I didn't barfine as many girls as well. I only had 8 girls for the whole 5 month trip, of which three were new ones and the rest old regulars. Barfined my girls from following gogos: Pattaya: SuperBaby, SuperGirl, Misty's Bangkok: Rainbow 2 Rainbow 4, Patong: Suzie Wong's Koh Samui: GB Lounge Barfines 6-700 baht and 2000 baht for ST. This trip I also went to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia for 3 days, I hadn't been there since 1997. Did a lot of normal touristy sightseeing stuff and have a lot of photos and videos to show, so I won't bother you with more boring talk but let the pictures and videos speak for themselves! It's doesn't have anything to do about my trip in itself that's why I post it here out of a trip-report. End of my trip in June I watched this event in Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya: A video filmed at Ripley's "Believe It or Not" Museum in Pattaya Thailand, during their 17th anniversary on 9 of June 2012, at which they had invited the "World's Tallest Man" Mr Sultan Kösen from Turkey! He's standing tall at 2,51 cm and is the current tallest man in the world, that has been approved by Guiness World of Records. http://en.wikipedia....i/Sultan_Kösen At this anniversary show was also some of Thailand's Guiness Book of record holders like, The Scorpion Queen, The King of Centipedes, The Cobra King, The Werewolf Girl, The Fried Chicken Man and Thailand's Tallest Girl . All bars, gogos and discos were closed last night here in Patong Beach, Phuket, because of the Chakri-day. Supposed to be open tonight, although the beerbars along Soi Bangla that usually are open even in the daytime were still closed at 14:00 when I walked by today!? Hope bars are opened tonight because it's my last night in Patong and Thailand for a week, flying to Penang and Malaysia tomorrow to make a visa-shopping- escape the songkran-trip! Bars are closed again tomorrow 8 April for the Princess Funeral, not sure for how many days? Phuket Bike Week has been moved to 20 - 22 April, usually it takes place just a few days before Songkran.
