  1. I was told you can take 20k the pull your card, start again and take another 20k, was told from the bank girls. I think you can take a total of 50k per day. 1x20k 1x20k 1x10k
  2. I take out 20k in one ATM transaction from the "K" bank every time with no problems
  3. Just take a photo with your phone and or a color paper copy
  4. Ok, I also will be there if you are going to have it.
  5. I do have a lease agreement valid till 2016 but i don't live there (Long story about tax) I don't think i should use that.? I can get the owner of the Hotel to sort something out as i am a long term renter and i do know the owner and staff very well. My mail even goes there, so no problems there i think Yes, the multi-entry is what i will need as i am going to be in and out of Thailand as much as i am with the BG's.
  6. OK. Thanks guys, I got it now and all should be good. I have Just 1 Question: I have been living in a Hotel for the last 10 years, the same one. Will this be a problem with the Visa.?
  7. And what would be the limit if I simply popped my Thai ATM card into an ATM machine here in the UK? Multiple times.... over several days. I don't know about the UK, but in Australia, i think you can draw $500 AUD per day max on your ATM card, not too sure about the amount but $500 rings a bell for me. So it would take some time to get back all your money (Say, 30k AUD) from the thai account and then the exchange rate would bite into to that as well.
  8. Hey Guys, Well, I hope i didn't start a shit fight here about this but i am taking in all the information from you all and thanks. Ok, Who has a Retirement visa with the Multi-entry for 1 year (Call it what we want but the 1 year multi stay visa/permit) Could that person or people tell me if you did this in Pattaya or at home.? Also, what did you need do have to get this.? What I want to do is: I want to be able to stay in Pataya/Thailand for the whole 1 year, and if needed, travel out to other countrys as i want, maybe 6 times in that 1 year. Thanks,
  9. Damm, Only 5000 baht, is that for 12 months as i was quoted from a visa company something like 22,000 baht and that was about 12 months ago and a special discounted price. I can't see the costs amount to be 17,000 baht.?
  10. All the increased bar fines are just bullshit. If everybody just stopped paying them, they would come down. I know the bars need to make money but lets be fair about this. Freelancers are going to get a lot of work and the BG's are going to loose out. Guy's just can't afford these prices every night.
  11. Does anybody know the cost of the "Visa-O retirement" first up cost and then per year after that. Thats if issued in Pattaya
  12. Yep, its looking that way as i am over 50 (Only as young as the woman you feel) and thats between 20 and 30 LOL I will be checking it out very soon and will post all the information about it. Thanks guys.
  13. Hey C.T., You seem to be a person of wisdom, so i have a question for you. Right now i am working overseas on a 28 on x 28 off roster, I have been staying/living in Pattaya on my time off (25 days a time) due to my travel. I am thinking of giving up working and will want to stay in Pattaya sometimes longer than the 1 month entry stamp, maybe 3 to 5 months at a time, I still want to travel back to Australia now and again to see my friends. What type of visa do you recommend that i will need, I have a thai bank account with way over 800k thai baht and for a long time. Any inf
  14. Just remember that you can transfer into Thailand but to get it out, the limit is 50,000 Baht per day Only. If you transfer money to Thailand and sign a form that its for a Condo (Transfer say 30,000 USD) then you can transfer the 30,000 USD out in one time, so i have been told. Same when leaving Thailand, only 50,000 baht cash with you when leaving at airport, see the signs.
  15. I also was wondering about that. What i understand about this type of visa is: You must have 800,000 THB in a thai bank for a min of 3 months, I didn't know about any pension or income as if retired and you don't work and too young to get the pension, no money coming in to your bank account. I did go to a visa company a while ago and talked to them about this, All i needed was the 800k in the thai bank, no other doc's needed so don't know. I am going to the immigration in Pattaya on about the 24-Sep and check it all out. Once i have done this i then will put all the details on this
  16. Below is the answers to getting a retirement Visa in Pattaya, this is from a friend who worked at a Visa company before she changed jobs. She says go direct to the immigration and no need to use a Visa company. No..not a problem for that! But you need to take your passport, book bank (have 800,000 THB more than 3 months) so you already have, letter from the bank for guarantee, statement from Australia (how much your salary or pension come in for a month) take original and copy of all. But now I don't know how much for fee and then not forget to get multiple re-entry coz
  17. Hey Guys, If i wanted a 12mth stay in Thailand Visa, what would be the best to apply for.? Also the cost and what information would i need to supply for this.?
  18. FLB was the first place i had a drink in Pattaya in the year 2001, was rocking back then.
  19. No incrrease needed as i have seen people giving the drivers 100 baht for a 10 baht trip. The reason they don't stop for you is that they are looking for a group to pick up and charge them 5000% more if they can. One time a guy and his wife (Farlang) stopped the bus i was on alone and asked the driver how much to a hotel (Only 5 min drive) he said 1000 baht and they said yes. The driver kicked me off the bus and took them. The guy did tell me what he was going to pay but i couldn't warn him as the driver was already next to me telling me to get off. (Som Nar Nar Him) See this all too m
  20. Dammmm, I fly Thai sometimes 4 time a month, and i "do" fly 2 times every month (Work and back) Maybe its just a matter of time for me.?
  21. One thing is that i am Luck, I have investments in Australia which Pays me in AUD and my work i get paid in USD, so i just change the AUD or USD as to which one is the best rate at the time.
