I know this is kind of an old thread and I have read over the website and reviews and threads with as much information as I can. However this hotel is quite new and I like the location and the price. Has anyone stayed here recently? It seems the number of threads regarding this subject is thin as it is so new.

Wow, didn't see any threads about this location so I thought I'd start a general one. I just stayed at the Panviman about a month ago. Cost? Way too much 5300 baht but I didn't care as it was only for 3 nights. There are much cheaper to the same in cost on this island, you just gotta search. This resort is quite nice. It seems we were about the youngest people in the whole resort and we got a lot of looks when we were parading around with our friends. I just stayed here in the begining of this month and it was 1800 for the larger in the new wing. 1200 for the smaller room in the new wing. 750 for a room in the old wing. I stayed in the 1200. From what I can see from their website, these rooms do not change in price according to seasons. However, if you ask me this hotel is a dump. However for location and 1200 baht and a in-room safe what do you expect. Also the items in the mini-bar are pretty cheap, laundry is cheap.

I have to agree here, I got sick along the ways in Pattaya and I think that there are not many if any hotels that clean this air filter. Now when you have constant mongers and BG's from all over recirculating their infections and germs through these, they need to be cleaned or you take your risk to me.

Really? Thanks for the input the safety box is at the reception. I don't like that aspect very much at all, if you are coming in late at night the last thing you want to constantly remember is stop at the fron desk to drop off this and that. Also you have to worry a lot more about magical disappearing personal items.

Did anyone stay her recently, or can anyone provide feedback? I only found reviews in hotel reviews. However I know people sometimes don't wan't to post there cause I noticed when I tried to put a review you have to register even though I already am. Can someone please help?

1000 baht a night. All I know is when I went in Feb-March of '05 Sai Kaew was already up around 2000 a night, not sure what you can find. You may have to search yourself some. I didn't even find a hotel that cheap in Pattaya and you have to remember that Koh Samet is a very tourist driven economy so have fun trying to find a room for that rate.

Are you sure about that? I just left Patts on Friday and my friend was staying here and he said he seen the hotel staff not let a BG eat and got turned away from Breakfast.

I'm quite sure that the Muay Thai boxers who are boxing the falangs in this video are not trying to their fullest and maybe ex-champs and what not. I have heard from numerous sources that Muay Thai is one of the best fighting styles. The style was derived from martial arts and adapted by the Thai people to create their own style. FYI they said that the style Bruce Lee had the most difficulty fighting was against Muay Thai.

Just to let you know, I am going to Koh Chang soon so I am quite interested in Koh Chang and I was reading www.iamkohchang.com and he said that the Cookies Resort reopened on 12/31.

I am no camera expert and my answer may be kind of bias as I just purchased a Cannon SD 300 earlier this year. The Cannon SD 400 has a higher MP rating however I heard all in all for the money the SD 300 is a better camera. The really impressive thing I like about this camera is the size. It is so small I'm worried about losing it. And one of the big reasons I made this purchase was for my trip in January.
