Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

  1. 3000 they told me 1800 for May-June. Their posted price on their site is 1800, but maybe they changed. I booked a standard room. They never asked me single or double and from the reviews and other sources I was not aware there is a single/double here though that could be wrong as well. Maybe you should try to e-mail them and see what they tell you. Up to you.
  2. The high/low season I find very strange in Bangkok as well, as you pointed out the prices do not drop dramatically. Depending on what type of activities you are looking for I would suggest the Swiss Grottino or Majestic Suites. But judging from your post I am not even clear as to whether you actually need a room or not in BKK.
  3. I booked in May-June. Did you try another computer? Either in a cafe or a friends? I bet it works there. That would point to probably something in your settings. Are you using Internet Expolorer? or one of the safer routes? I use Firefox, but if I have problems linking to a site and I'm sure of the site I use internet explorer.
  4. I'm not totally sure, but I hope they don't got no Joiner fee. I'm pretty sure on the reviews section of this hotel it states that. However I have not stayed here yet so I'm not sure. Soi 13 has so many hotels on that soi and around that I wouldn't think they would make such a policy as that would surely turn away quite a few tourist.
  5. Nope, works for me too. I was going to suggest www.whitehousecondotel.com but your link works also.
  6. Mr. Toom, I have a very similar question to this one. How much would it be to for a mini-van transfer from Bangkok to Pattaya?
  7. Thanks for the info, that soi seems so confusing with so many damn hotels. but IMHO is one of the better locations to stay as it is so centralized.
  8. This definitely sounds like an interesting place, I may have to check it out as well when I'm at Whitehouse next month. Speaking of which Samsonite, is this hotel on the same side as the Lek or the Whitehouse in reference when walking from Beach Road to 2nd Road?
  9. It's quite possible you are doing it wrong. There's a button at the top of the page that's says search. Click on it and it will open up two menu's with one with a drop down and one for a key member lookup. I chose search all forums for Globetrotter and in the second portion Second type in Bazzap and click the match exact member or something like that, there's only one choice below so you can't make a mistake. Then hit search came up with 3 in Trip Reports, I skimmed the bottom one and I think that is the report that is being referred to.
  10. Damn really? Walmart like as in the US? I've attempted to purchase hardware before and they told me I needed to sign a new contract in order to purchase the hardware. Dumb, but I just purchased this silly phone at MBK in Jan-Feb for about 1800
  11. I've also heard the prices are quite high now everywhere for LOS trips, I must have gotten lucky as I purchased my ticket around the end of February for $695 on JAL. That was unexpected, cause I just had returned home on February 7th. Guess I just can't stay away.
  12. Well I would say in BKK MBK probably has one of the biggest selections of used phones, though I'm quite sure there are cheaper alternative malls.
  13. CM are you asking in general in LOS or Pattaya or Bangkok?
  14. You just have to shop around, sometimes these hotel agents can be actually cheaper than direct sites to the hotel. Depends. For instance www.asiarooms.com www.passionasia.com www.asiahotels.com www.precisionreservations.com (note from reading other sites the reason they are cheaper than most is the fact that they do not add the tax the way the other sites do) and the best of all http://www.hotelreslist.com/ although this site is limited in which area of LOS you are going to. It is a good comparison website as it lays all kinds of hotel prices from a handful of vendors for you
  15. I agree with Hardeep. Was there in the begining of February in the new wing. Too me this place is a dump. The carpet looked old, the end tables looked old, the lamp shades looked like someone smashed the crap out of it and it was never replaced. The good things were no joiner fee, very cheap mini bar, the laundry is cheap, in room safe, a decent sized refridgerator. If you book in the new wing and want a balcony make sure to ask for the pool side of the wing, or you will just see 2nd Road and Soi 12 from your window...beautiful. However to me choosing hotels is like the way peo
  16. Does anyone know who is the cheapest to fly to Buriram? When I looked at the PB site they said 3300 for a RT. When I looked at Thai Airways it was the same although they added like 1400 or so each ticket for the fuel charge stuff. So is this the cheapest I'm going to get? By the way thanks for that PB link.
  17. I don't know, it may follow the high season low season. When I was there in Jan-Feb Chicken on a stick was 10 B but I may have gotten ripped off. Oh well, can you really be upset over a possible 5 B rip off?
  18. hmmmmmmmmmmm, i really wonder why this is not in the hotels section.
  19. Johnboy, Thanks for the reply. Useful information, hope you have a good trip. It seems no one else has stayed here.
